"What the hell is this?"
Seeing Liu Shan leap onto the mechanical device, driving the so-called Unit One to chase after Ma Su, Li Hong was left in a daze.
How did this damn King of Glory get involved?
Liu Shan, why aren't you just being an emperor and instead messing around with these ridiculous things? Doesn’t your father have anything to say about it?
Well, having witnessed the Barbarian King and Ashe before, Li Hong had grown numb to such occurrences. Whatever comes, comes; he was too exhausted to complain.
Not to mention Li Hong's silent grumbling, Ma Su, who was being chased by Unit One, had a drastic change in expression. How could Liu Shan have something like this?
"Zhuge Liang's Wooden Ox and Flowing Horse!" Ma Su exclaimed in shock.
As Zhuge Liang's aide, how could he not know about the Wooden Ox and Flowing Horse? But wasn't that only supposed to be used as a transport tool? Why could it also be used as an attacking weapon?
Sitting high atop Unit One, Liu Shan sneered, "You’re too naive! The Chancellor sent me a secret letter long ago, warning me to be on guard against you. So when you first came to see me, I already knew you had ill intentions."
"Damn it, Zhuge Liang, may you die a miserable death!" Ma Su cursed angrily as he hurriedly ran toward the back garden.
Unit One came to a halt. Liu Shan pressed one of the buttons and coldly said, "Trying to escape? Did you ask my Unit One for permission?"
A mechanical claw shot out from Unit One like lightning, swiftly grabbing Ma Su as he attempted to flee. The claw retracted, pulling Ma Su back in front of Liu Shan.
Unit One's massive iron fist rose up, and with a look of terror on Ma Su's face, it came crashing down.
With a thud, Ma Su fainted unexpectedly.
The mechanical claw discarded Ma Su, and Liu Shan turned to Li Hong with a smile, saying, "It's your turn!"
Li Hong's mouth twitched; he hadn't expected Ma Su to go down so quickly. This guy really was at the level of a ranged fighter, even worse than a Super Soldier.
However, regarding Liu Shan's intention to continue his assault, Li Hong thought that this guy was still too young!
Young people, so naive!
Just as Liu Shan's mechanical claw was about to grab Li Hong, a large blade descended from above, forcefully cutting the mechanical claw in half.
"Your opponent is me, Taidamir!" The Barbarian King emerged from behind a rock formation, wielding the large blade with an air of confidence.
Liu Shan halted his control of the initial machine and frowned at the sight of the Barbarian King. "Weren't you supposed to be on the upper road... cough, cough, Southern Barbarians? What brings you here?"
"Mind your own business, Kid!" The Barbarian King shouted angrily and swung his large blade toward Liu Shan.
Knowing he was no match for the Barbarian King, Liu Shan activated the initial machine and turned to flee.
Unfortunately for him, he was up against the Barbarian King, who possessed mobility skills. With Liu Shan's initial machine having short legs and not being able to run fast, he quickly found himself cornered with nowhere to escape.
"What... what do you want?" Liu Shan stammered.
To be honest, Liu Shan was quite nervous. How could he not be? He had heard plenty about the Barbarian King. The new leader of the Southern Barbarians tribe had inherited the will of the previous Barbarian King and was highly skilled in combat. Just considering that large blade in the Barbarian King's hands made Liu Shan doubt whether he could withstand it. After all, no matter how powerful the initial machine was, it was still just a machine; facing off against the exceptionally formidable Barbarian King left him feeling utterly helpless.
The Barbarian King shot Liu Shan a glare and snapped, "Are you coming down on your own, or do I have to throw you down?"
"Hmph, don't get too cocky. Who loses and who wins is still up in the air!" Liu Shan replied stubbornly.
With that, he activated the ultimate move of the Unit One, the Great Whirlwind!
Unit One began to go berserk, transforming into a large, letter-shaped monster. Then, to the astonishment of those watching, this transformed Unit One started spinning in place.
The speed of the spin increased rapidly, and Unit One began to move while rotating. The direction of its movement was directly towards the position of the Barbarian King. As Unit One spun, it kicked up clouds of dust and sand. Unfortunately, the Barbarian King paid no attention to it.
Just as the iron fist of Unit One was about to strike the Barbarian King, a layer of blood-red mysterious energy began to spread across Barbarian King Tadamir's body. Soon, this crimson energy enveloped him completely. At that moment, Unit One's iron fist made contact with the Barbarian King.
However, hitting the Barbarian King had no effect whatsoever. The Barbarian King continued to look at Liu Shan with an unchanging smile. In fact, even holding his sword, he showed no interest in striking Liu Shan.
Seeing that Unit One's ultimate move was completely ineffective against the Barbarian King, Liu Shan burst into tears.
"I'm going to report you for cheating! Why does my Unit One have no effect on you? This is an ultra ultimate move—Great Whirlwind!" Liu Shan cried from atop Unit One like a three-year-old child.
The Barbarian King facepalmed and pulled Liu Shan down from Unit One before slapping him and scolding, "Are you stupid? We Barbarians have divine skills. With your silly Unit One, it's a miracle it even works at all!"
"Hmph, don't get too proud. I will definitely develop a more powerful mech to defeat you!" Liu Shan retorted defiantly.
"Sure thing, I'll be waiting! But for now, let's focus on business—hurry up and give the throne to my boss," the Barbarian King said sternly to Liu Shan.
Liu Shan stopped crying and pointed at the unconscious Ma Su on the ground. "You want me to give the throne to this useless person? No way! Don't dream about it! Even if I agree, my aunt won't!"
"Uh..."
After watching the lively scene for a while, Li Hong couldn't help but interject, "Taidamir, do you know him?"
"Of course I know him. He's Ashe's nephew; how could I not know? If you had come earlier to teach this kid a lesson, I wouldn't have been interested," Barbarian King Tadamir replied dismissively.
"What? Ashe's nephew? Are you joking?" Li Hong was struck dumb, as if hit by lightning.
Who is Ashe? The Frost Archer! How did this Frost Archer get tied up with the Old Liu Family?
"What do you want, Barbarian Dog?" Just then, a woman's voice came from outside the back garden.
Accompanied by the sound of footsteps, a stunning woman radiating an icy aura walked in.
"Ashe?" The Barbarian King exclaimed in shock.
"Aunt?" Liu Shan's face lit up with joy.
"Uh..." Li Hong was at a loss for words.
Before Ashe could speak, Taidamir pointed at her and said to Li Hong, "Boss, this is the Ashe I've been telling you about. She's Liu Shan's aunt, full name Annie Sid Liu Cuihua!"
"So he is your boss!"
Liu Shan looked at the bewildered Li Hong and muttered, "This guy doesn't seem strong at all; why should I give up the throne for him?"
Ashe glanced at Taidamir and coldly asked, "You barbarian, why are you here in my Chengdu instead of staying in your Southern Barbarians' territory? And what gives you the right to seize my nephew's throne?"
"Cuihua, let me explain—"
"Explain what? Take this first!" Ashe was too lazy to explain to Taidamir. She raised her bow and aimed an Ice Arrow directly at the Barbarian King.
The Ice Arrow sliced through the air with lightning speed, striking the Barbarian King. Upon impact, the tip of the arrow erupted in a burst of cold light, instantly covering the Barbarian King in frost.
The once lively Barbarian King Tadamir had transformed into a lifelike ice sculpture in the blink of an eye.
"Now it's your turn!" Ashe turned her bow towards Li Hong and said coldly.
