The morning in the Garden of Gardenias was quieter than that of the academy, yet it was mid-summer, and the occasional chirping of cicadas surpassed the sound of silk and bamboo, refreshing to the spirit.
Ye Yu sat cross-legged on the hill behind the Azure Bamboo Courtyard, gazing at the Potential Gene Medicine before him. Without hesitation, he injected it into his body.

“Brother Yu!” Long Ling'er’s voice was melodious, like a babbling brook in the mountains—refreshing and soothing to the soul.

Ye Yu turned to look in the direction of the voice and saw a man standing there. His hair was still somewhat long and appeared a bit messy, and he looked to be in his late twenties. However, there was a depth in his eyes that spoke of experience and hardship.
"Qin Guan, long time no see." The newcomer was none other than Star Wanderer Qin Guan, who still radiated a sunny disposition.
