"Open—" Ye Yu whispered fiercely, his arms suddenly bulging with strength! Then, a sound of metal scraping echoed as the door to the Control Room burst open!
At this critical moment, Ye Yu wasted no time. As soon as the door opened wide enough for a person to enter, he transformed into a blur and dashed inside!
Suddenly, at that instant, a chilling sensation spread throughout his body—a feeling Ye Yu had experienced many times before!
In the next moment, a fierce look flashed across Ye Yu's face, and he unleashed a silver object from his hand.
With a sharp "whoosh," it sounded as if something was vaporizing under high heat. It was a laser beam, as thick as a child's arm, shooting directly at him just as he entered the room. However, Ye Yu had already released his Mental Power, sacrificing the delicate phase wall in his hand to make direct contact with the laser beam, neutralizing its energy! Thanks to that brief moment of obstruction, Ye Yu reached the control panel.
At that moment, only three seconds remained. Ye Yu wished he had more hands! Just as he opened the door, an incredibly complex set of information flooded into his mind.
At this point, Ye Yu's hands moved like branches in a storm, frantically tapping on the mechanical keyboard. Simultaneously, a series of symbols rapidly appeared on the three-dimensional holographic display. These symbols shifted continuously as commands to disable security measures emerged one after another. This was a multi-layered protective password; even the most skilled individual would need at least ten seconds to fully crack it!
Fortunately, Ye Yu's reflexes were lightning-fast. Under the complete control of his Mental Power, there was not a single mistake! Although only three seconds had passed, it felt like an eternity to him!
Suddenly—"Ding!" A crisp sound rang out as a green symbol leaped into view before Ye Yu's eyes. Seeing the symbol filled him with joy; it meant his previous actions were correct!
"The first layer of the password has been disabled. Please disable the second layer!"
Before Ye Yu could catch his breath, a mechanical female voice suddenly echoed in his ears, sending shivers down his spine!
Three seconds had already passed, and yet the password was still not fully disabled—there was simply no time left!
"There's only seven seconds left. I've bought you seven seconds, so hurry up!" Just as Ye Yu was momentarily stunned, Jin Shan's voice rang in his ears once more.
Ye Yu, being someone with strong mental fortitude, immediately sprang into action the moment Jin Shan's words fell. His hands flew across the mechanical keyboard like a whirlwind. The previously rhythmic clicking sounds of the keys merged into a continuous stream, culminating in a prolonged "beep" without any pauses in between.
This time, Ye Yu's speed was slightly slower than before, but by the four-second mark, he finally cracked the last code.
"The Self-Destruct Sequence has been terminated. The System has been restored to its initial state. Please re-authenticate your identity!" A clear female voice followed, and a soft milky white light appeared on the control panel. In just a few blinks, it revealed a slender figure of a woman in her twenties, dressed in a tight leather suit—Sasha, the Virtual Image.
Caught off guard, Ye Yu nearly collided with her prominent features but quickly realized that she was merely an intelligent robot aboard this massive ship. Managing such a colossal vessel required complex operations, necessitating vast amounts of artificial intelligence to handle everything. These AIs ultimately converged into a single terminal: the intelligent robot.
Ye Yu glanced at her and felt a slight jolt; although she was just a Virtual Image, her exquisite face exuded an air of confidence that vaguely reminded him of someone he knew.
Shaking his head, Ye Yu asked, "Are you the ship's intelligent robot?"
Upon hearing Ye Yu's question, she crossed her arms at her waist and bowed slightly. "Respectful human, I am Sasha, the terminal intelligent steward of this spaceship!"
"What was that about re-authenticating your identity?" Although Ye Yu had learned quite a bit at Arrow Camp, he still lacked knowledge about such large starships that could determine the fate of nations. After all, even the Federation had very few of these vessels.
The Wavebreaker Legion had become a large pirate faction and had not been eradicated largely due to having massive ships like the Wanderer to ensure their survival in this starry expanse. Such ships functioned like floating cities, ensuring that those aboard would not face existential threats from the harsh Cosmic Environment.
"Respectful human, this spaceship had just activated its self-destruct mechanism, but you have successfully halted the self-destruction process. According to the ship's operational principles, whoever stops the self-destruction has the right to authenticate their identity and gain control over the ship. Therefore, you need to undergo an identity verification now." The intelligent terminal spoke calmly; however, Ye Yu felt waves of excitement within him upon hearing this. He understood the value of this spaceship—possessing it would mean something significant.
Looking at the female figure of the intelligent terminal who was smiling warmly at him made Ye Yu's heart flutter. This intelligent steward named Sasha was undoubtedly a pinnacle of human aesthetics; her smile was captivating and refreshing like a gentle spring breeze.
"Then... what certification materials do I need to provide?" Ye Yu asked, gathering his thoughts, a hint of impatience in his voice.
"It's very simple. You only need to provide your DNA data, along with your personal fingerprints, iris patterns, and voice waves! The latter three are just for verifying your usual permissions; only the DNA is the core authentication. Moreover, it can only be collected with your consent, so you don't have to worry about anyone else accessing your DNA data to change permissions!"
After hearing Sasha's words, Ye Yu nodded and provided his personal information as requested.
Moments later, Sasha respectfully approached Ye Yu and bowed at a thirty-degree angle, saying, "My master, Sasha is very pleased to serve you!"
