After returning to Earth, Jufeng spent two months in a murky situation in Huaguo, which finally began to clear up.
Mu Shu had promised Jufeng that within two months, she would reunite the Unification Alliance as a follow-up to their previous negotiations. In the past, Mu Shu had sold herself as a bargaining chip to Jufeng, securing the survival of the Unification Alliance. Now, Mu Shu fulfilled her promise, and Jufeng also honored his.
The situation in the northwest was set against a backdrop of thunder and rain. The departure of Mu Zhongde signaled that the fierce tiger that had swept through Hua Gang last year had turned into a hunting dog, leaving the future of the Unification Alliance uncertain.
Mu Shu's thoughts could reach far into the future. She understood that despite having a gentleman's agreement with Jufeng, if Huaguo were to unify one day, the Unification Alliance would have no choice but to compromise under that unification.
Thus, she needed to leave a way out for the Unification Alliance. That night, she swiftly divided her forces and headed southeast.
Although the Unification Alliance was not as strong as before, it still had enough manpower to form a sizable contingent led by a young man who had risen rapidly during Mu Shu's time. By dawn, they reached Wucheng through land, sea, and air.
Wucheng was at the heart of Huaguo, where the longest river in Huaguo converged with the Han River. Hanzhong was also located within the Han River basin, making these two cities like two baskets balanced on a pole.
Of course, this pole appeared somewhat crooked.
The United Heart Association held significant power in Wucheng and was an established force with deep roots. Although their numbers were not large, they were not easy to deal with. However, the Unification Alliance capitalized on surprise; at dawn, they launched a blitz attack that caused considerable disruption to the United Heart Association.
While this advantage did not inflict serious damage, it was not easy to gain such an upper hand. After their success, the Unification Alliance established a foothold in Wucheng and formed a standoff with the United Heart Association.
Mu Shu's goal was simple: to send a signal to the United Heart Association that their old neighbor had completed internal pacification and posed no threat from within. It was just the right moment for them to regroup and set sail again.
This created a psychological advantage akin to having a landmine placed at your doorstep; even if it might never explode, could you ignore it? Wouldn't it constantly weigh on your mind? Only when you could remove it would you be able to sleep soundly and eat well.

Shi Yushu was not fond of luxury; thus, he resided in an ordinary spacious detached villa with security managed entirely by the United Heart Association.
Han Fan had returned from the front lines. Previously slowed down due to Jufeng's departure, now faced with imminent threats and distractions from enemies nearby made Shi Yushu anxious. He had no choice but to summon his most trusted subordinate back to his side for reassurance.
Inside the villa, Han Fan looked at the battle reports in his hand, his expression as dark as last night's rain clouds over Hanzhong City. He truly hadn't expected that Jufeng would not come here immediately upon his return but instead head northwest and swiftly resolve matters with Mu Zhongde, accelerating the integration of the Unification Alliance.
Now they found themselves in a precarious position—caught between two enemies. Although the United Heart Association was not powerless to resist, it certainly could not hold out for long. Moreover, since the Unification Alliance was still in transition, they had only sent one team for now. Once Mu Zhongde's daughter completed consolidating power in the northwest, the United Heart Association would truly face extinction.
"Brother Han," he said urgently, "what should we do now? With Mu Zhongde dead and Jufeng back, it's likely that a storm will soon strike us in Su City. After resting for so long, we still have to be on guard against the Unification Alliance; we can't fully concentrate on our enemies. If this drags on, we will be in danger."
Shi Yushu repeatedly explained the already clear situation, and Han Fan cursed inwardly. Although Shi Yushu was somewhat better than Guan Bochao in terms of leadership, his lack of composure mirrored that of the Reckless Son.
However, Han Fan dared not show any disrespect on his face. After pondering silently for a while, he suddenly had a bright idea and felt a surge of joy. Seeing this, Shi Yushu realized that Han Fan had found a solution and hurriedly approached him.
"Brother Han, you've come up with a plan so quickly! You truly are my benefactor. Please, share it with me."
Han Fan thought to himself that he had no desire to be anyone's benefactor. He reflected on the ruthless decisions he had to make and how even Shi Yushu could end up as a victim in the hands of Jufeng. He didn't want to follow in that path. First, he needed to assess whether there was any room for maneuvering in this situation. If it truly became unavoidable, he wouldn't hesitate to seek his own glory.
He had already devised a plan in his mind but knew he needed to help Shi Yushu resolve the immediate crisis first.
"President, do you remember why we became enemies of the Hurricane?" Han Fan said slowly.
Shi Yushu was taken aback by the question and didn't understand its intent, so he answered honestly.
"We were invited by Elder Pizza Hut from the Hua Gang Elder Council to join forces with Mu Zhongde and Hua Gang against Hurricane. What do you mean by asking me this?"
Han Fan thought to himself that Shi Yushu was quite dense; he had hinted at it already, yet Shi Yushu still didn't get it. Sighing inwardly, he prepared to explain further.
"You are correct, President. We attacked Hurricane because of Pizza Hut's invitation. Now that Mu Zhongde is dead, it leaves only us and Hua Gang. If we are defeated as well, Hua Gang will be left alone and vulnerable. Pizza Hut surely understands the principle of 'when the lips are gone, the teeth will be cold.' Therefore, if we ask for his help, he will surely assist us."
"Moreover, while Giant Wolf Gang appears to be at odds with Hua Gang, neither side has engaged in real combat; it's all just for show. Pizza Hut is waiting for the situation to clarify before striking decisively. Upon hearing Han Fan clearly explain the pros and cons of the situation, Shi Yushu felt relieved and much lighter in spirit.
"Brother Han is right! I will contact Pizza Hut immediately. He dragged us into this mess; there's no way he'll just sit back and watch us perish."
Hearing this, Han Fan couldn't help but curse inwardly again. When they were invited initially, Shi Yushu eagerly participated without hesitation and quickly rose to become the leader of the United Heart Association. His confidence soared as he saw Hurricane as a lucrative target. Now they found themselves in murky waters stirred up by Hurricane—what did that have to do with him?
In the end, it was all due to greed—a sin inherent to humanity. It seemed like a very true statement now.
Watching Shi Yushu prepare to leave, Han Fan quickly called out to stop him.
"President, there's no rush in sending that message. Jufeng excels at using surprise tactics; knowing we are on high alert now means he won't make any large-scale moves immediately. However, I have something I wonder if I should say."
Shi Yushu's expression darkened at these words; feigning annoyance, he replied, "Brother Han! I've called you my brother; what could you possibly say that you can't share with me? But go ahead."
Han Fan chuckled coldly in his heart before respectfully saying, "Previously in Huaguo, there were three factions standing strong together; each gang had its elders and patrons. The Unification Alliance and Hua Gang have already made their moves in the world; however, it seems our United Heart Association has been rather inactive. I believe now is a critical moment for survival; perhaps we should also summon those experts to aid us."
Shi Yushu's expression revealed his difficulty. He had indeed considered this, but the elders of the United Heart Association were quite proud. He had visited them twice, only to be inexplicably turned away. It was frustrating to have money to spend but not know what to do.
Of course, he wouldn't share this embarrassing story with anyone. Since the United Heart Association didn't seem to be facing any immediate risks, he decided to postpone the matter for now.
Shi Yushu fabricated a lie, saying, "Brother Han, you may not know this, but the elders will only come out in the most critical situations. Just look at the Three Hundred Ascetic Monks from the Unification Alliance; they only emerged when a hurricane hit their doorstep.
