After completing the necessary procedures, Li Hong planned to take Yuchen home.
Unexpectedly, Principal Wan suddenly stopped Li Hong. She wanted to take a photo of Yuchen and create a file card for him.
This was an easy task, as Sunshine Kindergarten had a dedicated camera for such purposes. Li Hong didn't need to take Yuchen to a professional studio for a headshot.
Soon, Principal Wan called in the staff responsible for this task, who came to take Yuchen's picture.
Once everything was settled, Li Hong bid farewell to Principal Wan and took Yuchen back home.
With Yuchen about to start school, all the preparations needed to be made.
To free up some time, Li Hong specifically hired a cooking aunt from a housekeeping company. From now on, whenever Yuchen was at home, this aunt would prepare meals for him. As for picking up and dropping off Yuchen from school, that would be done personally by Li Hong.
If it were someone else, Li Hong wouldn't feel as at ease.
The cooking aunt arrived shortly after Li Hong and his daughter returned home. After tasting her cooking, Li Hong decided to keep her on.
With the Virtual Helmet about to launch, Li Hong couldn't spare more time to cook for Yuchen. Being able to pick up and drop off Yuchen on time was already the best he could do.
Hiring a cooking aunt wasn't a big deal for Li Hong. Even though he hadn't sold his fists yet and didn't have much cash on hand, he still had the basic necessities of life covered.
After saying goodbye to Yuchen and the cooking aunt, Li Hong drove to the company.
As for Sweet Potato, Li Hong no longer wanted to get involved. The directors were already in place; they just needed the funding from Penguin to kick off the filming project.
Rather than worrying about the situation over at Sweet Potato, Li Hong decided to check on the progress of Mark and his team's platform development.
The Virtual Helmet had been around for quite some time, and Mark's team had been working overtime on the platform development.
Now, it was uncertain what they had accomplished.
After tossing the car into the parking lot beneath Baisheng Building, Li Hong made his way up to the Thirteenth Floor.
Inside Fist Game, a group of designers was busy debugging the final issues in the program.
If they completed the debugging, it would essentially mean that the operating platform for the Virtual Helmet could be launched successfully.
As Li Hong entered, he found a group of designers joyfully singing and dancing in the server room.
"What’s going on? Is the platform finished?" Li Hong asked curiously as he caught hold of Mark, who was bouncing around excitedly.
"Boss?"
Seeing that it was Li Hong who had grabbed him, Mark could hardly contain his excitement. "Boss, we did it! The version 10 of the Virtual World Operating Platform is complete."
"Really? Let me see!" Li Hong was also thrilled; they had finally completed this task.
With the operating platform ready, their Virtual Helmet could enter mass production. Once production ramped up, everything else could be handled using this Virtual World Operating Platform.
After all, the helmet was merely a key to enter the virtual world; the content of that world could be updated entirely based on this operating platform.
Mark handed the helmet on the table to Li Hong. Under Mark's expectant gaze, Li Hong slowly put on the experimental helmet.
Once the helmet was on, Li Hong quickly pressed the activation button.
A swirling nebula appeared in the boundless darkness before him, spinning faster and faster. Within seconds, the nebula filled Li Hong's view.
As the nebula stopped rotating, bright planets emerged before Li Hong.
"Drawing, controlling System, sound, images..."
Each shining planet represented a specific function or component.
Sliding his hands through the galaxy, Li Hong quickly found what he was looking for.
"PUBG!"
"Hey, has PUBG been ported over?" Li Hong asked curiously as he took off the helmet.
The PUBG project had started relatively early, laying its groundwork when Goddess Alliance first launched. By now, PUBG was nearly ready for final adjustments.
However, just because it was completed on the P Platform did not mean it could be immediately ported into the virtual world.
This is a completely different platform. Li Hong had thought that the virtual world version of PUBG would take some time to develop. He didn't expect the porting work to be completed so quickly; it was indeed a pleasant surprise.
"Boss, the porting process has gone surprisingly smoothly. We didn't anticipate that the P Platform could seamlessly connect to the virtual world platform. As long as you connect the helmet to the internet with an Ethernet cable, the Virtual Helmet is almost indistinguishable from a computer," Mark said with a smile.
"I see. So after we sell the Virtual Helmet, will we need to provide users with an adapter cable to help them connect to the internet?" Li Hong asked thoughtfully.
After all, the Virtual Helmet was just an internet access point. Although its hardware could create a virtual world effect, the software content was still a product of the previous era.
This realization left Li Hong somewhat speechless.
So this is what the virtual world is like; it’s almost no different from an advanced computer.
But it didn’t matter; even if he felt a bit disappointed, this Virtual Platform was still remarkably perfect.

He wasn't alone; there were many robots accompanying him in the open space. A crashed airplane nearby caught his attention.
Li Hong tried to move his body and found that although it felt somewhat mechanical, he could still move his limbs smoothly.
The sensation in his fingers was the clearest, while the feeling in his feet wasn't as pronounced, but walking and moving were still no problem.
