Carrying the lives of five brothers, the struggling Leihong finally welcomed the hope of future success, the Eastern Luminous Pure Fire, a flame that cleansed the world. 0

Gasping for breath, he watched as flames gradually appeared in the sky. The White Flame was devoid of temperature, always so calm and peaceful, yet it carried the destructive power to completely disintegrate Zombies. 0

During his usual training with Superpower, he had always tried to practice where others couldn't see him. Even when facing Zombies, he thought it was merely a stronger Superpower specifically designed to combat them. 0

However, now, harnessing the immense power from numerous Flame Espers made him feel the mightiest force in the world. It was the accumulated willpower of countless ages. 0

The overwhelming power was astonishing, almost capable of punishing sins. 0

Thus, the vast and boundless power of the White Flame emerged. The flames in mid-air did not vanish or diminish; instead, they slowly spread over a ten-kilometer radius. Within this range, all Zombies would be engulfed by this flame, their bodies nourishing the Eastern Luminous Pure Fire until the moment of emergence. 0

Every ordinary human would carry a seed of Eastern Luminous Pure Fire within them. When faced with life-threatening danger, this flame would shield them from a fatal blow. 0

Of course, this protection could not exceed certain limits; otherwise, it would still be powerless. 0

Unless Leihong had already become a Fifth-Level Esper, then on this battlefield, there would be hardly any Zombie capable of resisting such overwhelming power. 0

In the end, they could only be purified. 0

The magnificent flames astonished the Left Guard as they gazed at the white fire in the sky and the flame seeds within their own bodies. Silently summoning a Messenger, they ordered immediate documentation of this individual and reinforced protection. 0

The flames on the Gliding Zombies ignited first, growing increasingly intense as they slowly consumed them. 0

These were Leihong's primary targets. Next came the Ordinary Zombies; those of higher ranks were attacked first. The Ordinary Zombies appeared to be purified as they slowly regressed to their human forms before once again turning into lifeless husks. 0

Even Buddha Fire could not save these souls that had been completely eroded; the powerful Eastern Luminous Pure Fire was helpless against them. 0

The battle experienced a brief pause, as if both sides silently pressed pause for a second; then came even fiercer attacks. 0

Once, the Eastern Luminous Pure Fire incinerated tens of thousands of Zombies, causing the massive Zombie in the distance to lose the vast majority of its Gliding Zombies, leaving only a few hanging from its body. 0

This infuriated it greatly; its hands flailed wildly as its body slowly moved forward. 0

It seemed genuinely enraged, with black liquid rapidly secreting within its body, enhancing its strength once again. 0

The remaining Gliding Zombies twisted their ridiculous bodies, inching closer to the massive Zombie's shoulder, ready to spring into action at any moment. 0

Suddenly, a dozen Superpowered Individuals appeared silently beside Leihong. Each possessed defensive Superpowers capable of blocking the Zombie's attacks as much as possible. 0

They quietly concealed Leihong in a shelter behind the city wall, a place for the injured to recuperate. Located over two meters underground, it allowed for immediate escape through other passages. 0

On the battlefield, Leihong was not the only standout; it was only in battle that humanity's true fighting power could be seen. 0

The combined strength of numerous Superpowered Individuals was unimaginable. 0

Those using wind-based powers gathered together. Slowly harnessing their Superpowers under the coordination of a Psychic-Type Esper, all their wind currents converged and operated simultaneously. With synchronized effort, the wind force surged to a wild intensity, unleashing a ferocious wind blade. 0

It resembled a colossal dragon-like wind blade, infused with intense killing intent and fueled by the efforts of thousands of Superpowered Individuals. 0

The wind blade undulated across the ground like a massive scythe, slicing through Zombies that resembled wild grass. Yet more numerous were countless smaller wind blades that formed a whirlwind; anyone caught within would be shredded into pieces by these myriad blades. 0

There was no escape; only overwhelming destructive force remained. The wind blade was direct and wild. 0

Meanwhile, those manipulating water displayed extraordinary prowess. Underestimating them as mere ordinary Superpowered Individuals would be a grave mistake because, on the ground, flowing gasoline was as good as water to them. 0

Though controlling water from a kilometer away was challenging, they still achieved results. The massive Fat Zombie charging into the raging flames was steadily pushed back by their efforts as they manipulated gasoline to ignite it directly upon contact, causing premature explosions. 0

The prematurely detonated Fat Zombie was unable to properly seal the oil inlet. Even more powerful, they could control the disgusting liquid left by the Zombies on the ground, slowly clearing the blockage. 0

Although it was a drop in the bucket, they had gradually regained much of their territory and managed to keep other Zombies at bay, reducing the number of Zombies within the encircled area. 0

Effectively controlling the number of Zombies allowed for slaughter; while the impact was not immediately apparent, their contributions were undeniably significant over time. 0

More special Water Espers that could turn liquid into gas made gasoline vaporize more favorably for combustion, resulting in even fiercer flames. 0

Suddenly, tremors rippled across the ground, and tiny cracks appeared. Dust seemed to blanket them, scattering above their heads. 0

Then, the dust coalesced into stone spikes, raining down like stone hail upon the Zombies' heads. More targets were aimed at the Zombie Crystal s on the Zombies' necks. 0

That was their absolute weakness; attacking the Zombie Crystal was undoubtedly the fastest way to take down a Zombie. 0

The battle raged fiercely, as if a gentle breeze had passed through. However, it gradually escalated into a tempest, with heavy rain beginning to join in. A vast expanse of clouds silently appeared in the sky. 0

But mistaking this for ordinary clouds would be a grave error. Those were formed by Superpowered Individuals using their Superpowers to manipulate gasoline in the air. The scent of gasoline would surely make anyone dizzy. 0

Occasional gusts of wind carried the smell of gas, as a Superpowered Individual who had just used Wind Blade took action again, blowing the gas away while ensuring it wouldn’t spread or dissipate. 0

The flames covering the ground tormented the Zombies, yet the Leader Zombies continued their assault without hesitation. 0

The Third-Stage Zombies were already at the forefront. Flames? To them, it was mere child’s play that posed no serious threat. 0

Only those White Flames could cause them some trouble, but as long as they endured the initial explosion, everything would dissipate into nothingness. 0

Ultimately, Leihong was still a Second-Stage Esper; his lethality had reached its limit here. He had borrowed too much power and used too many abilities beyond what a Superpowered Individual of his level could wield. 0

If he were to become a Fifth Level or even a Sixth Tier Superpowered Individual, it was likely that he could resolve this battle on his own. Among all Superpowered Individuals, he was truly one of a kind. 0

That powerful flame carried the message of death and the hope of life. 0

"Roar!" The massive Zombie finally approached Ruiguan. The ten-meter-high city wall before him was merely a slight obstacle; with enough force, he could easily leap over it. 0

But he did not leap over. Instead, his gaze swept forward, searching for Leihong's figure. It was a hatred that stemmed from deep within; each Gliding Zombie was like his child. Although there were many children, he did not care about the death of one or two, as more would be born. 0

However, nearly all had been wiped out. The nature of this loss was different; each Gliding Zombie was the source of his sustenance. Without the Gliding Zombies, he would lose the ability to acquire resources for survival. Gradually, he would be subsumed by other Zombies, even having his power absorbed. 0

The most terrifying were the Leader Zombies. Once they lost their power and encountered special circumstances, those Leader Zombies would undoubtedly go to great lengths to transform themselves into Puppet Zombies; they had that capability. 0

The faint intelligence of the enormous Zombie told him that he must replenish his strength and expand his subordinates. 0

He needed to acquire more resources. Then evolve—evolve into an even more powerful Zombie—so that he could stand forever outside the control of the Leader Zombies. 0

The emergence of Leader Zombies was a nightmare for Ordinary Zombies. Once controlled by them, the vast majority of Zombies would behave like Puppets, unable to possess freedom. 0

When he was still an ordinary Zombie, such occurrences did not matter to him because he lacked intelligence. 0

But now it was different. He had gained intelligence and could think, although his memory was poor and his thought processes were noticeably slower. 0

Yet now he understood that he absolutely could not be enslaved, for that would mean losing his freedom. 0

So he roared in fury; he had gone mad. He fixed his gaze on those Superpowered Individuals; they were his prey. 0

"Howl! Roar!" The gigantic Zombie bellowed and roared, then placed his hands on the city wall. His massive claws, two to three meters wide, struck like siege weapons, instantly creating a huge breach. Although it did not reach the ground and was only four or five meters deep, it still impacted the defenses above the wall significantly. 0

Even more dangerously, no one on the city walls dared to confront the massive Zombie. 0

Not even the Left Guard could do so, as they had not yet reached Third-Stage Esper status. The absolute suppression of power left them in a very passive position. 0

They could still handle ordinary Third-Stage Zombies, but facing one that had crossed two stages was beyond their capability. 0

Indeed, this enormous Zombie was a Fourth-Stage Zombie, but it belonged to a mutated category. 0

Ordinary Fourth-Stage Zombies do not possess high intelligence; they can only attack using their chainsaw-like tails. While their limb strength has been enhanced, it is nowhere near this outrageous level. 0

This gigantic Zombie was simply too formidable. After attacking the city wall, it suddenly leaped up. The ten-meter-high wall seemed insignificant beneath its feet, as if it were merely a hurdle; whenever it wanted, it could easily jump to the other side. 0

At that moment, a very resonant voice echoed from a distance. 0

“Did you see that? This is the first lesson I taught you.” Suddenly, a figure appeared in mid-air, pouring fine wine into his mouth with his left hand while his body slowly leaned toward the Zombie. 0

Then came a strange force, as if the Zombie itself had suddenly retreated. Its entire body spun almost one hundred eighty degrees before violently shaking. 0

“Boom!” The massive Zombie crashed to the ground, creating a deep crater several meters wide. 0

Next to it stood a disheveled old man who was gulping down wine. His flushed face and the already purple Rhinophyma made him an uncomfortable sight to behold. 0

The stench of alcohol was overwhelming. 0

Was that wine? No, it was pure alcohol. 0

As wine spilled from the corner of his mouth onto the ground, it occasionally ignited upon contact with flames. 0

But he didn't mind at all, swaying his body as he faced the enormous Zombie opposite him, moving up and down in a rhythm. 0

With a drink in his left hand and his right hand slightly curled inward, he had truly mastered the peak of appearing drunk without being drunk, feeling tipsy yet maintaining clarity of mind. 0

Of course, if it were a real fight, he would indeed be completely wasted, utterly intoxicated to the point where he couldn't control his body. Walking in a straight line would have become a challenge, leaving only a sliver of consciousness remaining. 0

Suddenly, the massive Zombie lunged forward, charging at Shi Laonian. Its gigantic frame and sharp claws carved deep trenches into the ground. 0

The trenches were over two meters deep, and with such wild force, it was as if gods and Buddhas would be slain in its path. 0

However, Shi Laonian's hand seemed to rest lightly on the Zombie's Claw. As the creature exerted its strength, he leaned back but didn’t use much force himself. 0

He barely exerted any effort at all. 0

At the moment when the enormous Zombie exhausted its strength, Shi Laonian moved. His eyes sparkled with intensity as he placed both hands on the Zombie's Claw. With a pull and a push, an immense power emerged. 0

Then came a strange tremor. The shaking was very subtle, nearly invisible to the naked eye, yet it was undeniably present on Shi Laonian's body—his hands, his legs, and even on the Zombie itself. 0

"Well done, Shi Laonian! Finally willing to use your Superpower?" Wu Yingzhou chuckled as he watched Shi Laonian continue to fight. 0

As Shi Laonian's hands rested on the massive Zombie's Claw, the tremors intensified. His body swayed with the Zombie's attacks—up and down, left and right—but his hand positions hardly changed. Then they saw the Zombie begin to tremble violently; the hardened skin that had formed on its body was slowly shedding onto the ground. Even the nails on its Claw were falling off, leaving behind piles of powder where the massive Zombie had clawed at the earth. (To be continued) 0
