The actions of the Black Scab Brigade were thunderous, and combined with the somewhat carefree demeanor of the agents, it allowed the Black Scab to proceed smoothly.
By the time the monitoring room noticed something was amiss, several minutes had already passed.
When the Life Detector detected that the agents were losing their lives one by one, the responsible Operator immediately stood up, ready to relay this news to higher authorities through a secret line.
However, before he could finish entering his contact information on the computer, a missile adorned with the flames of hell's judgment shattered the window and flew into the room.
“Missile…”
Boom!
Before several agents could react, the relatively small missile exploded instantly. The wild and unrestrained energy, along with flying debris, engulfed everyone in the room in an instant.
…
In the adjacent room, Li Hong and Lin Ruxian rose from the sofa with pale faces, their hearts racing as they listened to the deafening explosion next door.
Had it finally come to this?
The violent blast caused the hotel structure to tremble violently, shaking as if an earthquake of magnitude eight or nine had struck.
Once everything calmed down amidst the acrid smell of smoke from next door, Li Hong glanced at his watch.
It was exactly twelve o'clock!
“It’s time to go!” Li Hong shouted, grabbing Lin Ruxian's right hand. Lin Ruxian nodded tightly, holding onto Yuchen in her arms who was too scared to speak. The three of them hurriedly opened the door that was swaying precariously from the explosion.
Waiting outside was a member of the Black Scab Brigade who glanced at the three. A Black Scab Warrior gently took Yuchen from Lin Ruxian's arms and then led Li Hong and Lin Ruxian swiftly downstairs.
As they moved forward, Li Hong couldn't help but feel a chill for the audacity of these people as he watched the walls of the corridor crack and tremble.
They had really gone too far!
The three of them were advancing, flanked by a pair of blood-black clad Black Scab Warriors who guarded their path.
The black bodysuits were already soaked with blood, and Li Hong had no doubt that each Black Scab Warrior had blood on their hands from several lives taken.
They really killed them!
As they progressed, Li Hong shook his head, deeply aware of how tricky and difficult the situation had become.
Initially, he thought these people would just knock out the agents outside and quietly take his family away from Las Vegas.
He never expected they would kill all the agents, even resorting to using missiles—such terrifying weapons—to avoid exposing their operation.
In the end, he had underestimated his hidden opponents!
Li Hong had to admit that he had overestimated the American Empire's CIA Agents. He thought it would be enough to just incapacitate them; little did he know that killing was not an option.
It seemed that the competition among agents was far more brutal than Li Hong had imagined. Agents like them, once engaged in combat, likely showed no mercy. They were all agents; none could claim superiority over the others. Could you just knock someone out? In a life-and-death struggle, how could you gauge your actions? If you didn’t kill, someone else would take you out.
With this realization, Li Hong began to understand. He had ultimately underestimated his opponents. The Black Scab Warriors were strong, but they couldn’t guarantee they would incapacitate their targets every time. Since they couldn’t ensure that, they had no choice but to kill for the sake of a smooth operation.
Due to the explosion, the elevator was already out of service. Even if it were operational, Li Hong wouldn’t dare step into such a contraption. With walls tearing apart around them, who knew what might happen if they got into an elevator?
For safety reasons, they continued along the escape route set by the hotel.
Along the way, Li Hong was astonished to find that there wasn’t a single hotel staff member in sight.
However, upon further thought, Li Hong realized that the hotel had likely been completely taken over by the CIA shortly after he checked in. The staff had probably been dismissed long ago. The only ones left were agents—just agents.
Now that the agents were completely ruthless, what kind of service personnel could possibly remain?
Li Hong's room was on the fourth floor of the hotel. It wasn't a high floor, and everyone made their way down the increasingly dusty emergency exit in less than five minutes, reaching the outside of the hotel.
Outside, traces of gunfire were everywhere. A few Rolls-Royce cars parked at the entrance for welcoming guests had turned into burning fireballs amidst the smoke.
Li Hong understood that those monitoring him couldn't possibly be confined to just the hotel; there were likely many undercover agents stationed outside as well.
These individuals must have entered the hotel after engaging in a battle with the guards outside before storming inside.
However, to conceal a fight so effectively that even the agents inside the hotel were unaware of what was happening outside was quite impressive.
But now was not the time to praise anyone's skills; time was of the essence. They needed to move quickly to the coast and then take a speedboat to board a nuclear submarine lurking beneath the Pacific before they could return home.
If they took too long and the CIA discovered what was happening here, no one knew how furious White Eagle would react. If they delayed, Li Hong might be greeted by a tactical missile descending from above.
At the hotel entrance, several armored PV vehicles were already prepared. The reason for their armor was evident as Li Hong noticed that the doors were several centimeters thicker than the backrests of the seats.
It was terrifying; from the outside, it looked like an inconspicuous PV, but once inside, one could truly appreciate its formidable nature.
The shimmering silver panels on the vehicle provided an unprecedented sense of security for its passengers.
When a Black Scab Warrior started the car, this PV—whose brand Li Hong couldn't recognize—roared to life with an engine sound comparable to that of a top-tier supercar, leaving him utterly speechless.
Well, this was probably the fighter jet among PVs.
A total of three PVs accommodated Li Hong's family of three along with more than twenty Black Scab Warriors. Yes, this passenger capacity was indeed impressive.
As the car was about to switch to another lane, Li Hong, sitting in the back seat, was stunned to see a large missile with a bluish tail flame rapidly flying toward the hotel building behind them.
Boom!
What is a top-tier fireworks display? This is probably it.
This missile was not like the previous playful one; this massive weapon unleashed hundreds of tons of TNT equivalent the moment it made contact with the hotel structure, instantly reducing the towering thirty-eight-story building into a pile of rubble.
Fortunately, their convoy had already driven out of the explosion range, so the shattered concrete and steel debris did not splatter over to their location.
However, even so, the thunderous roar still penetrated through the thick car body and reached Li Hong's ears. He finally experienced what deafening noise felt like firsthand.
The sensation of nearly losing his hearing was truly uncomfortable. They were sheltered inside a thick vehicle; if exposed outside, his eardrums would likely have burst from the blast.
