When she came back feeling refreshed, Orly had been waiting for her in the living room for a long time.
"Come over here," she called Elena over.
"Are they all not here?" Elena looked around and didn't see the three men in the house.
Todd responded from the side.
"The master and the young masters have gone out. Miss, do you need anything? I can go and contact they."
"No, it's nothing. I was just asking," Elena waved her hand, and Todd understandingly gave the living room to the sisters.
Just as she entered, she saw Orly looking mysterious. Now that there was no one around, Elena curiously peeked in.
"What are you showing me?"
"First, promise not to get angry," Orly said seriously, holding an unopened envelope in her hand.
Elena Seeing her so serious, I had to sit up straight and nod earnestly, "Hmm, absolutely not angry."
Orly Looked at her suspiciously for a while, then sighed.
Orly While opening the envelope, she said, "That Amanda can play your ex-husband like a fiddle. I guess there must be something fishy. I know with your personality, you definitely wouldn't investigate secretly, so I hired a detective to look into it, to see if we can find any clues. Unexpectedly, I did find something strange."
She spread out about seven or eight photos from the envelope in her palm.
"Amanda had surgery abroad, but judging from her appearance, it seems to be plastic surgery."
Orly carefully compared them and suddenly exclaimed, "I knew these photos looked familiar. I couldn't figure out what was wrong before, but look! Her post-surgery appearance looks just like you! Wow, this is incredible. How does she even have the mole at the corner of your mouth?"
Elena also went over.
There is indeed some resemblance.
If the two people were walking on the street, from a distance, there is a high probability of mistaking them.
"Why would she do this?" Elena doesn't understand.
"Even though I haven't met her many times, she has no reason to create a face similar to mine, right? It's not me that Osiris loves."
Osiris doesn't love her, Elena knows that very well.
She thought time was the best remedy, but she still underestimated the damage of this statement to herself. After so long, she still feels the pain. Orly noticed that her best friend's complexion was off, and worriedly threw the envelope with the photo onto the table, "Are you okay?"
Elena nodded, "I'm fine." She glanced at the scattered photos on the table, her mind in a whirl. Amanda What does she really want to do?
I don't know if it's her imagination, but Elena always feels that something is not quite right.
...
Osiris himself can't figure out how Elena suddenly changed so much.
Not only did he crazily retort without any courtesy, he also hung up the phone!
This has never happened in the past three years.
Could it be that the Elena he has seen is just pretending, as Amanda said?
Osiris With a calm gaze, he felt his heart in turmoil, unable to make sense of his thoughts for a moment. Feeling both agitated and confused. The sound of crying reached his ears, and he suddenly snapped out of his emotions, quickly walking back to the bedside.
Amanda covered her face, lying on the bed, her low sobs lingering in the ward.
"Don't cry, everything will be fine."
He gently patted Amanda's shoulder.
"Um... I'm so scared of Aussie, I'm really terrified. I had a nightmare, dreaming that even you abandoned me. Aussie, I only have you, only you."
Amanda suddenly hugged Osiris around the waist, tears leaving a wet mark on his clothes.
After the car accident, Amanda became paralyzed in her lower body and unable to move freely.
Watching Amanda cry with red eyes and a red nose, Osiris sat down by the bed and handed her a tissue to wipe her face.
"It's my fault, I'm the one who's been a burden to you," Amanda said, trying to force a smile as she looked at Osiris with gentle eyes. "If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have married her, but I really didn't expect the divorce to make her so angry."
"Amanda, I won't let anyone bully you," Osiris reassured her.
Amanda cried even harder.
"Osiris, I don't want to hold you back. I'm just a useless person now, I'm not worth you doing this. I actually know, what she said is all true. Staying by your side will only cause you trouble."
She hugged Osiris again, gently wiping away her tears. "No one will love a cripple like me."
"She's right, I'm useless, I'm a waste of space. I shouldn't be alive. Sob, Osiris, you should leave, you should be with someone worthy, not with a woman like me who can't even walk."
"Amanda, I'm not going anywhere."
The same words, Osiris has repeated too many times.
"Woo Aussie, I, I don't want you to be angry because of me. Elena was just too angry, she made me bewitch you and made you divorce her."
Amanda nestled in Osiris's arms, holding tightly, invisibly asserting her sovereignty.
"You shouldn't question her. She only said those painful words to me in a fit of anger. Osiris, don't conflict with her because of me, okay? She's also a pitiful person."
Amanda looked at Osiris's face, making Osiris feel as if he saw a crying Elena for a moment. That timid and uneasy little thing. Osiris paused, blinked, and the inexplicable surge of emotion vanished in an instant.
"What's wrong?" Amanda looked at him with teary eyes, full of worry.
"It's nothing. You must be tired too. Let me help you back to bed," Osiris said, pulling Amanda's hand away and feeling her resistance. Hesitating for a moment, he still helped her back to bed.
"I need to talk to the doctor about something. Rest well."
The door closed, and the sound of Osiris's footsteps disappeared from Amanda's ears.
Amanda lay on the bed, with bandages wrapped around her wrist in circles.
She looked up at the ceiling, lost in thought, then suddenly closed her eyes and a cruel smile appeared on her lips.
