Doing good deeds is difficult, but doing a bad deed while pretending it's a good one is even harder. This was the situation Kachi found himself in now; he couldn't afford to delay even for a moment on the task assigned by his superior. So, although he hadn't figured out how to approach it yet, he steeled himself and went to find Lin Yi and the others. 0

"It turns out to be General Khaki. I wonder what business brings you here at this hour?" Lin Yi was unsure of Kachi's intentions but felt compelled to greet him. 0

Kachi's face showed a hint of embarrassment. He knew he was being somewhat abrupt, but considering he wasn't acting out of self-interest, he felt justified in his actions. 0

"I apologize for earlier today; it was truly unavoidable. The matter was of great importance, and I could only send my aide to accompany you. I'm here now to express my apologies and also to strengthen our relationship!" 0

Lin Yi and Li Qiweng felt uneasy at the sight of a high-ranking Lieutenant General being so courteous to two young people like themselves. However, seeing Kachi come alone, they assumed he wouldn't resort to any coercive tactics. 0

"You're a busy man, General. Coming here so late must mean you have something important to discuss with us," Lin Yi said, not believing that he had developed such a close relationship with Kachi that warranted this visit. 0

"Mr. Lin is our great benefactor; it's only natural for me to come see you!" Kachi's face twitched slightly. He had dealt with Easterners before but was surprised that this young man lacked the typical subtlety associated with them. 0

Seeing Kachi lowering himself so much made Lin Yi even more anxious about losing control of the situation. He decided it was best to send Kachi away immediately. 0

"Haha, Mr. Kachi is too kind! We just finished dinner; perhaps we could invite you to join us for lunch instead?" 0

Li Qiweng shot Lin Yi an appreciative glance at this point, secretly pleased that he had shown some progress. However, her mind raced as she considered how to navigate the situation moving forward. 0

"Mr. Lin is too polite; eating is indeed a matter of business. I just have some free time tonight to chat with everyone," Kachi replied, disregarding his pride and heading straight into the hall without waiting for Lin Yi to continue. 0

Lin Yi and Li Qiweng exchanged bewildered looks but were at a loss for how to resolve the situation, so they let Kachi enter. 0

Inside the hall, everyone was celebrating wildly. Jimmy, who was already tipsy from drinking straight from the bottle, stumbled over when he saw a stranger enter. Compared to Kachi, Jimmy didn't seem very tall; after all, Kachi had a military background. Despite his gray hair and wrinkled face, he still exuded a strong military presence. When Jimmy approached him with squinted eyes and a smile on his lips, it was clear that he was in an unusually alert state. 0

"Come on, let's have a drink!" Jimmy's breath reeked of alcohol as he sprayed it onto Kachi's face. However, Kachi merely stepped back slightly and quickly suppressed his irritation. 0

Lin Yi didn't want things to escalate further and hurriedly stepped forward to grab Jimmy's arm, signaling Witerson II to help pull him away. To be honest, the highest military rank he'd ever encountered was Lieutenant General; he certainly didn't want to offend someone like Kachi casually. 0

Although Jimmy was somewhat reluctant, Witerson II was not an easy person to deal with, and he quickly managed to handle the situation. Lin Yi let out a long sigh, contemplating how to deal with the burly old man next. 0

"Mr. General, it seems everyone has had too much to drink; perhaps we should talk another time. Today has been quite an eventful day for everyone, and we all need some rest," Lin Yi directly issued the eviction order. He had to do this; the longer they delayed, the more variables would arise. 0

Kachi ignored Lin Yi's words and walked straight to the dining table, casually grabbing a bottle of wine and popping the cap off. He raised the bottle high and began to drink heartily, finishing with a smacking of his lips, looking as if he wanted more. 0

Lin Yi admired Kachi's audacity but knew he couldn't lose his temper like Bai. Li Qiweng was right; he couldn't go against the power of a nation. He could only suppress his own anxiety. At that moment, Lin Yi noticed Douglas was pulling Jones aside for a conversation, but Jones seemed somewhat impatient. Seeing Kachi treating himself like one of them, drinking and eating without a care, Lin Yi decided not to make a fool of himself by continuing to urge others to leave. Instead, he walked over to Jones and gently tapped her shoulder, advising her: 0

"Jones, Douglas is a hero; you should chat with him more." 0

Jones remained polite towards Lin Yi, naturally treating him differently than she did Douglas. After hearing Lin Yi's words, she lightly nudged Douglas: "He helped me get revenge, but I haven't seen him do anything impressive; how can he be called a hero?" 0

Lin Yi chuckled lightly, saying nothing further. He leaned in close to Douglas and whispered something before giving Jones an odd smile and nervously walking away. 0

In that brief moment, Kachi had already finished a bottle of fairly strong liquor but showed no signs of intoxication; instead, he wore a joyful expression. Lin Yi sighed inwardly—was drinking really that enjoyable? 0

Just as Kachi was about to grab another bottle for more fun, the lights in the room suddenly went out. 0

"What kind of place is this? Just when things were getting good!" Tony was the first to express his dissatisfaction; he had been chatting with Hai under the influence of alcohol, and the blackout was quite inconvenient. 0

"Alright, alright, everyone is tired; let’s all feel our way back to our rooms for some rest. There will be plenty of time to play tomorrow!" Lin Yi seized the opportunity to firmly conclude the evening. His intention was clear: tell Kachi that with the power out, there was no point in continuing; it was time to call it a night. 0

Kachi seemed unable to continue being oblivious any longer. After hearing everyone stumbling around in the dark, he exchanged a farewell with Lin Yi before leaving alone with a somewhat forlorn expression. 0

Lin Yi shrugged with mixed emotions; he still hoped everyone could get along well but not at each other's expense. He decided that once Kachi had gone far enough away, he would lead his group to retreat immediately. 0

He didn’t inform many people about this sudden withdrawal because he wasn’t sure if this place was under surveillance; caution was necessary. After everyone fumbled their way off to rest, Lin Yi sat silently on the sofa in the hall alongside Li Qiweng. They both wanted to rest but needed to leave soon and had many issues to ponder carefully. 0

Three hours later, the clock had struck one in the morning, signaling that it was time for Lin Yi to leave. They had already obtained the flight schedule for this place, and tonight there was a military transport plane heading to Lion City. Lin Yi did not have the confidence that they could confront an entire country's army, but stealing a plane was not an impossible task. 0

Pachy, Witerson II, Bai, and Flower Cannon, who were aware of Lin Yi's impromptu plan, quickly took charge of waking everyone up and gathering them in the hall. Many were still groggy and unaware of what was happening. 0

"Everyone," Lin Yi began, "the reason for gathering you all at this late hour is that the officials are likely planning to keep us here to serve them. I want you all to understand that to them, our only purpose is to kill Zombies. However, we are flesh and blood; walking by the river often leads to wet shoes. If we continue down this path, we will inevitably make mistakes, and we all know what mistakes mean. Therefore, I have decided to take advantage of the cover of night and leave immediately! If anyone has any objections, you have five minutes to speak up. The choice to stay or go is yours!" Lin Yi expressed his thoughts rapidly before glancing at the old clock hanging on the wall, indicating that everyone could take some time to think. 0

Witerson II and a few others readily agreed to leave with Lin Yi. The rest of the group only needed a moment's thought before deciding to follow him as well. In their hearts, Lin Yi's repeated acts of selflessness had left a deep impression on them; they began to recognize the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps and this somewhat unorthodox yet gentle Captain. 0

Lin Yi was pleased with this outcome. He signaled for everyone to prepare their gear within ten minutes before heading straight for the Military Airport. 0

The outbreak of the Zombie Crisis had turned once-bustling streets into desolate ruins. Even on mainstream streets, there were hardly any people around; at one or two in the morning, it was even less likely for ordinary folks to be out. Dressed in their custom-made casual outfits and carrying large backpacks, Lin Yi and his team hurried toward their destination. 0

After days of running around and some time spent in a holographic training camp, the physical fitness of the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps members had improved significantly. They rushed toward the Military Airport they had already scouted out at nearly a sprinting pace; strangely enough, despite their speed, they made almost no sound at all—like phantoms in the night. 0

The Military Airport was located near the outskirts of town, conveniently close to the luxurious villa they had rented in the suburbs. The group moved swiftly and reached the makeshift Military Airport in less than half an hour. This airport had been responsible for transporting important supplies since its establishment due to its central location within a defensive zone. 0

Although manpower was scarce, as a logistics hub, there were still patrols present around the clock. It took considerable audacity for Lin Yi and his small group of twenty or so individuals to attempt seizing a Military Aircraft! 0

"Who goes there!" Just as Lin Yi and his team emerged from a building near the airport, a loud shout rang out beside them. 0
