If Old Hou appeared terrifying to others, to Zheng Yifan, he was simply a lovable old man. His medical skills were exceptional, particularly in the field of surgery where he could fully utilize his superpower. However, in the case of Li Ning, the focus was primarily on recovery. Li Ning's body was mainly lacking in vital energy and support from superpowers, continuously draining his potential. Now that he had the strength provided by Zheng Yifan, as long as he could endure the most challenging period, his body's strength would naturally recover.
The place where Li Ning was recuperating was quite peculiar; it was arranged at the Superpower Weapon Factory. According to Old Hou, due to Zheng Yifan's continuous investment and multifaceted support in resources and technology, the factory could now generate powerful vital energy fluctuations. Zheng Yifan wasn't sure how much this enhancement would yield, but he understood that acquiring vital energy and enhancing superpowers all depended on hard work and gradually gaining insights through battles with zombies.
Everything seemed to fall into place naturally. However, others did not have such favorable conditions and could only slowly improve before facing zombies in critical moments to seek breakthroughs.
At this point, Zheng Yifan was preparing to rebuild a batch of factories. He already had prototypes in hand, which meant he could produce machines from the First Vitality Era that had been exchanged.
Just like the Soul Crystal Activator he currently possessed, along with the Vitality Container that could already be manufactured since he had enough blueprints.

As long as there was hope, the scientists in the Gathering Place were not lacking in capable hands; this project would naturally be arranged.
What Zheng Yifan needed was this factory.

Inside the elevator of the Ecological Sphere, Zheng Yifan stood in the center, surrounded by a group of people who spread out from him. The more influential fellows in the Gathering Place moved closer to him.
After pressing the elevator button, they quickly entered the Ecological Sphere. They were no longer Mudbugs; this was merely their office now. However, everyone was filled with curiosity about what their leader had been up to during his absence.
As everyone craned their necks to see, Han Rui managed to walk almost shoulder to shoulder with Zheng Yifan, just slightly lagging behind as he said softly, “Yifan, you must never take such risks again. Everyone in the Gathering Place is worried about you. Don’t you know?”
Han Rui's gentle words melted Zheng Yifan’s heart.
“Han Rui, you know me well. If I don’t work on improving my strength, I can’t guarantee that our Gathering Place will maintain its top combat power. You might not be aware, but I’ve already driven off the threat across the river. We can now smoothly open up the Eastern Passage; we can gradually occupy those areas in the south as well. We just need to give up on the coastal regions for now; those Zombies there are beyond our capability to handle, and moreover, there are Sea Beasts lurking around.” Zheng Yifan briefly explained to Han Rui about the ferocity of Sea Beasts and why truly formidable Zombies were slowly disappearing.
Only then did Han Rui realize that Zombies hadn’t weakened; rather, the stronger ones had gradually moved closer to the coast where they had to contend with Sea Beasts. A typical Zombie could possess strength akin to that of the sun.
These concepts were entirely new to them; initially, they thought that Zombies began to degenerate over time and could no longer evolve. Now they understood that Zombies weren’t lacking in evolution but had shifted towards a different evolutionary path and discovered even better evolutionary options.
As they spoke, they arrived beside the machine. Everyone stared at this seemingly high-tech device that resembled ordinary machinery from a post-apocalyptic world with some confusion.
Such machines were commonly seen in post-apocalyptic factories; now that they were here, their curiosity had waned significantly. They genuinely didn’t know what there was to be curious about anymore.
At that moment, a specialist in the application of Zombie Crystal emerged from the crowd. He was an Old Scientist who had long been part of the laboratory but had previously gone unnoticed, so much so that even Zheng Yifan could not recall his name.
However, this Old Scientist quietly approached the machine and began rummaging through the technical documents stacked on the ground, which stood over half a meter tall.
He resembled a dedicated tech enthusiast, completely absorbed in his task.
Everyone held their breath, waiting for the expert's conclusion.
Unfortunately, it seemed that this Fellow had become so engrossed in the documents that he spent over twenty minutes before suddenly exclaiming, "Ah! So that's such a simple principle! With theoretical support, give me two months and I could design it myself!" (To be continued)
