“Stick… Peach Wood Stick…” I was almost fainting. I struggled to remind Liu Yiyi to grab the Peach Wood Stick on the ground. My eyes were locked onto the ghostly woman’s bleeding eyes. Suddenly, I froze. I realized that within those bloodied eyes, there was sadness rolling around. It wasn’t just hatred; there was also sorrow, and… love!
At that moment, Liu Yiyi finally understood. She grabbed the Peach Wood Stick from the ground and swung it towards the ghost's neck.
“Ahh!” The ghost let out a painful scream. With her other hand, she seized Liu Yiyi by the throat, then clutched both of us tightly, squeezing us together with her arms.
I turned pale, looking at Liu Yiyi.
Liu Yiyi struggled desperately, calling out Wei Qiang’s name, hoping he would come to save us.
But I knew that was impossible.
This naked ghost had done one good thing when I died; she ensured that Liu Yiyi and I would die together. Well, it seemed she wasn’t entirely evil after all.
Just when I was about to give up, I suddenly remembered that ghosts fear blood from the tip of the tongue because it is filled with yang energy.
With that thought in mind, I bit down hard on my tongue, spitting a mouthful of tongue blood at the ghost.
Honestly, biting my tongue hurt like hell; I almost passed out from the pain.
However, the effect was surprisingly good. As soon as I spat out the fresh blood, half of the ghost’s face rotted away with a sickening sound.
The ghost screamed in madness. With a flick of her wrist, Liu Yiyi and I were thrown into the air and landed simultaneously on the sofa. My head rolled onto Liu Yiyi’s thigh. Although it smelled nice, I really didn’t have the energy to think about anything else; my brain felt like it was suffocating from lack of oxygen.
Liu Yiyi quickly sat up and shook my head vigorously.
At that moment, the ghost seemed to have gone insane, howling wildly. Half of her head was rotting away; she looked like she wanted to vent her rage and kill someone.
I realized this was bad. If that ghost lunged at us again, I didn’t know if I would survive, but Liu Yiyi would definitely be doomed!
Thinking of this, I shouted loudly to attract the attention of the female ghost, then I ran towards the door where Wei Qiang was.
"Wei Qiang!" he yelled, "Don't come over! Get away, you bastard!"
I didn’t care about him; Wei Qiang had something the female ghost feared, and at that moment, he was my only shield.
I quickly dodged and hid behind Wei Qiang as the female ghost lunged at him.
Wei Qiang was so scared that he let out several loud farts, nearly losing control of himself. He closed his eyes and waved his arms frantically. When the female ghost brushed against his clothes, she was knocked back with a thud. However, it only pushed her away slightly; it didn’t harm her much. The ghost circled around Wei Qiang’s body and continued to chase me while I used him as a shield, dodging continuously.
Just then, the door burst open with a bang, and Chi Xiang rushed in wearing nothing but shorts. He shouted loudly, "Yiyi, don’t be afraid! Brother is here to save you!"
At that moment when the door opened, everyone inside froze, including the female ghost.
Seeing the door open, the female ghost let out an angry roar and lunged at Chi Xiang.
Chi Xiang was about to strike a cool pose to impress Liu Yiyi when he caught sight of the naked female ghost. He screamed, "What the hell!... Help!... What the hell!... A ghost!... What the hell!... What’s going on?... What the hell!... Help!" With that, Chi Xiang collapsed to the ground in shock.
The red-dressed female ghost lunged at Chi Xiang.
At this moment, Wei Qiang didn’t care about anything else; as soon as the door opened, he bolted outside and disappeared in an instant.
Seeing that Chi Xiang was in danger, I picked up a Peach Wood Stick and aimed for the back of the ghost. The ghost completely ignored me and kept her hands around Chi Xiang's neck.
I was furious. I took that Peach Wood Stick and jabbed it directly into her rear end. I couldn’t believe this ghost could withstand such pain.
"Roar..." The ghost released Chi Xiang and turned to lunge at me again, with half of the Peach Wood Stick still stuck in her backside.
I ran for my life.
At that moment, a brat came in through the door—it was Yang Gou Dan. Despite being less than one meter thirty tall, he gave me a glimmer of hope.
After entering the room, as soon as he saw the female ghost, Yang Gou Dan wasted no time. He bit his finger, drew a "卍" symbol on his palm, and then struck the female ghost with his hand.
With a loud bang, a burst of golden flames erupted from Yang Gou Dan's palm, instantly turning the female ghost black as she collapsed to the ground, her hair emitting green smoke, unable to rise again.
"What the hell!" I exclaimed, looking at the female ghost on the floor and then at Yang Gou Dan. I threw my arms around his neck and said, "You're amazing, Dog Egg! From now on, we should start a ghost-exorcising studio together. Once we make some money, I'll buy you Spicy Strips."
Yang Gou Dan pushed me away and closed the door with a serious expression. "This is just an ordinary Evil Spirit. With my Buddha-like body and wisdom, dealing with such ghosts is beneath my dignity. Anyway, I need to get back to my game now; you can handle this Evil Spirit."
Upon hearing Yang Gou Dan's words, I panicked. I had only exorcised a goat before; using that incantation on this Evil Spirit might bring it back to life!
"Don't go! Hurry up and send this Evil Spirit away; otherwise, I'll confiscate your computer when we get back," I threatened.
Hearing that I would take away his computer made Yang Gou Dan a bit scared. He waved his hand and said, "Alright, alright. I'll do my good deed; just wake Chi Xiang up first."
I walked over and pinched Chi Xiang's acupoint a few times until he woke up. He looked at me in terror and then at the female ghost on the ground. "Song Fei, Brother Fei, what the hell is going on? Am I dreaming?"
"Dreaming? Look over there; the goddess is right there," I pointed at Liu Yiyi.
Liu Yiyi walked over, nodded at Chi Xiang, then stood beside me and asked, "Song Fei, who is this monk? He's so impressive."
"Yeah, Dog Egg is quite impressive," I replied.
Chi Xiang suddenly stood up with a grin. "Liu Yiyi, this... this ghost is indeed a bit scary, but don't worry; I'm here—uh, we are here—so there's nothing to fear."
I rolled my eyes at Chi Xiang; he was just a fool who forgot everything in front of beautiful women. He wasn't even afraid of ghosts anymore.
Seeing us three standing together, Yang Gou Dan sighed and muttered to himself, "Beautiful women bring disaster; conflicts among brothers arise because of women... sigh."
Liu Yiyi and I couldn't help but laugh. I walked over and patted Yang Gou Dan's head. "Stop lamenting so much, Master of Restraint; quickly deal with this female ghost."
The female ghost was enveloped in black smoke as she slowly began to awaken. Upon seeing Yang Gou Dan, she crawled in terror towards the door.
“Grievance, are you not going to stop? Do I have to beat you until your soul flies away?” Yang Gou Dan shouted loudly.
The female ghost halted, her body slowly becoming ethereal, transforming into a wisp of mist before floating up into the air.
“Where's the female ghost? Did she get scared off?” Chi Xiang turned his head, looking around.
Liu Yiyi also looked at me with curiosity.
I pointed at the ghost in the air and said, “She's still here. What's the rush?”
Upon hearing this, Chi Xiang immediately shut his mouth, fearing that the ghost would latch onto him.
Yang Gou Dan turned to look at me, surprised to find that I could see the ghost as well. “Oh? You actually opened your eyes? That's impossible. Only one in ten thousand can open their eyes. Unless you're someone like me with a connection to the Buddha, how could someone like you with such a tainted body do it?”
I kicked Yang Gou Dan and said, “Hurry up and help the ghost move on.”
The ghost in the air shook her head vigorously upon hearing my words.
“Why? Don't you want to move on and be reborn?” I asked the ghost.
She nodded, her expression pitiful. In her current state, she didn't seem like an Evil Spirit but rather an ordinary soul without any harmful intent.
“You have unfinished business? Then why not speak it out. If it's reasonable, we will naturally comply. If not, you must be reborn and enter the cycle of reincarnation,” Yang Gou Dan said, resembling a wise master.
The ghost glanced around and then suddenly dove into Chi Xiang's body.
Chi Xiang was busy trying to please Liu Yiyi when he suddenly twisted his body, squinted his eyes, and became like a walking corpse, sticking out his tongue and grinning foolishly at me and Yang Gou Dan.
Liu Yiyi was startled and quickly stood beside me. This action gave me a sense of accomplishment; after all, I could tell that Liu Yiyi was beginning to rely on me from the bottom of her heart.
“I don’t want to leave. I’m not an Evil Spirit; I just want to kill that bastard Wei Qiang…” Chi Xiang’s mouth emitted a sharp voice, sounding almost feminine. It seemed that this female ghost couldn’t speak for herself and could only possess Chi Xiang to express her desires.
Next, the female ghost revealed her story, and I finally understood the whole situation.
The female ghost was named Wang Shao, a girl who came from a rural background. She was in her third year of college, studying art, and worked part-time as a model to pay for her tuition.
Six months ago, Wang Shao accepted a modeling job for an advertisement and went for a test shoot. The investor for the advertisement was Wei Qiang. Not only was Wei Qiang the investor, but he also acted as the photographer, taking pictures of Wang Shao. During their interactions, Wei Qiang launched a strong pursuit of her.
Wang Shao was not a casual girl; even though she quickly fell in love with Wei Qiang, she did not agree to sleep with him. It wasn't until one night after a gathering with Wei Qiang and his friends, where she drank a bit too much, that she was taken advantage of by him.
