However, listing the names does not mean that the copyrights are immediately secured. First, internal discussions must take place, and then the authors need to be informed.
Only after holding a tripartite meeting and agreeing on a price acceptable to everyone can the matter be considered complete.
But there was no rush; Li Hong did not intend to settle everything before leaving. After all, his main purpose for coming to Magic City was to sign a cooperation agreement with Yuewen Group. As for the copyrights, they could be discussed slowly.
The signing of the cooperation agreement went surprisingly smoothly for Li Hong. Almost within a few hours, all the processes were completed.
"Surprised, right? Actually, there's no need for that. This is just a rough cooperation agreement, representing that our two companies have officially started collaborating. Aside from that, this agreement holds no real significance," Wu Wenhui explained with a smile upon seeing Li Hong's puzzled expression.
Li Hong nodded, understanding why it was so simple.
This cooperation agreement was probably no different from a piece of scrap paper. Its binding force was likely negligible; it was essentially an agreement that could be torn up at any time.
Since Yuewen Group did not seem to value it much, Li Hong felt more at ease.
After completing the signing of the cooperation agreement, Li Hong politely declined Wu Wenhui's invitation and, along with Charlie and Loli, boarded a flight back to the capital under the cover of night.
At two in the morning, the three of them finally set foot on the land of the capital, dragging their weary bodies.
After bidding farewell to the yawning Charlie, Li Hong picked up the already sleeping Loli and quietly made his way to the shuttle bus outside the airport.
There were quite a few people disembarking at this hour, making it difficult to catch a taxi. Not wanting Loli to wait outside aimlessly, he decided to find the shuttle bus instead.
Fortunately, the shuttle bus was not crowded, and Li Hong easily found a seat.
Sitting down with the soundly sleeping Loli in his arms, Li Hong felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction wash over him.
He thought to himself: he finally had a home.
Even though the Loli was small in stature, she weighed quite a bit. Carrying her all the way, it would be a lie to say that Li Hong wasn't tired. However, he really enjoyed this feeling of exhaustion; to put it in trendy terms, "I’m happy, so why should you care?"
Holding the Loli felt like embracing the entire world.
The shuttle bus slowly pulled away from the airport, and more people boarded while Li Hong was lost in thought.
Li Hong was seated by the window in a two-person seat. Since he was holding the Loli, there was an empty seat beside him.
Soon enough, that empty seat was occupied by a stylish woman wearing sunglasses.
Next to her stood a middle-aged woman with a black scarf and a handbag in the aisle.
Looking at the Loli in Li Hong's arms, the woman curiously asked him, "Hey, your sister is really cute. But you shouldn't let her sleep like that; she might catch a cold. It's pretty chilly on this bus. I have a coat here; you can cover her with it."
Taking the coat from the woman, Li Hong smiled and said, "Thank you, but you're mistaken; she's not my sister, she's my daughter."
As Li Hong carefully draped the coat over Yuchen, he turned around to find everyone in the bus staring at him in shock.
Li Hong cursed inwardly, suddenly realizing why they were reacting this way.
He looked fairly young for his age, and Yuchen had developed well, appearing to be around eleven or twelve years old. With these two factors combined, it was no wonder so many people were looking at him in disbelief.
The woman who had offered the coat asked incredulously, "Brother, that's not a funny joke. That girl looks like she’s from your younger siblings' generation; how could she possibly be your daughter?"
The fashionable woman wearing sunglasses also stared at Li Hong blankly. She even glanced down at a certain part of Li Hong's body as if trying to verify the truth of his statement.
"Yeah, brother, if you don’t clarify this now, we won’t let you go. You’re not a human trafficker, are you?"
The commotion in the carriage erupted as everyone cast questioning glances at Li Hong.
The girl was sound asleep, cradled by a young man who didn’t seem much older than her. At first glance, it looked no different from those human trafficking situations.
Even the Fashionable Woman subtly distanced herself from Li Hong after hearing the crowd's remarks.
Li Hong, feeling helpless, adjusted Yuchen's position and pulled out a Household Register from her inner pocket. "You all are really bored. Look, this is my Household Register. If that's not enough, I also have my and my daughter's ID cards here."
An older woman was the first to take the Household Register. After flipping to Yuchen's page and then to Li Hong's, she sighed in relief. "Oh my, you scared me to death."
Once the Household Register had circulated around, others also relaxed.
"You really scared me, brother. I almost thought you were a trafficker."
"Exactly! I was ready to have the driver quietly report you to the police."
The Fashionable Woman glanced at the Household Register and turned her head in surprise. "Wow, you had a daughter at sixteen? You’re quite impressive."
According to the Household Register, Li Hong had just turned one year old this year, while Yuchen was five. It indeed indicated that she had given birth at sixteen, which wasn’t unusual for a girl.
After receiving the Household Register back from the woman, Li Hong put it away with a wry smile. "If I told you I’ve never been in a relationship, would you believe me?"
"Huh? Never been in a relationship?" The woman was taken aback, her delicate eyes behind her sunglasses wide with astonishment.
Pointing at the sleeping Yuchen, she curiously asked, "If you've never been in a relationship, then how did you have this daughter?"
"How would I know? She just fell from the sky."
"Li Hong," he replied irritably, "this is my daughter, not yours."
The woman twitched her lips and turned her head, muttering under her breath, "Quite protective, aren't we?"
After that, she ignored Li Hong completely.
The passengers in the carriage, seeing the misunderstanding cleared up, didn't say much more. At most, they expressed their surprise that Li Hong had a daughter at just sixteen.
Just then, Li Hong's phone suddenly rang.
He picked it up and was surprised to see that it was a call from Ma Ge, someone he had saved in his contacts. What could Ma Ge want at this time?
"Hello, this is Li Hong," he answered the call.
"Mr. Li, right? I apologize for disturbing your rest."
"It's fine; I just got off the plane and am still on the road. No rest for me," Li Hong replied with a smile.
He didn't notice that the fashionable woman beside him had quietly perked up her ears to listen in.
"You seem in a hurry; I thought you would stay in Magic City a bit longer."
"That wouldn't do. I have a ton of things to handle here."
"True enough; with the World Championship opening soon, you've got a lot on your plate."
Ma Ge sighed and then changed the subject. "The reason I'm calling is that I suddenly remembered to ask you something."
"What’s the problem?" Li Hong asked curiously.
"How about the Goddess Alliance integrating with our Penguin Account System?" Ma Ge suggested.
Li Hong pondered for a moment and then replied, "Sorry, Ma Ge, but I think that's impossible. Our Goddess Alliance is currently integrated with the World Server, and if we were to also integrate with the Penguin Account System, it would cause significant losses for our registered players. Players on the Overseas Server would find it very difficult to register accounts..."
"Don't think about that too much. We have hundreds of millions of users at Penguin. If we integrate with your Goddess Alliance, just think about how many players that could bring in!"
"…"
Li Hong fell silent instantly; this was something he hadn't considered before.
However, he couldn't make a decision on the spot, so he could only respond perfunctorily, "Alright, I'll think about it."
"Okay then, take your time to consider it. Just give me a call when you're ready. I won't disturb you any longer." With that, Ma Ge hung up the phone.
