Will's words drew considerable attention, after all, the Thousand-Faced Fox was a well-known figure, and many had heard of him. Given the current situation, Will needed to ensure that the information about the Zombie being manipulated by the Thousand-Faced Fox did not reach the ears of ordinary citizens. 0

Lin Yi and his team were not fools; upon seeing Will's strange expression, they became aware of the unusual circumstances. Will had come alone; he had initially contacted Pachy but decided to consult Lin Yi, who was the true Captain of the Mercenary group. 0

"The situation is extremely urgent. They have already left the Greater Paris Defense Zone, so our mission is to capture them before this unfavorable news spreads!" Will said as he handed Lin Yi a freshly drafted operation plan. 0

Ying Sa felt a bit irritated seeing that Will seemed to disregard her presence, but noticing Lin Yi was focused on reviewing the plan, she leaned in to look at it together with him. 0

The plan was straightforward: Lin Yi's team and Ying Sa's team would assist Will's special operations unit in tracking down those who were raising Zombies. Along the way, various defense zones would provide support. Since the Greater Paris Defense Zone was the Defense Center of France, it had more authority than other defense zones and could mobilize armed forces from them. 0

After a brief discussion, they immediately decided to take action. Considering that Aoling Er and others were still unaccounted for, Lin Yi decided to leave a few female members behind to continue searching while all male members would join in capturing the Thousand-Faced Fox and Betoni. Ying Sa began gathering her entire Round Table Knight Mercenary Corps; her mercenaries were all professionals trained for special operations, totaling thirty members. However, they had recently lost one member, which was a significant reason for Ying Sa's eagerness in this operation. 0

Thirty minutes later, three Black Helicopters took off from a military camp, heading west toward Paris. Inside the cabin, individuals clad in black bulletproof vests wielded powerful Laser Guns, each carrying three high-explosive grenades on their belts. Upon closer inspection, one would notice that their legs were strapped with two thirty-centimeter-long blades, while at their lower backs rested the latest model of Desert Eagle along with four magazines. 0

On a crumbling concrete road, a Zombie emerged from sparse trees, aimlessly wandering about. It hadn't fed in quite some time and now appeared somewhat "exhausted." The left eye of the Zombie had been pecked out by a Corpseification Crow during a struggle over human flesh, leaving only a dark hollow socket. The right eye still moved around but revealed nothing in the pitch-black night. 0

The Zombie smacked its lips as if savoring memories of human flesh and blood. However, its mouth—already missing half of its jaw—looked rather comical as it did so, with drool dripping from its shattered jaw onto the dusty ground below. Suddenly, the One-Eyed Zombie sensed an exhilarating scent but found nothing upon looking around. Was it an illusion? The One-Eyed Zombie felt "frustrated" and scratched its sparse yellow hair with its bony fingers. 0

Suddenly, a flurry of wings startled nearby birds in the forest; oddly enough, these birds did not squawk as if their beaks were sealed shut. In the next moment, a harsh scraping sound pierced through the air. Of course, the One-Eyed Zombie could not hear it; its ear holes had long been blocked by crawling maggots. 0

A blinding light shone directly at it; instinctively, the One-Eyed Zombie raised its arm to shield itself but quickly realized there was no need—it did not fear this glaring brightness. At that moment, an insatiable desire stirred within its mind, guiding its next actions like a glutton drawn to food. The One-Eyed Zombie felt an overwhelming urge wash over it; it extended its foul long tongue to lick its lips before rushing toward that light. 0

With a loud bang, the upper part of the One-Eyed Zombie's neck exploded into a mist of blood without warning. The once-forward charging Zombie now became a headless creature yet continued running forward in an eerie manner. In an instant, this headless Zombie collided with the light beam—more accurately described as crashing into the massive front end of a vehicle behind that beam. 0

A shadow flashed by, and the headless Zombie was thrown over ten meters as if it weighed nothing. The body that had once been connected now lay scattered, dead beyond any hope of revival. 0

"Are you looking to get yourself killed? Why are you shooting!" An aged voice echoed in this desolate and cold place. The barren environment seemed to affect the speaker's tone, making it sound more like it came from hell—merciless and violent. 0

"But that guy just now..." a young voice protested reluctantly. However, seeing the old man's furious expression beside him, he ultimately swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue. 0

The elder who instilled fear in the young man was none other than Benito, known as the Thousand-Faced Fox. At this moment, his meticulously combed silver hair had become somewhat disheveled. A few longer strands fell carelessly across his forehead, making this once imposing figure appear somewhat disheveled. 0

"Carlo, things are different now; they might uproot us completely!" Benito looked at the young man with a crew cut and a resolute face but chose not to scold him. After all, the current situation was not suitable for such arguments. 0

Suddenly, a series of knocking sounds reached their ears, startling both of them. They turned to look out the window of the Big Truck and discovered that they were surrounded by a dense flock of birds that had appeared out of nowhere. No, they couldn't be called birds; they had long since undergone Corpseification and were now Undead Birds that feared no death. 0

Benito glanced around. Fortunately, the glass on their Big Truck was bulletproof; even if these Undead Birds hit hard, they posed no real threat to them. However, the visual impact of these Undead Birds was horrifying. Their beaks opened at impossible angles as they relentlessly battered against the vehicle. But how could these flesh-and-blood creatures compare to a steel beast? After just a few violent strikes, their black-red beaks shattered instantly. Black ichor sprayed from the broken beaks onto the windshield, blocking Carlo's view completely before he even had a chance to clean it. 0

"Mr. Count, should we activate flight mode?" Carlo suggested as he saw the windshield turn pitch black and his vision severely obstructed. 0

Benito seemed to have similar thoughts but shook his head almost immediately. "No, if we take off, we'll easily be locked on by missiles like the Sword of Joan—almost perverse low-altitude defense missiles. If those guys fire just one at us, we'll be dead for sure." 0

Carlo's expression changed as he recalled the terror of the Sword of Joan defense missiles. However, being trapped in this place without any way forward would eventually lead to their demise anyway. 0

"The energy can still hold out; let's activate the electric net attack!" Benito prepared to use Flame Attack directly but reconsidered—doing so would expose their position too much. If they didn't finish off the Undead Birds first, they might get discovered and obliterated by military missiles. 0

A series of chilling electric crackling sounds suddenly filled the air, creating an indescribable sense of dread. At that moment, electric sparks flickered outside the truck as currents crawled like devilish tentacles extending outward, fiercely attacking everything in their path. 0

The Undead Birds continued their relentless assault, but the specially designed truck, now crackling with electricity, resembled a burning torch. Whenever an Undead Bird collided with the vehicle, a charred smell instantly filled the air. The stench of decay mixed with the burnt flesh permeated the cabin, which, despite being tightly sealed, could not keep out the odor that wormed its way in like an insistent intruder. Benito prepared to turn on the exhaust fan but quickly remembered that due to the electrical attacks, the entire cabin had been completely sealed. If he opened the vent now, those electric serpents would slither right in, and there would be no place to regret it afterward. 0

Outside, the sounds of pounding grew distant as the Big Truck bumped along the dilapidated highway, moving at a pace that was now as slow as a snail compared to before. 0

“Damn it! There’s a helicopter chasing us from behind!” Carlo glanced at the vehicle's surveillance monitor and broke into a cold sweat. No matter how powerful their Big Truck was, it couldn't contend with a steel beast in the sky! 0

“Connect to Satellite, activate Autopilot! Full speed ahead!” Benito commanded decisively, no longer able to worry about anything else. 0

Connecting to Satellite and activating Autopilot made it easy for their location to be pinpointed by the enemy's surveillance equipment. However, there was no other choice; if they allowed the enemy to close in, they would only die faster. 0

With two loud metallic clanks, two metal cylinders about twenty centimeters in diameter were released beside the rear wheels of the Big Truck. Flames shot out from behind these cylinders, propelling the Big Truck to a terrifying speed that even seemed to surpass that of the hovering helicopter. 0

As the Big Truck accelerated, the previously relentless Undead Birds were blasted away like cannonballs fired from a gun at an alarming speed, bursting mid-air in an instant. 0

A dark rain began to fall from the pitch-black sky. The once dry and wilted leaves were now coated with a viscous liquid infected by corpse poison. It was as if a severely ill person had contracted some unknown virus; countless black spots scattered everywhere, bringing an unsettling chill that penetrated deep into one's bones. 0
