Nefel felt an overwhelming pressure closing in on him, completely erasing the sense of absolute control he once had in his own space. Now, he felt like a toddler who had just learned to walk, suddenly finding himself on a busy highway, where he could be crushed at any moment.
"Nefel, what should we do?" The gray-haired elder from the Ministry of National Defense also sensed something was wrong. Despite their combined strength, which could sweep across the entire African Continent, they were now unable to maintain control over themselves.
Suddenly, a strange energy began to ripple through the space, and a tall, slender figure appeared beside them. His tattered clothes hung loosely on him, creating a jarring contrast.
"Since you have surrendered to the Zombies, there is only one path left for you!" This person was none other than Lin Yi. As soon as he appeared, a chilling atmosphere enveloped the entire Alternate Dimension.
Previously, his control over the Alternate Dimension had been limited to simple spatial travel. Now, having significantly increased his power, he had become much more adept at manipulating space. He could skillfully control this realm and use Spatial Power to suppress the movements of others.
"Lin Yi, don't think you can do anything to us! The Nile River is not what it used to be; if you're not afraid, come and try!"
Nefel knew that he couldn't let their momentum falter. It wasn't just their combined strength that made them formidable; he also understood that those above would not stand idly by while the Nile Fortress fell. This place was a crucial transit point between Europe and Africa with significant strategic importance. If it were taken by the Resistance, it would pose a great threat to other regions as well.
"Really? Although I don't know what you're thinking, I do know that once infected with the Zombie Virus, there may be no turning back for you!" Lin Yi narrowed his eyes. These people held high positions of power yet willingly served the Zombies; he found it hard to comprehend.
"What do you know? The eternal kingdom established by our divine race is beyond someone like you!" Nefel's eyes revealed a hint of disdain. He had witnessed how those on the brink of death came back to life and how those who had stagnated in power broke through barriers to reach unprecedented heights.
All of this was based on facts. Even if immortality were a lie, the ability to overcome all diseases and enhance one's power through the Zombie Virus was enough to drive them mad. Moreover, they had not fully undergone Corpseification; they were essentially no different from living humans and were not particularly Bloodthirsty. They could even bear offspring! Under such conditions, how could they not swear loyalty until death?
"Me? Weren't you all once Zombies too?" Lin Yi looked at these individuals with a glimmer of pity in his eyes. He himself came from the Biological Research Institute. Although the Zombie Virus seemed capable of achieving many things beyond human technology, its side effects were far greater. The first batch of Zombies lacked humanity; despite evolving over time, they still relied on consuming vast amounts of flesh and blood for survival and could not reproduce!
Currently, it seemed that while Zombies appeared to have found a way to neutralize their condition by transforming more people into Half-Human, Half-Undead beings, the cost was that most people on this planet lost their freedom and could be devoured by Zombies at any moment!
Nefel looked at Lin Yi, struggling internally. Anyone who dared speak to him like that was either stronger than him or seeking death! Clearly, Lin Yi belonged to the former category.
At this stage in his life, with even a chance at immortality within reach, Nefel was naturally unwilling to die. However, he soon felt a surge of heat coursing through his mind as if blood was boiling within him!
“Lin Yi! You are unworthy!”
As the thought of killing Lin Yi crossed Nefel's mind, he shouted loudly, and in an instant, the seven of them moved almost simultaneously, surrounding Lin Yi completely!
Lin Yi was taken aback. This seemingly simple action by the seven individuals revealed to him that they moved as if they were a single entity! No matter how well-coordinated a group might be, there would always be slight differences. However, with Lin Yi's keen observation, he noticed that these seven acted as one, without the slightest discrepancy!
Suddenly, a rolling dark green aura erupted from the seven of them, enveloping them entirely! Lin Yi frowned. With a flick of his hand, a faintly visible blade appeared, exuding a chilling light.
In the next moment, Lin Yi's figure blurred and vanished from sight.
Almost simultaneously, at the spot where Nefel had been hovering, a ripple in space occurred, and a figure emerged! At that moment, a blade descended from the void directly towards the swirling black mist!
The blade's momentum was like a long rainbow piercing through the sun, creating a violent sonic boom as it struck straight into the heart of the black mist at lightning speed!
Lin Yi could sense that within this black mist lay Nefel's presence. He found it puzzling; with this strike, she would undoubtedly perish, yet she showed no intention of evading.
The speed of the blade surpassed even Lin Yi's thoughts. Just as his mind began to formulate a plan, the energy-formed blade had already descended!
It struck empty air! Almost at the same moment, Lin Yi realized that his thunderous strike had yielded no results! He had locked onto their energy long ago; there was no way it could have missed!
“Hahaha! I’ve got you! Although you are quite formidable, you should know that facing all seven of us together is not so easy!”
Nefel's voice echoed from within the seven streams of black mist as if each one were his clone.
At first, Lin Yi was stunned but quickly understood. These guys had merged into one entity; it was impossible to kill just one of them. The only way to defeat them was to strike them all down at once!
“Is that so? Just now was merely a test!”
Understanding the intricacies of the situation, Lin Yi showed no signs of holding back. As soon as his words fell, seven indistinct figures appeared behind Nefel and the others.
In the next moment, a chilling aura enveloped Nefel and his companions. In the blink of an eye, they were all frozen into Ice Sculptures!
With Lin Yi's power significantly enhanced, his freezing ability far surpassed what it once was. From a distance, these Ice Sculptures appeared as hard as diamonds!
But that was not enough. Just as Nefel and the others were encased in ice, cracks began to form all over the Ice Sculptures! At that moment, dark clouds suddenly surged above the massive Ice Sculpture, crackling with thunder and lightning!
With a loud bang, as the Ice Sculpture shattered, countless bolts of lightning shot down from the clouds like electric serpents, instantly enveloping the entire Ice Sculpture.
In an instant, Nefel and his companions found themselves trapped in a Thunder Sea. The lightning, which already had a restraining effect on the Zombie Virus, now thrived in this environment.
The lightning, as thick as a baby's arm, coiled around their bodies like snakes, producing a cacophony of crackling sounds.
Nefel felt a wave of pain and numbness wash over him; it was as if countless ants were gnawing at his flesh. Even his soul felt on the verge of destruction from this unbearable electric force. He felt utterly unable to control his energy!
At this moment, Lin Yi showed no mercy. As the Lightning Power struck down, he moved swiftly around them once more!
His entire form transformed into a golden hue, resembling a humanoid battle machine crafted from gold. In just a blink of an eye, he shattered the bodies of those still struggling in the Thunder Sea without giving them a chance to react!
Having lost control over their bodies, they had become mere scattered energies! At that moment, lightning flashed again within the dark clouds, and thousands of bolts surged toward these fragments!
Without hesitation, Lin Yi unleashed his Lightning Power, reducing all the remnants to charred remains. Then flames erupted in his hands, engulfing the scorched flesh completely!
The flesh and blood still seemed to possess life, desperately moving through the Fire Sea. However, this energy flame effortlessly annihilated the almost ownerless energy without breaking a sweat!
In an instant, even before a minute had passed, the originally imposing Nefel and his companions turned into nothingness, as if they had never existed at all.
Lin Yi let out a light sigh, then took a step forward, directly emerging from his Absolute Space. At that moment, the battle outside had not yet ceased!
Suddenly, Lin Yi sensed a strange wave of energy. In the blink of an eye, a thin bloodline shot away into the distance with lightning speed!
"Not good!"
Lin Yi immediately recognized the aura on the bloodline; it belonged to Nefel and his group!
A surging Psychic Power surged forth like crashing waves, wrapping around the seemingly weak bloodline with overwhelming force! Lin Yi had noticed that the target of the bloodline was none other than Ying Sa nearby! Given the peculiar nature of this bloodline, Ying Sa might not be able to handle it!
In an instant, Lin Yi's Psychic Power enveloped the bloodline. Under the pressure of Lin Yi's powerful Psychic Power, the bloodline seemed to sink into mud, unable to struggle free no matter how hard it tried!
Lin Yi felt a surge of joy in his heart. He quickly teleported over, wielding a Lightning Blade in his hand!
Suddenly, it was as if the bloodline had received some kind of power boost; it accelerated abruptly. However, this time its direction was not towards Ying Sa but towards Witerson II in another direction!
