The battlefield seemed to freeze for a moment, as no one had anticipated such a method of combat.
Suddenly, a violent explosion erupted from the body of the Dragon Whale that Lin Yi had just pierced through the skull. The four miniature missiles he had launched moments ago detonated within it. Though small in size, these missiles were designed with a powerful warhead.
In an instant, the dozens of meters long Dragon Whale was engulfed by a sea of fire. When the explosion finally subsided, the once-mighty creature lay in ruins, its flesh and blood scattered everywhere. The Bloodthirsty Corrupted Creatures, drawn by the scent of blood, disregarded their attacks and rushed back to feast on the rotting whale meat left behind.
With its life force extinguished, the Dragon Whale could no longer control its body and sank rapidly to the riverbed.
Another Dragon Whale let out a mournful wail upon witnessing its companion's demise.
Lin Yi swiftly moved to Li Qiweng's side. Although they had fought valiantly against the Dragon Whale together, they were unable to withstand the immense power of its water column and the devastating force of its massive tail. Despite inflicting some damage, it was nearly ineffective against such a colossal beast.
"Find a way to block this wave of Dragon Whale's water column!" Lin Yi commanded, unleashing a brilliant Blade Qi that carved a terrifying gash into the creature's body, spraying dark, foul liquid everywhere.
"Sean, give me your miniature missiles; I'm going in!" Lin Yi decided to end this quickly. The situation here was manageable, but distant screams indicated that the City Defense Force was caught off guard by a sudden ambush.
"Captain, let me handle this!" Sean chuckled. He thought it was ridiculous for everything to fall on Lin Yi’s shoulders. What were they there for if not to assist?
Understanding Sean's capabilities, Lin Yi accepted without hesitation. Blade Qi surged forth, slashing at the Dragon Whale's body! While the creature stirred up massive waves on the water's surface, it was helpless against Lin Yi's swift Blade Qi; it could evade cannon fire but not his elusive strikes.
Strangely enough, no matter how much Lin Yi attacked, the Dragon Whale did not unleash another water column. It seemed to have anticipated Lin Yi's intentions.
The three exchanged glances filled with helplessness. Despite Lin Yi's relentless use of Blade Qi, he felt his strength waning. Li Qiweng and Sean were formidable fighters individually, but facing such a behemoth alone would likely exhaust them to death even if they managed to defeat it.
"Sir, I have an idea!" Suddenly, a voice whispered in Lin Yi's ear.
Lin Yi felt a surge of hope and quickly asked, "What should we do?"
"You see the water outlet on its back? If we enlarge it with a knife, wouldn't that allow the Missile to pass through?" As Black spoke, Lin Yi felt an unsettling coldness. It seemed that under Charlie's modifications, Black was becoming increasingly similar to a human.
"Wen, let's work together to open up that water outlet on the Dragon Whale's back!" Lin Yi commanded as he maneuvered Silver Soul into the air. This time, to ensure precision and power in his attack, he planned to use only the Silver Soul Battle Blade.
Li Qiweng's Dragon's Roar Silver Soul Battle Blade also floated in the air, as she had already grasped Lin Yi's intention.
"Go!" The two shouted in unison, and the two Silver Soul Battle Blades whizzed past. Then, a strange scene unfolded; the two blades intertwined like vines. However, upon closer inspection, it was clear that they were still several centimeters apart.
In the blink of an eye, the entwined Silver Soul Battle Blades reached the water outlet on the Dragon Whale's back! In the next moment, the blades began to spin rapidly, and with a "swish," they burrowed into the Dragon Whale's body!
"Roar!" Caught off guard, the Dragon Whale was struck by the two Silver Soul Battle Blades and retaliated in fury by shooting a jet of water directly at Lin Yi!
Lin Yi, who had placed his Psychic Power on Silver Soul, did not expect the Dragon Whale to choose him as its target. He found himself unable to dodge in time!
In the next instant, a powerful jet of water surged toward him like a tsunami. Lin Yi gathered all his strength, preparing to withstand this blow.
Suddenly, a shadow flashed before Lin Yi's eyes. His entire body was pulled back about a meter just in time to narrowly escape the fierce water attack.
"Yi! That's enough!" Li Qiweng said, beads of sweat forming at her temples. It seemed that coordinating with Lin Yi for such precise strikes was no easy task.
"Up!" Lin Yi shouted as a sharp blade swiftly returned to his hand, followed closely by Li Qiweng's Dragon's Roar Silver Soul Battle Blade.
In the next moment, four miniature Missiles attached to Li Qiweng shot off along the trajectory of the recently used Silver Soul Battle Blade!
The Dragon Whale suddenly shook violently, but how could it easily shake off the precisely guided Missiles? Moreover, thirty meters was merely a blink of an eye for them. With several "puffs," the Missiles drilled into the Dragon Whale's body one after another.
"Retreat!" Lin Yi pulled Li Qiweng back as they both rapidly retreated a hundred meters, with Sean following closely behind!
A deafening roar erupted as the entire body of the Dragon Whale trembled violently from the explosions. When the second explosion sounded, flames burst forth from its body.
After the four missiles exploded, all that remained of the Dragon Whale was a pile of dark bones, which ultimately sank to the riverbed, following the previous Dragon Whale.
"Wen, you should rest for a bit!" Having just used Psychic Power alongside Lin Yi, Li Qiweng had nearly exhausted her own Psychic Power to match Lin Yi's speed. At that moment, her delicate face was pale, and she looked as if she might collapse at any moment.
Li Qiweng moved her pale lips slightly and eventually nodded. Lin Yi directly carried Li Qiweng to the innermost room of the military camp.
When Lin Yi reappeared on the battlefield, the situation had completely turned in favor of the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps. The Giant Squid, under the combined assault of everyone, was left with only two tentacles, both of which were its strongest.
In an instant, Lin Yi flashed and arrived beside the Giant Squid. The enormous creature sensed a powerful aura approaching and immediately shot out one of its tentacles.
At that moment, Lin Yi's arm suddenly swelled several times in size. With a loud "crack," he managed to grab hold of the tentacle!
The Giant Squid did not expect anyone to challenge it in strength. Without hesitation, it swung another tentacle at Lin Yi with full force.
"Taishan! Come help!" Lin Yi shouted, realizing he wasn't confident enough to compete in strength with such a massive ocean creature.
Lin Yi held onto the tentacle, but his stance became unstable as he risked being thrown by the Giant Squid. Just then, Taishan arrived and firmly grasped the other tentacle!
"Fire Dragon! Set it ablaze!" With both remaining tentacles under control, the Giant Squid was now at their mercy.
Suddenly, the Fire Dragon's body surged with flames. In an instant, it leaped onto the Giant Squid's body and ignited it.
The flames quickly spread, engulfing the entire body of the Giant Squid in mere moments. This was due to the unique fire source on the Fire Dragon; once it touched an object, it would continue burning until everything was consumed!
"Go!" The now thrashing Giant Squid possessed immense strength. Lin Yi did not dare to be careless and directly controlled Silver Soul to sever the last two tentacles of the Giant Squid!
The Giant Squid rolled like a massive ball on the river surface, but no matter how it struggled, it could not extinguish the raging fire on its body.
Devoid of combat capability, the Giant Squid became like a sheep waiting for slaughter! To hasten its demise, automated weapons locked onto it as the Heavy Machine Gun unleashed a furious barrage of large-caliber dum-dum bullets. However, the real trouble came from the Oceanic Undead. They were heavily armored and moved swiftly, almost breaching the military camp's defenses and entering the residential area behind it.
Fortunately, Lulu's dark energy was continuously being released, effectively blocking those Corrupted Creatures. Strangely enough, it seemed as though Lulu's dark energy would never run out, allowing her to keep unleashing it without pause.
On the other hand, as they continued to cast their spells, both the Sea God Technique and Renesmee's Frozen Domain caused their faces to grow increasingly pale.
"Can you still cast a large-scale Ability one more time?" Lin Yi asked, fearing that delaying any longer would increase the danger.
"I can still use my Divine Technique, but the kill radius might not be very large!" Sea replied first.
"I’m fine. Given the unique conditions here, I can freeze all the Water Surface within a five-kilometer radius and immobilize those Zombie Beasts!" Renesmee nodded, her hair fluttering in the wind.
"Then let’s get started. We’ll cover you from these guys!" Lin Yi immediately began to arrange things, clearing away all threats around the two while others helped fend off the Zombie Beasts' attacks.
The Sea God Technique was being executed with increasing speed; in the blink of an eye, a massive sphere of light appeared in her hands. Then, with a soft command from her, a holy radiance began to expand rapidly, resembling a gigantic white mushroom cloud.
Soon after, the mushroom cloud began to descend rapidly, and those Zombie Beasts transformed into wisps of black gas at a terrifying speed.
