A storm suddenly erupted, echoing deep within the minds of Jufeng and his companions.
Ten Crimson Rank, twenty Tenth Rank, and three hundred Azure Level upper tier.
Shangguan Wangyu thought to himself, this is a rhythm that defies expectations!
An Azure Level upper tier could hold a Master-level position in an ordinary Military. Even though the Dragon Breaker Army, Hurricane Army, Zhongzheng Army, and Scorpion Army had similar Azure Elite Special Forces, they were mostly limited to Blue Level Lower Tier.
Let alone the Tenth Rank.
In this place, there was only one Tenth Rank—Tian Feng. Upon hearing Shangguan Wangyu's words, he suddenly felt utterly worthless. For the first time, he doubted the value of the mecha he had studied for Eight Years in Universal Hunting—yet what good would that do?
Shangguan Wangyu was pleased with the reactions of most of Jufeng's group but felt disappointed with Jufeng himself. Seeing Jufeng's calm demeanor, unshaken and composed, only fueled his frustration.
"I thought your current demeanor was just an act. But even if you pretend to be calm, what good does it do? In the face of absolute power, you can only submit. And I won't even give you the chance to submit."
Jufeng looked at Shangguan Wangyu's condescending expression and couldn't help but shake his head.
"Do you think I'm putting on a show? But you know I'm not someone who enjoys showing off."
Shangguan Wangyu raised an eyebrow; sensing the tone in Jufeng's words, an ominous premonition washed over him.
Jufeng continued, "To be honest, I'm quite disappointed in you. Huankezhao has stood at the pinnacle of this Cosmos for decades, leading for so long, yet you can only achieve this little? It's truly regrettable and makes me want to laugh."
Anyone unfamiliar with Jufeng who happened to overhear his words would surely think he was a patient who had escaped from a mental institution without proper treatment.
There were ten Crimson Rank, twenty Tenth Rank, and three hundred Azure Level upper-tier members. This team was a force of destruction wherever they went. Looking across the entire Cosmos army, which force could possibly rival them? Even if Cao Ke led the charge, it would only end in utter defeat.
Yet, in Jufeng's mouth, they seemed to be worth nothing. Shangguan Wangyu found it hard to accept this reality.
"I never thought you were a pretentious person before, but now I've changed my mind."
Shangguan Wangyu pondered carefully, unable to believe that Jufeng had any trump card that could compare to this army. Until he heard the intense rumbling outside Huankezhao's building.
Those familiar with the sound could easily identify it; at least everyone present could recognize it as the noise of mechs in flight. And not just one mech—there were at least over a hundred.
Shangguan Wangyu was puzzled. He hadn't summoned those hidden elites who had remained concealed for so many years. Could they be Jufeng's people?
But even if the opponent had mechs, they would be nothing more than ants in front of his vast army.
However, what Jufeng said next made Shangguan Wangyu doubt his own ears.
"Your Highness, I have prepared a hundred Crimson Rank mechs. I wonder if that is enough to compete with the elites you've kept hidden."
Outside the Universal Building, the crowd scattered in panic like birds and beasts fleeing. The earlier excitement was instantly overshadowed by the fear of losing their lives, as nearly a hundred mechs suddenly soared into the sky behind the building.
The Mecha Squad guarding the perimeter of the Suihuan Army also took to the air to intercept them. However, what unfolded next was both unfortunate and astonishing: over two hundred ascending mechs were all taken down by the enemy in less than ten seconds.
Heavy mechs fell to the ground, crashing down amidst the neon lights that flickered in the night, the bustling red-light district filled with clinking glasses, and the towering buildings where elites mingled during the day. All of it was unfortunate enough to be struck by the falling mechs from above.
The misfortune of the situation was perhaps only slightly tremulous, while the greater misfortune was a catastrophic upheaval. In an instant, the once lively night market was thrown into chaos, with people and horses alike tumbling over one another, cries of despair echoing throughout. The scene was beyond mere chaos.
Among the hundred mechs, the two leading figures were Lu Hongyu and Vera, who had not participated in the rescue operation. At this moment, Lu Hongyu was chattering incessantly, completely abandoning his usual calm and composed demeanor.
Lu Hongyu's emotions were hard to contain; he had never dared to dream of such a scene in his life. Leading a hundred Crimson-Class Mecha into battle—what kind of experience was this? It felt like something out of a fairy tale!
He exclaimed excitedly, "I truly admire Jufeng. This hundred-strong Crimson-Class Mecha is sweeping through like a force of nature! Where did he manage to gather such an army? Just how much manpower, resources, and finances must have been expended? How did he manage to recruit such elite mech pilots? It's just too unfair!"
Inside her mech, Vera smiled lightly. Initially shocked by Jufeng's actions, she had not expected him to actually pull it off.
She knew there was no need to respond to Lu Hongyu's words; he was merely rambling to dispel his own astonishment. Instead, Vera connected a communication line to someone else and spoke in a soft and gentle voice, "Brother Shen Lu, I really appreciate your help this time."
On the other end of the line was Shen Lu, dressed in a dark robe. He was the eldest disciple of Jufeng in Yanhuang City, currently serving as the leader of Yanhuang City, and a Red Tier Mid-Level Mecha Operator from Star.
Indeed, these hundred Red-Class Mecha Pilots hailed from Star, from that place where martial arts were held in high esteem. Long before Jufeng went to Star over ten years ago, mechs had already been thriving there. So many years had passed, yet their strength was still not fully revealed.
Shen Lu chuckled innocently and said, "Sister-in-law, there's no need for such politeness. The rise and fall of a nation is everyone's responsibility; moreover, it's a matter of honor for us. Just give us your commands; you don’t need to worry about anything else."
Vera understood that she didn’t need to be courteous; she simply found herself deeply fond of these Warriors from Yanhuang City. Each one was approachable, and she always felt a warm and friendly aura emanating from them.
With such a formidable lineup, what more did Vera need to command?
Inside the Universal Building, Shangguan Wangyu received a report from his subordinate, confirming that Jufeng's words were not mere theatrics. His expression twisted unnaturally as he felt a surge of unease.
What he had brought out was indeed a trump card, one that would leave the enemy with no room for counterattack in any situation.
Yet today, why did everything seem to falter when facing Jufeng?
Shangguan Wangyu murmured, "It seems I underestimated you."
Jufeng replied, "You always look down on others because your eyes cannot tolerate any enemies. However, today's events might serve as a warning for you; the saying 'there are always people better than you' is indeed the truth."
As soon as Jufeng finished speaking, a sudden and violent roar erupted outside one of the windows on this floor. The corner of the wall shattered, debris scattered, and the howling night wind rushed violently into the room.
