The black fuselage reflected a chilling light in the darkness, a cold and piercing glow that seemed to exude an air of ruthlessness, as if it aimed to eradicate all the filth around it. However, the range of this cold light was limited, and often it found itself powerless. 0

Minutes after taking off, the helicopter carrying Lin Yi and the others flew to the outskirts of the defense zone, where they were already in Zombie territory. They had to constantly guard against Zombies rising from the ground while also being vigilant about Undead Birds flying overhead. Fortunately, there weren't many Undead Birds; generally, even if they couldn't fight them off, they could escape. The defense circle primarily used flamethrowers and electric nets to deal with the Undead Birds that might launch surprise attacks at any moment. Thanks to tight surveillance, Undead Birds could be detected from ten kilometers away, preventing them from ambushing the defense circle. While it appeared safe inside the defense circle, this safety was built upon the sacrifices of countless individuals. 0

"Suspicious vehicle detected ahead!" The pilot suddenly shouted into the intercom. 0

Without needing to guess, Lin Yi and his companions already knew whose vehicle had been spotted. Aside from the Thousand-Faced Fox Benito, no one else would dare venture into Zombie-occupied territory at this time. Lin Yi even faintly heard the roars of Zombies below; however, when he leaned out to look down, he saw nothing beyond the range illuminated by the helicopter's headlights. 0

"Attention! A group of Undead Birds is approaching! Seal the Cargo Door! Prepare for fire!" Will's cold voice echoed through the cabin. As the leader of this capture operation, Will was aboard the first helicopter. The other two helicopters were occupied by the Blood Envoy and Round Table Knight mercenary groups; they were merely Will's support units and had to follow his orders. 0

The Cargo Door instantly sealed upon receiving Will's command. Lin Yi and the others once again witnessed a swarm of Undead Birds charging toward them recklessly. The massive fuselage buzzed under their relentless impacts, making everyone feel as if they were trapped inside a giant bell with someone desperately pounding on its surface from outside. 0

The black liquid sprayed by the Undead Birds quickly spread across the fuselage, threatening to obscure their view entirely. At that moment, a series of metallic clanking sounds came from both sides of the cockpit as two metal tubes, each as thick as a human arm, emerged. 0

"Boom boom..." Two fierce tongues of flame erupted without warning. Under this sudden assault from fire dragons, more than a dozen Undead Birds were instantly ignited. The burning Undead Birds barely flew a few steps before plummeting down, ultimately reduced to piles of charred ash. But this was not over; after suffering fire damage, the first wave of Undead Birds quickly altered their flight path and began flanking the helicopter from both sides. 0

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh..." The helicopter that had been flying straight suddenly veered off course. Many of those Undead Birds attempting to evade the flames were still ignited and turned to ash by flamethrowers. Lin Yi and his companions in the cabin were momentarily caught off guard by this violent maneuver, thrown into disarray. Fortunately, these individuals had all experienced numerous bloody battles and quickly regained their composure. 0

"Hey buddy, could you give us a heads-up next time you pull off such a risky move?" Tony complained while rubbing his head; his old injury hadn't fully healed yet and now he had been jostled again. 0

Unexpectedly, his words went ignored as Will remained focused solely on spinning the helicopter to eliminate those reckless Undead Birds. A minute later, nearly all of them had been incinerated, leaving only a few that posed no threat to their flight. 0

Due to the interference from Undead Birds, Will and his team lost sight of their target—Benito—just as they were about to catch up. They had seen flames erupting from the rear of a Big Truck during the Undead Bird attack and guessed it was using rocket boosters. Now, just two minutes later, that Big Truck had vanished without a trace; their speculation was undoubtedly correct. After a brief contemplation, Will immediately contacted headquarters to request satellite tracking. 0

The command center operated twenty-four hours a day; as soon as Will's request was sent out, they began activating satellite services without delay. Within less than a minute, they received feedback. 0

"Forty kilometers ahead! Full speed pursuit!" Will issued his command with a serious expression. Instantly, the helicopter that had been cruising began accelerating. In just a few blinks of an eye, it reached an alarming speed; Lin Yi felt himself being pushed back in his seat as the helicopter roared forward with thunderous noise. 0

This was a deadly chase; no one dared let their guard down for even a moment. The pilot wore an expressionless face as he concentrated all his energy on flying the helicopter, fearing even a slight mistake could lead to disaster. 0

The three helicopters thundered through the desolate Zombie-occupied area where no living creatures existed—only an endless aura of death surrounded them. After about thirty minutes of monotonous pursuit, they finally spotted their target ahead. Had it not been for several encounters with Undead Birds along the way, this chase might have ended much sooner. However, everyone aboard marveled at Benito's formidable strength; armed intercepts along their route seemed ineffective against him as he barreled through any vehicles attempting to block his path with sheer force. 0

"Quick, stop them!" Will realized that the helicopter had reached the edge of the English Channel, and he had heard tales of the terrifying Undead Creatures lurking in the sea, so he dared not take any risks. 0

As soon as Will's words fell, the "Hellfire" missiles carried by the helicopter whizzed through the air. Three helicopters simultaneously launched six missiles, leaving no room for the enemy to escape. 0

"Boom!" 0

"Boom!" 0

The deafening explosions echoed across the land, and massive flames erupted from the ground. The Big Truck, which had been racing like a wild horse just moments ago, was completely engulfed in a sea of fire. No matter how advanced or indestructible that Big Truck was, it would now be reduced to a charred wreck by the raging flames. 0

"Roar..." A furious roar suddenly emanated from the center of the flames, as if some ancient giant beast was about to descend upon the world. 0

"Prepare the machine guns!" Having dealt with Zombies for several months, Will knew all too well what that continuous roar signified, and he was almost instantly ready for battle. 0

As soon as Will finished speaking, one Flame Monster after another emerged from the Fire Sea! They ran aimlessly in all directions, igniting the already collapsed buildings in an instant. The flames spread rapidly, casting a blood-red reflection on the Water Screen of the nearby Eastern African Coast. 0

"Tap tap tap!" 0

"Tap tap tap!" 0

The helicopter's machine guns fired rapidly; they needed to eliminate these Giant Zombies immediately. If left unchecked, their rampage could cause significant trouble. Fortunately, the surrounding residents had long since fled to safer defensive zones, allowing the helicopters to shoot without restraint. 0

There weren't many Flame Zombies—only about seven or eight—but it was unclear how they had been packed into that Big Truck. The helicopter's machine guns were powerful; a single hit would create a massive gash in a Zombie's body. Although those Flame Zombies were running amok, everyone managed to eliminate them all within just a few minutes. 0

"I hope this time we don't let that Old Guy get away again!" Will muttered to himself before ordering the helicopter to land near the burning Big Truck. 0

Will believed that if someone was alive, he should see them; if they were dead, he should see their bodies. He decided to conduct a thorough search. Lin Yi found himself once again in a Zombie-occupied area and couldn't help but grumble internally. Since there was no combat mission this time, and out of caution, Lin Yi brought Douglas, Taishan, Fire Dragon, and Number 19 down from the helicopter. Ying Sa left half of her Mercenary team on board while Will took only five or six people with him. After everyone disembarked, the three helicopters circled above to guard against aerial threats. 0

The moment Lin Yi stepped onto this scorched earth, he suddenly felt an inexplicable chill. This was a new ability that had developed after his mental strength increased; he sensed that someone was watching him with hostile intent. 0

Will was eager to find Benito's body, so he called a few people to use fire extinguishers to put out the flames that had almost consumed the Big Truck. However, as Will carefully searched the driver's seat, he found not even a trace of human remains. "Hellfire" missiles were powerful, but they shouldn't have incinerated a person sitting in the driver's seat completely. The only possibility was that they were still alive! 0

Suddenly, a piercing scream echoed behind them. When everyone turned around, they saw a soldier with wide eyes, his face filled with terror, clutching his neck with both hands as blood gushed out wildly between his fingers. 0

"Quick..." Lin Yi's shout hadn't fully escaped his lips when the soldier's legs gave way, and he collapsed to the ground, blood dripping from his jaw onto the floor. 0

A chill ran down Lin Yi's spine, and Douglas wore an expression of disbelief. They had been vigilant about their surroundings, yet they were still ambushed. 0

Before anyone could recover from their shock, another scream pierced the night air. This time it was a member of Ying Sa's team, also wide-eyed and terrified, clutching his neck in the same manner. But again, it did nothing to stop the flow of blood and life. 0

"Help... help..." The Round Table Knight Mercenary Corps member, now covered in blood, stared ahead with desperate eyes, one hand reaching out as if trying to grasp something. But it was clearly futile; soon there was no life left in his gaze. 0

In just a few seconds, two living people had died without warning before everyone's eyes. Everyone began to feel alert; they weren't afraid of death but rather of the unknown threat. 0

"Shh~" Another soldier fell to the ground, but this time he didn't even have a chance to scream; his entire head had been severed in an instant by a sharp blade. Blood erupted from his neck like a fountain, appearing eerie under the beam of a flashlight as if opening a gateway to hell. 0

"The devil... no... the devil's messenger is coming to kill us all!" One of Will's soldiers shouted frantically, pointing toward the edge of the light as if he had seen something that filled him with extreme fear. 0
