"Another layover, what a hassle. Where do they expect me to find the time for this?" Yang Xiaoyou mused as he crunched on a chip, propping his head up with one hand while staring out the window at the passing scenery.
Due to the unexpected changes at Pudong Airport, although the main structure remained intact, flights would not resume for at least two to three months. Yang Xiaoyou had no choice but to take a medium-sized aircraft from Hongqiao Airport to Osaka, and then transfer to a larger plane bound for Paris.
Now he had arrived at Kansai International Airport and boarded the flight to Paris without even taking a detour.
The relationship between Japan and China was fraught with historical issues, leading to mutual animosity. While government relations were somewhat normalized, public sentiment was still highly antagonistic. Japan had also received covert support from the entire Western world in its attempts to contain the Chinese Empire.
Given this situation, Yang Xiaoyou found it too troublesome to venture out; perhaps if he were in Akihabara, he might have felt differently.
"I suppose Yamaguchi-gumi is still under the control of that old man Watanabe from the Fifth Generation. When did he kick the bucket?" He rummaged through his mind for relevant information.
Japan was the only country that recognized organized crime's legal status, while simultaneously enforcing strict gun control laws.
This situation led to many of their firearms being sourced through smuggling. Although their share couldn't be too large, if he could secure a quota from one of the three largest organizations, it would be a significant boon for his current Wasp Arms Company.
Among the channels he had acquired, lightweight firearms could cover at least one-third of his needs here. What was particularly enticing was that due to the Japanese government's stringent gun regulations, selling higher-end lightweight equipment here would yield much higher prices than in more chaotic regions—real profits.
It was a pity that after spending several years as White Mouse, he didn't have much specific information about this place over the past few years. Back then, there wasn't much understanding domestically, let alone time to learn about foreign affairs. He only knew that by then, Yamaguchi-gumi had already transitioned to its sixth generation and that Japan's organized crime groups had undergone a reshuffle.
"Hmm, I remember there was something else... Who was behind this reshuffle?" Just as Yang Xiaoyou pondered this for a moment, several people walked up the aisle of the plane. His pupils involuntarily constricted as he caught sight of a girl with striking silver hair leading them.
"Heckmedia—that's it! She's the one who supported Inagawa-kai during Yamaguchi-gumi's power transition, providing sufficient weaponry support from behind the scenes. She’s the woman who facilitated Japan's organized crime reshuffle and laid a solid foundation for unifying the entire Free Arms World after reaping substantial benefits." With one hand propping up his forehead to shield his expression, Yang Xiaoyou gazed at her alluring silhouette with a hint of amusement.
Without a doubt, the girl with European heritage, yet possessing a delicate appearance reminiscent of an Eastern woman, looked only slightly younger than herself. She was destined to be the greatest rival in the arms market, though unfortunately, her company had yet to earn the qualification to compete against the other.
The princess of Hli, the Future Arms Queen, possessed analytical skills in tactics that could rival Mo Wenfu. However, no matter how outstanding her various aspects were, they could not conceal the fact that she was fundamentally a weak woman.
If only she had a gun, or if her arm had fully recovered, perhaps she could attempt to eliminate this future competitor in Paris.
Unfortunately, she currently had no firearms. While it was possible to acquire one temporarily from Paris, it would likely be impossible to track the opponent's movements afterward. Moreover, although her left arm could manage for now, it had not fully healed, and dealing with the fierce fellows surrounding her rival would be quite challenging.
When Fia Haek Media managed to secure this foundation, it was not only due to her own abilities but also because of the various elite individuals under her command who were quite renowned.
In terms of quality, her team was not much inferior to the carefully selected fellows she had gathered. Among them were several Yang Xiaoyou types who were rather impressive; she wondered how Fia could earn their genuine support despite their rebellious nature.
"Hmm?" A muscular woman stronger than most men turned her head towards Yang Xiaoyou after casting a glance. She frowned slightly before shaking her head and continuing to follow closely behind the silver-haired beauty ahead.
"What keen intuition! Just a slight leak of information. Well, since I can't deal with them right now, it's best to avoid drawing unnecessary trouble," Yang Xiaoyou thought as she watched the group heading towards first class, her head lowered in contemplation.
"Huh? That's it? No more?" The beautiful silver-haired girl exclaimed in frustration at the flight attendant's apologetic expression. She then threw herself into the arms of the muscular one-eyed woman beside her, wearing an expression of despair. "Weimar, I'm starving!"
The one-eyed woman, caught off guard by the silver-haired girl's sudden embrace, initially wore a lovestruck expression before turning serious and addressing the flight attendant. "This is first class; how can there be no food prepared? Are you trying to make us file a complaint?"
Upon hearing this, the flight attendant wore a troubled smile and replied, "Well, it's already past meal service. We distributed many meals earlier; there were supposed to be a few left over, but one passenger ate them all. The last portion was just called for by him."
Typically, food provided on flights is complimentary. For international long-haul flights lasting up to ten hours, they usually prepare ample meals.
It was usually the case that a few portions would remain, but this time, a young fellow had persistently insisted on taking them all, not even sparing the snacks that had been prepared.
This Flight Attendant had been working for quite some time, and it was the first time she encountered a passenger who could eat so much and didn’t care about the opinions of others.
"It's free, so why not enjoy it?" After shoving an entire Sandwich into her mouth and starting to chew, Yang Xiaoyou felt indifferent to the strange looks from those nearby.
At school, she was concerned about how she appeared because she spent a lot of time there. However, on the plane, most people were just passing through; no matter how odd or disdainful their gazes were, it wouldn’t affect her in any way.
Just as she picked up the last piece of Sandwich and was about to take a bite, a sudden gust of wind rushed toward her hand. Suppressing her instinct to retaliate, Yang Xiaoyou could only let the other person snatch the food from her grasp. When she looked up, she found the Arms Princess desperately shoving that piece of Sandwich into her mouth while glaring at her with an expression that suggested Yang Xiaoyou had stolen her food.
Seeing that fellow's childish expression made Yang Xiaoyou rub her eyes twice. Was she really not mistaken? Or did this girl have a twin sister?
However, the One-Eyed Woman beside her, who wore an annoyed expression while keeping a close watch on Yang Xiaoyou, confirmed once again that the girl in front of her—who was glaring and munching on that Sandwich—was indeed the Future Arms Queen.
"I never had direct contact with her before; I didn't expect her to be such a fellow." Rubbing her temples in frustration, Yang Xiaoyou found it somewhat amusing.
Ming Cousin had come; it seemed she couldn't escape this fate during summer vacation. However, updates should not be affected too much, though there might be some changes in timing occasionally.
