I felt frustrated. I had come here to exorcise ghosts, but instead, I found myself watching the goddess and her boyfriend getting cozy. It was incredibly suffocating.
In the bedroom, Wei Qiang said softly, "Yiyi, I've encountered so many troubles today. Ugh, I'm exhausted. Being a man is so hard. Right now, all I want is to hold my beloved woman and get a good night's sleep. It's just too tough for me."
Liu Yiyi replied, "Okay, okay, Wei Qiang, but you need to go outside first. We can't do this right now. Wait until I change my clothes before we talk... Hurry up and get out! If your hands keep wandering, I'm going to get angry."
"Yiyi, we're boyfriend and girlfriend. We'll be getting married soon; why are you still so conservative?" Wei Qiang's voice was soft.
I stood at the door, listening to their conversation, feeling stifled and unsure whether to burst in.
Suddenly, Liu Yiyi screamed from inside the room, "Ah! Get out! Hurry up and get out!"
Hearing that, I could no longer hold back. I kicked open Liu Yiyi's bedroom door and rushed in.
Inside the bedroom, Liu Yiyi was wearing pajamas and struggling while Wei Qiang was taking off his pants.
I stepped forward and kicked Wei Qiang down from the bed.
Both Liu Yiyi and Wei Qiang were stunned. Then Wei Qiang shouted, "What the hell! Liu Yiyi, who is this guy? Who the hell is he?"
Liu Yiyi quickly explained, "Wei Qiang, this is my classmate. He came here to exorcise ghosts."
I looked at Wei Qiang and noticed a long-haired female ghost floating behind him. The ghost's face was pale—so pale it looked like it was made of flour. It was ghastly white.
A chill ran down my spine as I grabbed Liu Yiyi and pulled her toward the exit, shouting, "Get out quickly! There really is a female ghost!"
Liu Yiyi didn't even spare a glance at Wei Qiang and ran out with me.
My scalp tingled, and I suddenly realized that I was likely no match for this ghost!
Without the Taoist talismans, all I had was a Peach Wood Stick. It would be enough to deal with ordinary spirits, but if another Evil Spirit like Mei showed up, I would be in serious trouble.
Thinking of this, I held the Peach Wood Stick in one hand and pulled out my phone with the other, dialing Chi Xiang's number.
The call connected, and I could hear Chi Xiang still playing a game on the other end. I shouted quickly, "Chi Xiang, get Yang Gou Dan on the line!"
Chi Xiang replied impatiently, "What is it? I'll relay the message."
"Saint Garden District, Building 3, Room 201. Hurry up and bring Yang Gou Dan over! Damn it, if you don't make it here in five minutes, just wait for me to collect the body!" I yelled before hanging up.
Suddenly, a chilling laughter echoed from the bedroom, sending shivers down my spine. Wei Qiang rushed out with a pale face, and behind him floated a female ghost dressed only in red underwear!
Seeing her made me realize that I truly was outmatched!
This female ghost wore nothing but Red Underwear; her hair was frizzed out, and blood oozed from her bulging eyes. She was certainly no less terrifying than Mei, who was covered in eyes!
What was more critical was that Mei's Evil Spirit was controlled by someone else and couldn't fully unleash its combat power. However, this ghost in red underwear had her own vendetta.
I had initially thought she was just an ordinary haunting spirit or some prankster ghost, but it turned out she was a Vengeful Spirit filled with Resentment!
The ghost cackled ominously, and Liu Yiyi and Wei Qiang could hear her even though they couldn't see her. They could feel the chilling Resentment in the air.
"Don't kill me! Don't kill me!" Wei Qiang trembled as he ran to the sofa and collapsed onto it.
The Vengeful Spirit lunged fiercely at Wei Qiang.
I couldn't just stand by and watch, so I grabbed the Peach Wood Stick and rushed towards the sofa.
With a loud "whoosh," a flash of golden light erupted, and the woman in red was unexpectedly knocked back.
I was taken aback for a moment, then realized that Wei Qiang had something on him that could repel ghosts. It seemed he didn't need to worry about the ghost harming him at all.
However, it appeared that Wei Qiang was unaware of this; he was desperately trying to burrow into the sofa like an ostrich.
After being repelled by the golden light, the ghost's resentment only grew stronger. She turned her head and saw me, then lunged in my direction.
I was already on guard and swung the stick down onto the ghost's chest.
"Whoosh..." A cloud of black mist floated up from her body.
"Ah...!" A piercing scream erupted, cutting through my eardrums and sending a jolt of pain through my head.
"You will all die!" the ghost shrieked, waving her hand. The black mist dispersed, and at that moment, she seemed to take on a more solid form. Her hair swelled even more, and her abdomen revealed a dark mass. Blood streamed from her eyes, increasing in flow, and her body appeared to materialize!
"Ah!" Liu Yiyi screamed in the direction of the ghost; now she could see it too.
A chill ran down my spine as I realized I had made a grave mistake. My strike hadn't killed this Vengeful Spirit; instead, it had enraged her. Now that she had solidified, she seemed to have gone mad and lunged towards Liu Yiyi. She was only wearing a pair of red pants, and her chest appeared to swell unnaturally, making her look even more eerie.
What was I thinking? In such a dire situation, I was still noticing the detail about her chest swelling. Was this ghost's power somehow proportional to her breast size?
"Don't... cough cough cough..." Liu Yiyi cried out as the Vengeful Spirit tightened her grip around Liu Yiyi's neck. Soon, Liu Yiyi's face turned pale.
At that moment, knowing I stood no chance against her, I charged forward anyway. I raised the Peach Wood Stick and struck the ghost on the back of her head with all my might.
"Ahhh!" The female ghost let out a painful scream and released Liu Yiyi, lunging toward me.
I swung the Peach Wood Stick, aiming for her head, but she waved her sleeve and sent me flying. I landed heavily on the sofa, sitting squarely on Wei Qiang's face.
The female ghost charged at me again.
I hurriedly ran away.
She turned to grab Wei Qiang instead.
Wei Qiang was so scared he wet himself; he couldn't get up and crawled toward the door.
The ghost pounced on Wei Qiang. This time, a golden light flashed across him again, and the ghost let out a painful cry as she was thrown back once more.
After being pushed away, the ghost's resentment intensified as she lunged at me. Frustrated, I swung the Peach Wood Stick wildly at her like a madman.
At that moment, Wei Qiang had crawled to the door. In a panic, he tried to open it.
Seeing Wei Qiang attempting to escape, the ghost lunged at him again, screaming in anger. Suddenly, the door began to freeze with a loud crackling sound, and the doorknob was locked tight, unable to be opened.
Wei Qiang shook the doorknob desperately, crying in fear.
Realizing she couldn't deal with Wei Qiang, the ghost turned her attention back to Liu Yiyi. Liu Yiyi stepped back in terror. I rushed forward, picked up the Peach Wood Stick, and started fighting the ghost again.
While fighting, I shouted, "Liu Yiyi, I'm running out of time! Quickly call Chi Xiang again and ask where they are. If they don't come soon, we're all done for!"
With that, I tossed my phone to Liu Yiyi.
Liu Yiyi frantically flipped through my phone and, after dialing, switched to speaker mode.
Soon, Chi Xiang's voice came through, "Hello? What's going on? We're currently holding the high ground; the battle is intense. I'll call you back in a bit..."
I was furious upon hearing this. What the hell! This bastard was still playing games! Damn it, he hadn't even left the dorm!
Liu Yiyi was also anxious and quickly said, "Wait, don't hang up, Chi Xiang. It's me, Liu Yiyi. Don't hang up! Hurry and come save us; we're trapped by an Evil Spirit."
"A woman's voice..." Chi Xiang suddenly got excited on the other end. "You... you're Liu Yiyi... Ah, Yiyi, why are you using Song Fei's phone? It's so late; what are you all doing?"
"Chi Xiang, please hurry over; we’re going to die," Liu Yiyi nearly cried.
"Yiyi, don’t be scared; I’ll be there in a minute!" Chi Xiang shouted loudly.
What a guy who prioritizes women over friends!
I yelled out, "You're useless! Bring Yang Gou Dan to Saint Garden District, Building 3, Room 201."
Chi Xiang replied loudly, "Song Fei, don’t bully Liu Yiyi! I’m coming to protect her… Dog Egg, stop playing games and hurry up with me to pick up girls… No wait, to save people."
"Don’t! Chi Xiang, Buddha is about to get fully geared up; do you believe it could turn the tide in minutes?" Yang Gou Dan was still fixated on his game over the phone.
"Fully geared my ass! Women are the most important, games come second, and brothers third. Hurry up and come with me!" Chi Xiang's voice came through the phone.
"I really am about to get fully geared..."
The voices of the two faded from the call; clearly, this bastard Chi Xiang was so excited that he forgot to bring his phone.
I was crumbling inside; what the hell was this Buddy? I really wanted to strangle those two Bastard eggs.
The female ghost let out a loud "Aoo," and this time she didn't dodge my Peach Wood Stick. Instead, she took the hit and lunged at me, her hands gripping my neck.
My Peach Wood Stick pierced into the ghost's thigh, and a wisp of green smoke rose from the wound. However, the ghost paid no attention to it and continued to choke me with incredible strength. In that instant, I felt like my neck was about to snap.
Liu Yiyi saw me being choked by the ghost and screamed in fear, but she still ran over. She reached out to grab the ghost's hair. Honestly, at that moment, I felt quite touched. Although Liu Yiyi was trembling with fear, she still came to help.
Unfortunately, Liu Yiyi was too weak; despite pulling on the ghost's hair, she couldn't pry her off.
"Wei Qiang... Wei Qiang, come quickly and help Song Fei!" Liu Yiyi shouted loudly.
Wei Qiang completely ignored us, desperately twisting the doorknob in hopes of escaping.
