In a hotel with a somewhat eerie atmosphere, frequent ghost sightings had led to a significant decline in business. 0

Desperate, the hotel manager sought help and eventually found the self-proclaimed skeptic, Supernatural Detective Kwanxi, hoping he could uncover the truth. 0

The manager anxiously recounted the strange rumors to Kwanxi: "Some people say they've seen a woman in white, and there's also the sound of running water." 0

Kwanxi scoffed, firmly stating, "So there's a female ghost? Hmph, I don't believe in ghosts at all. Even if they exist, they're just in people's minds." 0

To prove his point, Kwanxi strode confidently to the haunted hotel. 0

The manager nervously led Brother Kwanxi to the most recently haunted room. Inside, Kwanxi examined every corner, crouching to look under the bed and gazing up at the ceiling. After a thorough inspection, he found nothing particularly unusual. 0

Next, the manager trembled as he brought out the latest guest records. 0

"The ones with signals are the guest lists," he said. 0

Brother Kwanxi took the records and focused intently on comparing them. Soon, he noticed that all the haunted rooms were located at the end of each floor—the hotel's last rooms. 0

Furrowing his brow, Brother Kwanxi muttered to himself, "But what puzzles me is that some guests stayed in these end rooms without encountering any strange occurrences." 0

After some contemplation, he realized these guests shared a common trait: their stay was less than a day. "Could it be that this ghost only targets those who stay longer?" 0

This revelation convinced Kwanxi that something was amiss, prompting him to delve deeper into the investigation. 0

First, Brother Kwanxi eagerly retrieved the hotel's overall design blueprint and leaned over the table, scrutinizing it intently. 0

Suddenly, he seemed to discover something. He jumped up and quickly walked down the corridor, inspecting each room's ventilation outlet one by one. 0

While other rooms showed no abnormalities, beneath the ventilation outlet of the last room lay a puddle of water. 0

Brother Kwanxi stroked his chin, deep in thought. "The haunting in the last room of the hotel is likely related to the ventilation system." 0

With a direction for his investigation, Brother Kwanxi hurried back to his room to delve deeper into the matter. Just then, the cleaning lady suddenly pushed the door open, startling Brother Kwanxi and making him jump. 0

Seeing that Brother Kwanxi was staying in the last room, the cleaning lady kindly reminded him, "Young man, this is the last room of the hotel. When you open the cabinet, you should knock three times first. Don't just open it casually; leave some areas in the dark. You shouldn't arrange your slippers so neatly; they might think they're for them. The last room on the first floor has something that wants to ascend, but this room might have something weighing it down, preventing it from going up. That's why it keeps trying to rise from below and then falls back down again; the whole process is very painful." 0

However, Brother Kwanxi dismissed the cleaning lady's words entirely, scoffing because he never believed in such scientifically unprovable claims. 0

After relentless effort day and night, Brother Kwanxi finally discovered the ultimate reason behind the haunting in the last room of the hotel. The next morning, filled with confidence, he revealed the truth about the haunting in front of the manager. 0

Holding a blue spray bottle, Brother Kwanxi skillfully sprayed it around the room. Soon, the ventilation system began to operate, purifying the spray while toxic gases were expelled into the second room for further purification. 0

In this manner, ultimately all toxic gases would be discharged in a way that could not be purified in the last room. 0

Brother Kwanxi explained passionately, "The reason this happens is that the hotel uses an outdated horizontal discharge design. Over time, the last room has become a storage area for toxic gases. 0

Guests who stay less than a day do not encounter strange occurrences because symptoms from exposure to toxic gases only manifest on the second day. 0

Guests who experienced strange events reported seeing a White-Clad Woman and hearing flowing water; these are hallucinations caused by inhaling large amounts of toxic gas. Why do some people feel paralyzed? 0

Sleep paralysis occurs during rapid eye movement sleep when the brain unexpectedly wakes up early and sends out signals that should have been sent before waking up. This causes signal confusion; the more one tries to move, the more one cannot. This is sleep paralysis syndrome. 0

Room 916 is filled with toxic gas and is very fragile, easily leading to sleep paralysis." 0

Brother Kwanxi spoke convincingly, and the manager believed him wholeheartedly. He quickly turned to fetch Brother Kwanxi's reward. 0

Just when Brother Kwanxi thought everything had been resolved, an unexpected event occurred. 0

After a long day of work that left him physically and mentally exhausted, Brother Kwanxi returned to his room and collapsed onto his bed for some much-needed rest. 0

But who would have thought that by nightfall, Brother Kwanxi suddenly felt droplets on his face. Groggily, he opened his eyes to find a White-Clad Woman glaring fiercely at him. 0

Brother Kwanxi was terrified and tried to get up, only to realize he couldn't move. Having been at the hotel for less than a day, encountering such a thing was clearly not what he had anticipated. At that moment, the woman began to descend slowly. 0

This scene reminded Brother Kwanxi of what that aunt had said. 0

"Going down from above, going down from above, going down from above." 0

Just then, Brother Kwanxi's body finally regained its normal function. He scrambled out of the room in a panic. 0

At the entrance, panting heavily, he ran into a staff member. Seeing Brother Kwanxi's frantic expression and drenched appearance, the staff member immediately understood that he must have encountered the White-Clad Woman as well. 0

Knowing that Brother Kwanxi was there to investigate paranormal events, the staff member lowered their voice and revealed a little-known secret. 0

"Not long ago, that White-Clad Woman committed suicide in the last room of the hotel, drowning herself in the bathtub. Ever since that incident, strange occurrences have been happening one after another in this hotel." 0

After hearing this, Brother Kwanxi found himself unable to determine whether or not ghosts existed in this world. 0

Once home, Brother Kwanxi intended to document the incident but struggled with how to conclude it. After racking his brain for ideas, he decided against writing anything and deleted everything he had previously written. 0

However, just as Brother Kwanxi stood up to go to bed, a terrifying scene unfolded—his computer began typing on its own! 0
