I took a deep breath and walked towards Cherry, who was in the corner. 0

“Cherry,” I called out. 0

In the corner, the woman slowly lifted her head. Her body trembled, but her eyes sparkled with fear and resentment. 0

Cherry looked at me, and suddenly, a surge of Ghostly Energy enveloped her. She lunged at me, a dagger in her hand, shouting, “I’m going to kill you! Kill you!” 0

I stepped back and quickly grabbed Cherry's wrist, wrenching the dagger from her grip. I shouted towards the door, “What are you waiting for? Tie her up!” 0

“Huh? Oh, okay.” A person rushed over to help me restrain Cherry. 0

At that moment, footsteps echoed from the entrance, and the door to the private room swung open. Three people walked in, one of whom was Jiang Dong. 0

The Jiang Dong before me now was vastly different from the one I had seen in prison. He exuded dominance, confidence, and a ruthless aura. 0

He stepped inside, glanced at the fat man’s pitiful state, frowned slightly, and commanded, “Close the door. No one is allowed in.” 0

Two subordinates blocked the entrance. 0

Jiang Dong snorted. “Get rid of this guest. We’ll say it was this fat man causing trouble outside the club. He tried to secretly strengthen Cherry and ended up getting killed by her. You all know the rules.” 0

“We understand,” replied his two subordinates. 0

Jiang Dong turned to me. “Li Hu, you’ve been a supervisor for a week now. Why does your team keep getting into trouble? Huh? Tell me! Can’t you be more careful?” 0

I swallowed hard. “Mr. Jiang… I mean, Boss, I think Cherry has a problem; it seems she’s possessed by a ghost. I want to investigate further.” 0

“Shut up!” Jiang Dong glared at me. “Li Hu, keep this matter under wraps! If anyone outside the club finds out, you can expect dire consequences!” 0

I could only nod in response. 0

Jiang Dong took the others and left. 0

I looked at Cherry, who had a ghostly expression, clearly not in her right mind. I couldn't ask her anything right now. 0

"First, tie him up, then find someone to clean this place up quickly," I instructed one of my subordinates. 0

That person had a mournful look on his face. "Brother Hu, I'm just a gopher; I can't call anyone." 0

"Then you clean it yourself! Make sure it's spotless!" I said before walking out. This wasn't the time to waste energy on this matter. I needed to find my way back or figure out what caused the fire at the club. I had to think of a way to return; if the Great Fire happened and I got burned alive, what would I do? 0

I walked toward the entrance of the club, where shards of glass were scattered everywhere—it was very unusual. I wanted to step outside, but I had a gut feeling that if I did, I would surely die! 0

A customer came down from upstairs. He paid and muttered about how expensive it was and that the girls' skills weren't good enough. As he grumbled, he walked toward the exit. When he reached the door, his figure suddenly transformed into a shattered glass-like illusion. 0

I quickly stepped back. If I turned into shattered glass, it would either mean my complete death or that I'd be transported back to reality. But I didn't dare take that gamble; after all, if returning were that easy, those two female staff members from the Ancient Style Teahouse wouldn't have disappeared so easily. 0

I took a few steps back. The space here was strange; once I stepped outside, I might immediately be torn apart by temporal turbulence. 0

I rubbed my head. First things first—I needed to think about how to avoid the impending Great Fire. 0

As I took a couple of steps, a woman approached me with a smile. "Brother Hu, why do you look so troubled today?" 0

I glanced at her. She wasn't particularly attractive but had long legs and wore revealing clothing. Her words and movements seemed practiced and were quite alluring. However, this was none of my business; as an outsider, I didn't care much for these women and cared even less now. 0

I nodded slightly and ignored her, heading toward the place where I'd just crossed over. 0

"Brother Hu~~~~" The woman called out sweetly in a flirtatious tone as she moved closer to me. "Brother Hu, the club hasn't opened yet today. When the Boss comes later, could you introduce me?" 0

I immediately nodded. "Sure, sure." 0

"Then it's settled! Brother Hu, make sure it's the Boss! If those losers come over, don't bother calling me; it's too much trouble to spend a whole night with them just to be touched without any payment—what a loss!" As she spoke, her hand reached toward my pants. 0

I pushed the woman aside and hurried away. It turned out my supervisor had quite a bit of power here, and the ladies were all trying to curry favor with me. But damn it, what were they thinking? I was here in real danger. 0

I walked to the place where I had crossed over, looking around but finding nothing unusual. I fished out a mirror from my pocket; yes, this was the only thing I had brought with me. My gun and Peach Wood Sword were gone. 0

How unfortunate. 0

I opened the mirror and looked at myself. I kept blinking and touching my nose, but the reflection still showed a stranger! 0

Damn it! 0

I started to panic. What if I really couldn't go back? 0

"What are you doing?" a sharp voice scolded. 0

I turned around to see an old woman glaring at me with anger. I glanced at her name tag; she was a manager, probably holding a higher position than mine. 0

"Li Hu! What's wrong with you today? You didn't bring your communicator to work! Do you know that there was an incident in the booth you're responsible for?" The old manager looked at me, then stepped forward and snatched the mirror from my hands. "Still admiring yourself? You’re someone I personally promoted. If you don’t work hard, I’ll send you back to being a waitress!" 0

I quickly nodded and grabbed her hand, grinning as I said, "Yes, yes, Manager! I'll go right away. This mirror was a gift from my lover; I can't lose it!" I snatched the mirror back and turned to run. 0

"Where do you think you're going?" the old woman called after me. 0

I stopped and replied, "Uh, I'm going to see what happened." 0

"That way, second floor! Room 201!" She pointed in another direction and then impatiently scolded, "Hurry up! Just looking at you is making me annoyed." 0

I muttered under my breath that it was only natural for her to be irritable at her age. I dashed toward the second floor as she directed, and soon reached Room 201. Sure enough, I could hear intense arguing coming from inside. 0

Jiang Dong was there too, repeatedly saying, "Sorry, sorry, sorry, I'll handle this..." It seemed his English was so poor that he could only manage that one word. 0

Jiang Dong pointed at one of the women and ordered, "Lock her in the Black Room for a night! Damn it, if you can't take care of my guests, I'm cutting your salary in half this month!" 0

“Boss, I don’t know what I did wrong. Really, I tried my best, sob sob…” a girl cried. 0

Then, two waiters grabbed the girl and started to take her downstairs. 0

I walked over and realized that the girl looked very familiar. 0

I paused for a moment, wondering why she seemed so recognizable. After thinking it through, I realized, oh no, this girl is Jiang Hui! 0

Jiang Hui was one of the employees rescued from Meiyuan Club! I had even gone to her hometown to look for her! However, after she was sent back home, she went mad and then disappeared! 0

I had received information and photos of Jiang Hui from Qin Hai, but I never expected to see the real person now. 0

I immediately approached her and said, “Wait a minute, what’s going on?” 0

Jiang Dong saw me and snorted, “Li Hu, do you not want to work anymore? Something this big happened in your private room, and you didn’t rush over immediately? You made me come here to apologize to the guests; are you looking for trouble?” 0

I quickly replied, “Um, Boss, I was handling something downstairs. So, what exactly happened?” I didn’t explain further; I needed to clarify the situation first. 0

Jiang Hui looked at me and exclaimed, “Brother Hu, I really didn’t do anything wrong! Three foreigners came to the private room tonight. They wanted to drink and sing with me. I did my best; look, my clothes are torn! I didn’t do anything wrong, but suddenly they all started yelling at me. I don’t know why!” 0

Jiang Dong stood aside with his hands behind his back and said, “Those three are VIP guests. Who cares what they yell about? If you did everything right, would they be angry? They all got platinum cards tonight!” 0

I wasn’t sure how much a platinum card cost, but I needed to get to the bottom of this first. 0

I walked toward the private room. 0

Inside the room, three Russians were chattering away in Russian, which of course I couldn’t understand. 0

Then one of the Russians stood up, took out his phone, pointed at Jiang Dong, and said, “lk!” He then dialed 110 on his phone. 0

Jiang Dong was startled when he saw this and quickly said, “Hey, don’t call the police, Buddy! You just spent five hundred thousand on a platinum card. If you call the police now, you’re ruining my business!” 0

I quickly responded in English, "Hey, you three, don’t call the police. What’s going on? Just tell me." 0

Upon hearing this, the Russian immediately replied in broken English, "Great! Finally, someone I can talk to. This lady here stole my wallet. I want it back, and you’re trying to take her away and protect her." 0

His English was indeed quite poor, with a lot of mispronunciations. However, my own English wasn’t much better. Although I was considered a top student, my spoken English was lacking. I had scored over five hundred points on the sixth-level exam, but it was mostly just written English; I struggled to speak fluently. Children from poor families often faced this issue. 0

Still, we could communicate. After all, English is relatively common in Russia. 0

I immediately said, "You’re misunderstanding. We’re not protecting her; we just didn’t understand what you meant. Please wait a moment; I will handle this matter properly. Please be patient, esteemed guests." 0

The Russian nodded. 0

I waved at Jiang Hui, signaling her to come over, and asked her if she had taken the Russian's wallet. 0
