About twenty minutes later, a taxi stopped outside, and the front door swung open.
Chi Xiang and Yang Gou Dan walked in. Yang Gou Dan was dressed in a robe and wore a long string of large prayer beads around his neck, while Chi Xiang carried two computer bags.
The master had arrived.
Ouyang Shan was the most excited; he jumped up and walked with me toward the entrance. Once we reached the door, Ouyang Shan looked around. The old Taoist glanced at Chi Xiang and then disdainfully turned away before looking at Yang Gou Dan, who made him even more dismissive. He turned around twice and asked me, "Song Fei, where's your master? Why hasn't he arrived yet?"
I was taken aback and pointed at Yang Gou Dan. "Isn't this him?"
Ouyang Shan looked at Yang Gou Dan, who was just over a meter tall, his face darkening. He turned to glare at me. "Song Fei, are you joking with me? This is the master who can poke the Ghost Bride with a finger? What the hell! Song Fei, are you trying to get me killed? I'm leaving." With that, Ouyang Shan began packing up his things, forgetting all about the food.
Yang Gou Dan stood with his hands behind his back, looking disdainful as he sighed. "In the eyes of the mundane world, there will be no day of enlightenment."
Ouyang Shan was taken aback for a moment, then turned to look at Yang Gou Dan. He rubbed his nose and said, "You... what did you just say?"
