As soon as they entered the house, Wanwan looked up at her grandfather and asked, "Grandpa, have you been having nightmares lately?"
The old man was puzzled and asked his granddaughter how she knew that.
Without waiting for an answer, Wanwan jumped out of his arms and began rummaging through her bag. Finally, she pulled out two talismans that she wanted to give to her grandfather and father.
Seeing this, Qin's Dad quickly explained to the old man, "The one who adopted Precious Daughter is an old Taoist priest."
Then both of them crouched down to take the talismans from Wanwan's hands, and she reminded them repeatedly to keep them with them at all times.
The old man felt a surge of happiness in his heart at his granddaughter's concern for him.
That night, after Qin's Dad had coaxed his daughter to sleep, he quietly left the room to meet Grandpa Qin in the study.
The old man advised him to calm down; now that his precious granddaughter had been found, he should return to work at the company tomorrow and take the opportunity to deal with the pests within it.
Grandpa Qin then happily fiddled with the talismans his granddaughter had given him. "It wasn't easy for us to find her back; from now on, let's call her Wanwan."
The next day, Qin's Dad groggily opened his eyes to see his daughter leaning over the bed, calling out, "I'm hungry."
He quickly kicked off the covers and scooped her up to head downstairs for breakfast.
Noticing that his daughter was staring at the buns with drool pooling in her mouth but not reaching for them, he curiously asked, "Why aren't you eating?"
Wanwan replied in her sweet little voice, "I want to wait for Grandpa to eat together."
Surprised by her politeness, Qin's Dad immediately explained, "Grandpa is old and still resting. He'll come down to eat when he wakes up."
Upon hearing this, Wanwan's eyes lit up, and then she devoured the food like a whirlwind. It wasn't until the breakfast table was completely cleared that she contentedly patted her little belly and let out a satisfied burp.
Seeing this, Qin's Dad smiled and said, "From now on, our little treasure will be called Wanwan, okay?"
Wanwan nodded in agreement, "That's what my master calls me."
Qin's Dad was somewhat shocked. "It seems the Taoist who adopted my daughter is quite remarkable."
He then gently patted his daughter's little head and affectionately declared, "From now on, I will have only one daughter, Wanwan."
Wanwan's expression darkened upon hearing this. "No, Daddy is lying."
Qin's Dad was taken aback. Was his daughter really that perceptive? Could she have foreseen this? Wanwan pointed to the family portrait behind them, urging her father to believe in science. Qin's Dad couldn't bear to be apart from his Precious Daughter for even a moment; he insisted on bringing Wanwan to work with him.
The employees at the company were astonished to see the chairman, who had disappeared for three years, back at work with an adorable little girl. They whispered among themselves; although their voices were low, Qin's Dad caught wind of their chatter and instantly teleported to Xiao Wang's side, boasting loudly, "How did you know my daughter is Wanwan?"
Xiao Wang was so startled that his jaw nearly dropped. Wanwan sweetly called out, "Uncle, hello!"
Qin's Dad then arranged for Xiao Wang to take his daughter around the office. As Wanwan held onto his little hand, she instantly melted Xiao Wang's heart. "So cute! Is this what human infants are like?"
Suddenly, someone greeted him, "Assistant Wang, what are you doing?"
Xiao Wang awkwardly explained, "I'm helping the chairman look after his child."
But when he turned around, he found that the area beside him was already empty. "Oh no! Where did the child go?"
After being missing for three years, his precious daughter had been lost again just a day after returning home.
Qin's Dad, a devoted father who couldn't bear to be apart from his daughter for even a moment, insisted on taking Wanwan with him to the office.
After arriving at the company, Qin's Dad arranged for Xiao Wang to take Wanwan on a tour to see the empire her father had built. Unexpectedly, in the time it took for Xiao Wang to say a few words, he lost track of the young lady.
At that moment, President Qin Qihuai was questioning how this little bundle of fluff had gotten in.
Wanwan did not answer; instead, she pinched her small hands together and said, "Bagua for separation, Kan for dominance."
Then she flashed a sweet smile and suddenly lunged toward Qin Qihuai, who was sitting in a wheelchair. "With a little calculation, you must be Wanwan's dear big brother!"
Seeing Wanwan climbing up his leg and trying to get closer, Qin Qihuai helplessly urged her to get down.
Next, he lifted Wanwan up with one hand. "You've got quite the boldness for such a little fluffball."
Wanwan waved her tiny hands desperately. "What does my brother need to believe Wanwan?"
Suddenly, the phone on the table rang. It was a message from Qin's Dad posted in the company group chat, looking for his lost child.
Wanwan pointed at the phone with a pitiful expression. "See? It must be Daddy!"
Qin Qihuai's eyes turned red as he affectionately stroked Wanwan's little head. "As long as you're back, that's all that matters."
Seeing her brother cry, Wanwan hurriedly comforted him. "Don't cry! Wanwan is here; I won't run away again."
Then she subtly changed the subject. "Big Brother, can we have dinner together at home tonight?"
Faced with his adorable little sister, Qin Qihuai found himself at a loss for how to refuse. After stammering for a while, he finally managed to say a few words: "Big Brother is a bit busy today."
Wanwan still wouldn't give up. "Then what about tomorrow?"
"There's a meeting tomorrow," the words had barely left his lips when Wanwan jumped off him in a huff.
"Big Brother, Bad Bad, Big Brother is lying." In the end, the doting brother Qin Qihuai compromised and called their father to explain that Wanwan was not only with him but that they would also be going back to the old house for dinner that night.
After work, Qin Qihuai sat in the car muttering, "I hope that mother and daughter won't be too bothersome."
Qin's Dad awkwardly explained, "They've been home for quite a while now."
He sighed and added, "Qinqin is still very young."
Before he could finish, Wanwan poked her little head out and interrupted, "Daddy, who is Qinqin?"
Qin's Dad had no choice but to explain, "Qinqin is Daddy's granddaughter, her full name is Qin Youqin, and she is your third brother's daughter. There are some conflicts between Qinqin and your big brother; he won't be happy to see them. Can Wanwan help Daddy talk to her brother?"
After hearing this, Wanwan touched her little head in confusion and asked, "Then why don't we let them go out?"
Qin's Dad explained, "They are family too now."
Suddenly, Wanwan turned her head and stared intently at her sulking big brother.
Then she sat beside him and gently tugged at his sleeve. "Big Brother, please don't be angry anymore. Later, Wanwan will give you all the things you love to eat."
The atmosphere in the car instantly became harmonious.
