The "Silver Soul" whizzed past the wall, leaving behind a hissing sound as it carved two trails of dust into the solid surface. In its wake, the blade sliced through the flaming Undead Creatures, cleaving them in half. 0

Members of the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps followed suit, firing their Laser Guns. However, even with perfect accuracy, their rapid-fire could not stem the tide of Undead Creatures surging forward. Others in different directions attempted to assist but found themselves overwhelmed; their own defensive pressures were immense. 0

"Quick! Go check if the Diviners have recovered!" A shout rang out from the crowd. Though the voice was not loud, Lin Yi's keen hearing caught the message. 0

Diviners? Thoughts raced through Lin Yi's mind. Could there really be divine powers in this world? If the abilities of Ability Users could be seen as a form of divine manifestation, then perhaps there was truth to such powers existing here. But what exactly were Diviners, and what abilities did they possess? 0

While Lin Yi pondered, a nimble figure dashed toward him. Although he wanted to stop this person for answers, he suppressed his impulse, knowing the situation was dire. 0

Lin Yi focused on multiple tasks at once: controlling two Silver Souls to swiftly slash through enemies while using his Laser Gun to shoot at the emerging Corpseification helmeted creatures. His flying knife attacks had a far greater area of effect than standard bullets; nearly half of those crawling at the front were taken down by Lin Yi's Silver Souls. 0

Many began to notice the new face among them, particularly impressed by one who wielded two flying knives with terrifying speed against the advancing Undead Creatures. They assumed he was reinforcements sent from command and were not surprised by Lin Yi's unusual methods, having seen many Ability Users before. 0

Despite everyone's determination, they still lacked sufficient firepower. The mass of oceanic creatures seemed like demons emerging from an endless hell—impossible to eradicate completely. 0

"When will the Diviners arrive? We can't hold on much longer!" Lin Yi saw that a breach had formed in the city wall's defenses; dozens of Corpseification helmeted creatures had broken through layers of defense and were now less than ten meters from the wall! 0

The situation was critical; if the Corpseification helmets breached their defenses, it would deal a devastating blow to morale! 0

"Go!" Lin Yi commanded as he propelled his Silver Soul forward at an incredible speed, creating a sonic boom that tore through the air. The Silver Soul shot forth like a fine line! 0

With successive explosive sounds, those Corpseification helmets near the wall were shattered by the incoming Silver Soul. 0

In an instant, several of those approaching helmets were obliterated! 0

But that was merely the beginning. After unleashing all his psychic energy in that one strike, Lin Yi found himself lacking enough Psychic Power to control the Silver Soul effectively. Due to inertia, it had already flown far away, and he couldn't redirect it in time! 0

At that moment, those unaffected Corpseification helmets charged recklessly toward the wall! In such close quarters and short distances, almost no one could instantly eliminate those rushing monsters. 0

The situation had become extremely urgent. Once a breach appeared in the defenses, the line would crumble like a dam eroded by ants, and destruction could descend at any moment! 0

"Ah!" A voice filled with endless unwillingness and anger rang out. One soldier, closest to the dozen or so Corpseification "Helmets," suddenly leaped forward, directly charging at the undead creatures attempting to climb up. Lin Yi's heart was jolted; he could clearly see the soldier spreading his arms wide, trying to maximize his surface area to push those Undead Creatures back down. 0

"Bang!" A sound of impact echoed, as the soldier made intimate contact with the climbing Undead Creatures. 0

In the next moment, under the force of gravity, both the soldier and dozens of Undead Creatures fell together! 0

The battlefield fell into a momentary silence, but it was only for an instant. Perhaps it was just Lin Yi's illusion; the sounds of battle resumed, and no one could stop this struggle for life and death from continuing. 0

"Boom!" A loud explosion erupted as the soldier who had just jumped from the wall detonated. The surrounding sea creatures that had gathered to feast on flesh were instantly overturned by the massive shockwave, while the Undead Creatures at the center were reduced to a pile of shattered innards and mangled flesh. 0

Lin Yi's heart twitched; he knew he might not have the courage to die, let alone embrace a bomb and perish alongside his enemies. 0

The soldier's death did not bring much negative impact to everyone; instead, it encouraged these passionate individuals to resist those terrifying monsters even more fiercely. 0

Thanks to that soldier's reckless leap, Lin Yi gained a few precious moments. 0

After dozens of Corpseification "Helmets" fell down, the ones behind them continued their relentless advance! 0

Silver Soul returned; Lin Yi cautiously controlled his twin blades to prevent them from slipping out of control again. 0

Unfortunately, the soldier's sacrifice only bought them a few seconds of defensive time, which was still insufficient. The rushing "Helmets" were already close to the wall—hundreds, perhaps even thousands of sea creatures crawled within less than a meter of the soldiers! 0

They could even clearly see the wriggling microorganisms on these sea creatures and hear the friction between the Helmets and the wall! 0

Some people had no time to shoot; they drew their blades and desperately slashed at those sea creatures! 0

But even with all their strength, a few dozen soldiers could only face the Corpseification "helmets" in a limited area. 0

"Get lost!" One soldier suddenly smashed an Undead Creature down! 0

"Help me!" In the next moment, another soldier was caught off guard as an Undead Creature bit down hard on his arm, and no matter how he swung, he couldn't shake it off! 0

"Swish!" A sound of metal clashing with flesh echoed as the soldier felt a flash of cold light before the Corpseification sea creature vanished. But in the next instant, he realized that part of his arm was gone, the severed end smooth and clean, yet the intense pain surged into his mind. 0

The soldier gripped the stump of his arm tightly, biting down on his lower lip to suppress his cries. Nearby, a person in white rushed over with a medical kit, quickly tending to the soldier's wound. 0

Lin Yi silently bowed to the soldier. In that urgent moment, he had taken it upon himself to sever the infected arm. 0

“Diviner! Diviner! They’re here!” Suddenly, excited shouts erupted behind Lin Yi. He turned to see four individuals in white robes slowly approaching. 0

The three men and one woman who made up the Diviner team looked quite young; even the leader appeared to be just over thirty. However, all four had a sickly pallor and seemed unsteady on their feet. 0

With the arrival of the Diviner, everyone seemed to be injected with enthusiasm, watching as the Diviner moved slowly while desperately firing their weapons. 0

“In the name of the Lord, be purified!” The expressions of the four in white suddenly turned serious, emanating a sacred aura. Of course, this ethereal feeling was just Lin Yi’s personal impression; he felt a strange warmth from these four individuals. 0

In the next moment, a bizarre scene unfolded. The walls covered with Corpseification "helmet" creatures suddenly lit up with a milky white glow. This light was not blinding at all; instead, it exuded a warm sensation. With his keen eyesight, Lin Yi noticed that within this massive milky light were numerous golden threads weaving through it. 0

“Boom! Boom! Boom!” Just as Lin Yi was lost in thought, explosions erupted from within the light. However, these sounds were soft, reminiscent of wood cracking in an ancient fireplace. 0

Black objects exploded out from within the light like dark lotus flowers blooming. Soon, more and more explosions rang out; within the milky light, black lotuses multiplied rapidly, hinting at an overwhelming presence beyond the glow. 0

All those Corpseification sea creatures that had climbed onto the walls were now trapped within this milky light. Instinctively, Lin Yi took a few steps toward the light; waves of intense heat washed over him. He couldn't help but frown; although he could tell that this milky light contained incredible power, many people stood around it without issue. Yet as he approached closer, he felt an unbearable burning sensation. 0

The sound of explosions grew increasingly intense, resembling the relentless fire of heavy machinery. However, everything has an end. Just as the entire milky-white light sphere was about to be engulfed by a black lotus, the explosions finally ceased. 0

In the next moment, the milky-white light vanished, leaving behind a swirling mass of pitch-black lotus-like mist that floated from the top of the wall to its base. 0

"Quick, help the Diviners down to rest!" At that instant, someone shouted loudly. 0

Lin Yi turned towards the voice and noticed that the faces of the four Diviners were even paler than before, looking almost inhuman. Following that shout, seven or eight people quickly surrounded the Diviners and helped them toward the exit. 0

A loud "whirring" sound filled the air as a massive blower began to operate at the top of the wall. The floating black mist was swiftly blown away from the city wall. This black mist was the residue left behind after purifying those Undead Creatures, and no one knew if it still contained Zombie Virus. 0

At the moment when the black mist dissipated, several bold soldiers prepared to approach and assess the situation. 0

Suddenly, from a blind spot on the wall, several Corpseification creatures leaped out and lunged at those soldiers! Caught off guard, a few soldiers were stunned by the sudden appearance of these Corrupted Creatures! 0

At that moment, a milky-white beam of light shot up instantly, enveloping those Corrupted Creatures! 0

With a long "hiss," those Corrupted Creatures transformed into scattered black mist, which was quickly blown away by the still-operating blower. 0

Lin Yi's heart skipped a beat as a familiar figure appeared in his line of sight. The girl bore an expression of solemnity similar to that of the four Diviners just moments ago. 0
