The two aircraft flew for an entire day and night before finally arriving at the temporary base of the Terrorists, located on an unknown planet.
As the two aircraft descended slowly onto a makeshift landing station, dozens of armed members of the Armed Team surged forward before anyone could disembark.
"Feng, don't worry. This is standard procedure. We can't afford to be seen here, so we must be cautious."
Jufeng nodded, feeling a sense of respect for these Terrorists; no wonder they were so difficult to deal with, leaving the Cosmic Police in a state of frustration.
He gently reassured his wife and Hua Cheng, while Yang Fang and the Terrorists had long since grown accustomed to such displays of affection; they were happy to see the couple together.
Before long, a thorough inspection concluded, and the leader of the inspection team removed his helmet to greet Yang Fang.
"Welcome back." Underneath the helmet was a handsome face belonging to a young man around Jufeng's age, who greeted Yang Fang warmly.
However, Yang Fang showed little joy at returning home. With a look of melancholy, he said, "Don't tease me. I didn't handle things well this time; who knows how my cousin will blame me. Anyway, let's not dwell on that. I want to introduce you to someone who helped us escape this time."
Yang Fang pulled Jufeng closer and said, "Feng, this is our number one warrior, Chen Tan Hua. He pilots the Crimson Rank mech—quite impressive."
Then he turned to Chen Tan Hua and introduced, "This is Ju Feng; he's quite skilled as well."
Jufeng shook hands with Chen Tan Hua, carefully sizing him up. With years of experience in recognizing talent and martial arts intuition, he could tell that this person was definitely not ordinary.
Chen Tan Hua grasped Jufeng's hand and paused slightly in surprise before smiling and saying, "So you're trained in martial arts as well. My apologies."
Jufeng understood that such individuals were the most dangerous, so he remained fully alert and cautious in his response. Fortunately, it wasn't the right time for conversation; after exchanging a few words, they were shown to their accommodations.
This planet served as a gathering point for the Terrorists. The buildings were relatively standard in scale and well-equipped with facilities. Yang Fang arranged for Jufeng and his group to settle in before hurriedly taking him to visit his superior—his cousin, Yang Chou—without paying much attention to Jufeng's injuries.
"Feng, I'm sorry for not letting you rest and dragging you here to handle business. Please forgive me."
Jufeng chuckled and said, "Yang Ge, there's no need for that. We're all brothers here, no hard feelings. I just don't know much about your cousin's temperament, and I'm a bit worried about upsetting him."
Yang Fang smiled knowingly and replied, "Our team consists of five groups. In the past, they were all from different places. My cousin is a former Warlord who was taken down by the government, so he fled and became a Terrorist. There are also pirates and gangsters among us; it's quite a mixed bag."
Upon hearing this, Jufeng gained a more comprehensive understanding of the Terrorists. It turned out they were not a single dominant force but rather five groups operating on equal footing. Yang Fang's mention of pirates likely referred to the Azure Dragon Monk's crew, which must still be led by that Bald Donkey who had once been so arrogant.
With this knowledge in mind, Jufeng continued to listen as Yang Fang introduced more details: "My cousin Yang Chou comes from a military background and is quite shrewd. Don't laugh at me for saying this; I genuinely find it hard to face him. He only looks out for me because we're related. When we meet him later, just keep quiet; I'll handle everything."
Jufeng nodded but couldn't help but smile wryly to himself. He had thought that gaining Yang Fang's absolute trust would make things smoother, but he hadn't expected to face such formidable characters right after arriving on the Terrorist's planet.
The long journey felt like it had only just begun.
After a swift ride with Yang Fang, they arrived at a villa complex in about fifteen minutes.
As soon as they entered the area of the villas, armed guards became increasingly vigilant, with two mechs patrolling in the distance. This showed just how cautious Yang Chou was.
After passing through layers of security checks, Jufeng and Yang Fang finally reached Yang Chou's villa. Before entering, Yang Fang meticulously adjusted his attire, causing Jufeng's heart to flutter with anticipation.
"Knock knock knock!!!" The sound of knocking echoed urgently, mirroring Yang Fang's current state of mind.
"Come in." A voice from inside responded, revealing no discernible emotion—neither joy nor anger. Yang Fang gestured for Jufeng to wait outside while he pushed the door open first.
Once inside, Jufeng stood dutifully at the door, refraining from peeking or eavesdropping. His hands remained firmly at his sides, betraying his inner turmoil.
After some time passed without any loud commotion from within, Yang Fang opened the door and called Jufeng inside.
"Cousin, this is my brother Ju Feng, who just saved my life."
Jufeng respectfully greeted, "Boss," at Yang Fang's gesture.
The large office was decorated quite simply; apart from a set of desks and chairs, a sofa, and a bookshelf, there was nothing else, which suited a military personality well.
Yang Chou sat behind the desk, an old computer placed on it. He responded indifferently to Jufeng's greeting.
His face, in his forties, showed no extra expression. He leaned slightly forward, inexplicably increasing the pressure in the room.
"You are young and promising. Good, follow Fang from now on."
He glanced meaningfully at Jufeng before turning his attention back to the computer screen, ignoring Yang Fang and Jufeng.
Yang Fang pulled the slightly dazed Jufeng and slowly took their leave.
Once the room was empty, Yang Chou stared at the screen and murmured, "What a young man who knows how to perform."
On the old computer screen, the image displayed was of Jufeng's movements outside the door just moments ago.
Back home, Vera noticed that Jufeng's expression seemed off and curiously asked, "Weren't you on top of the world? Why do you look so worried?"
Jufeng replied gravely, "On top of the world? As long as it's not like drawing water with a bamboo basket. What do you think of Chen Tan Hua?"
Vera recalled the rather heroic young man in the aircraft and nodded slightly. "He's indeed not an easy character to deal with. We just need to have less contact with him; there's no need to worry too much."
"That's just one factor," Jufeng continued. "I just visited Yang Chou. He used to be a Warlord and is certainly not an easy person to get along with. Gaining his trust will be difficult. I'm afraid we'll have to go through some trouble again."
Vera remained silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled lightly and said, "I never thought that the renowned Feng Shao could also be afraid."
"Afraid?" Jufeng's tone rose sharply at her words, adopting an imposing demeanor. However, under Vera's piercing gaze, he quickly deflated.
"If one were alone, there would be no worries, but who asked for the burden of people like you!"
Vera turned around and sat at the vanity to comb her hair, speaking calmly, "Do you know what characteristics a dead duck has?"
Jufeng seemed deflated; it appeared that in front of Vera, it was difficult to gain the upper hand except on rare occasions.
