"Get lost! What are you doing here?" At the entrance of the High-Class Area, a beautiful woman in beige pajamas with a ponytail pushed herself away, her eyes glistening with tears and her expression a mix of urgency and anger. 0

As she was pushed away, a familiar sound echoed, and a red bloom of blood appeared on her chest. The pain from the bullet that pierced her abdomen was nothing compared to the feeling of her heart being completely torn apart. 0

"What’s wrong? Hurry up! Didn’t you just say you wouldn’t get too close to me in front of others?" That slightly arrogant voice snapped Yang Xiaoyou out of her memories. 0

Although it was just a simple memory, the scene still left Yang Xiaoyou's face pale. 0

"Hey, what’s wrong with you? When Uncle and Aunt went out, they asked my parents to take care of you. If something happens to you, it would be a big problem for us," Qi Menglu said, looking at Yang Xiaoyou's pale face. She instinctively asked before launching into an explanation. 0

Looking at the girl in front of her, who was still somewhat youthful yet resembled the beautiful figure from her memories, Yang Xiaoyou's expression became complicated. She then replied irritably, "Why are you here? You shouldn’t have come on this School Trip." 0

Their way of communicating had always been like this. Now that she had regained some memories, certain instinctive actions and tones were hard to change, and she hadn’t thought about changing them anyway. 0

"Why should I listen to you? If that loser can come, why can’t I?" Seeing that Yang Xiaoyou still had the energy to bicker with her, Qi Menglu rolled her eyes and huffed. 0

"I’ve heard there are many perverts in Kapa City; this is for your own good. By the way, you’re friends with Feng Lin, right?" Since she was already here, Yang Xiaoyou couldn’t ignore her. Although from her memories it seemed this girl was one of the twenty-six Survivors, she still needed to adjust the trajectory of fate to prevent any future mishaps. Yang Xiaoyou continued to play it safe. 0

"Feng Lin? Hmph! How shameless! You barely know her and you’re calling her by name already. I’ll tell her to beat you up! Just a warning: don’t think about doing anything bad to her, you perverted loser," Qi Menglu retorted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. 0

Feeling embarrassed by Qi Menglu's words, Yang Xiaoyou recalled how she had discovered some of her 'treasures' in her room. Being called out on this sore spot made her feel small. 0

She glanced at the other side where a girl had just gotten off the car, dressed in a Miko Outfit that looked like she had stepped out of a painting—delicate as a porcelain doll. Yang Xiaoyou couldn't help but touch her neck before reluctantly saying to Qi Menglu, "I wouldn’t dare provoke her. It’s because she’s hard to deal with that being around her feels safe. Ahem, since we’re such good friends, could you help introduce me?" 0

Initially, Yang Xiaoyou planned to persuade Qi Menglu directly but then shifted her tone instead. 0

"Ah! Go to hell! You better not get anywhere near Feng Lin. If I see you, I'll expose all your embarrassing moments, hmph!" Qi Menglu glared at Yang Xiaoyou with a look of suspicion. 0

"Uh, you’re not going to keep an eye on her the whole trip, are you?" Yang Xiaoyou said, suppressing a laugh as he watched the girl fall for the bait. 0

"Of course! I won’t give you a single chance. Hmph, I knew someone like you, a perverted shut-in, would have designs on her. You might as well give up now." After a brief pause, Qi Menglu waved her fist at Yang Xiaoyou and turned to walk towards the girl dressed in a shrine maiden outfit, glancing back at him warily from time to time. 0

Watching the girl hurry away, Yang Xiaoyou couldn't help but mutter, "It seems that going against this fellow really gets the most direct results." 0

He took a deep look at the group still conversing with the guards and then grabbed his travel bag, resolutely turning and striding into the city. 0

There were many fellows on this trip whose names he couldn't even recall, but they were all classmates from the same school. This farewell would likely be permanent for most of them. 0

However, as long as that silly girl was safe, it would be fine. With Feng Lin, that humanoid weapon by her side, the girl would surely be safe as long as she stayed close to her friend. As one of the survivors herself, she wouldn’t encounter any more accidents. 0

That shrine maiden sister had ancestors who established a shrine in the Chinese Empire and had roots here, possessing a hint of Japanese blood. She was one of the few humans capable of confronting him directly and was quite a headache for him. 0

Originally, their escape plan had been nearly perfect. With this hidden powerhouse beneath her cute exterior—comparable to an elite special operations squad—he should no longer have to worry. 0

Now all his energy needed to be focused on the plans ahead. 0

"Where's Yang Xiaoyou?" Liang Wuxuan suddenly noticed that the fellow he was supposed to be monitoring was missing and asked aloud. His gentle voice made it easy for others to relax and feel close to him, contrasting sharply with their earlier conversation in the hospital with Yang Xiaoyou. 0

"I heard there's a display going on right now; he probably slipped away," a male student from Yuying Middle School replied with a smile. 0

"This fellow..." Hearing this response, Liang Wuxuan clenched his fist. His previous warnings had been completely ignored by Yang Xiaoyou, and he chose this moment to wander off. 0

"Don't worry about him; he knows where the hotel is. There’s likely something going on outside. Let’s head to the hotel first and prohibit anyone from leaving the group alone from now on." 0

"Excuse me, is there a Gun Supermarket or a place that sells firearms on North Ring Road?" In a supermarket, Yang Xiaoyou asked in slightly awkward English while placing boxes of chocolates he had just paid for into his travel bag. 0

In the sudden memories he had acquired, Yang Xiaoyou possessed a vocabulary reserve from multiple languages, but he had not used them much himself. If it weren't for Yuying Middle School placing emphasis on spoken aspects, he would likely still be relying on pen and paper to communicate, ultimately falling short compared to those elites. 0

"Haha, buddy, you're not a citizen of our country, so you can't buy firearms. Even if you could get one, you probably wouldn't be able to take it with you. However, if you're just looking to broaden your horizons, you can check out No. 10 on North Ring Road. That should be Kapa City's largest Gun Supermarket, with military backing," the supermarket boss said with a hearty laugh. He was somewhat plump, with graying hair and a scruffy beard. 0

Yet behind his smile lingered an unshakeable worry, as if he was concerned about something. 0

"Thank you." After nodding with a smile, Yang Xiaoyou resolutely left the store. 0

Yang Xiaoyou was well aware of the unease hidden beneath the boss's smile. If his calculations were correct, the virus that had once caused global panic in his memories had begun to leak two days ago, and by now, the first batch of Infected should have already appeared since yesterday. 0

Thanks only to the diligent efforts of Puxiang Company's 'Janitor,' a large-scale outbreak had yet to occur. However, due to the dense population, ultimate loss of control was inevitable. By now, the residents of the city should have started to sense that something was amiss. 0

As he stepped onto North Ring Road once more—this road that would change the course of his life—Yang Xiaoyou's heart was filled with complex emotions: confusion and fear about the future, along with a barely noticeable thrill. 0

Watching the hurried pedestrians and hearing distant screams echoing in his ears made him grip his travel bag tighter. He then quickened his pace toward the direction he remembered. 0

"This spot is decent. Tsk tsk, why didn't I take a look around back then?" Passing by the Gun Supermarket, Yang Xiaoyou felt increasingly relaxed after glancing through the transparent glass walls at the products inside. 0

Having come this far, all that remained was to add as much insurance as possible to his original plan. 0

Ten minutes later, Yang Xiaoyou arrived at a narrow alleyway between two buildings designated for garbage disposal. Taking a deep breath seemed to lift some weight off his heart as he resolutely walked in. 0

The alley was only about two meters wide and extended inward for over ten meters before being blocked by a damp wall. In this already narrow space were two large square metal Trash Bins. 0

Peering into one of the Trash Bins with a broken lid revealed only some sticky scraps clinging to the walls of the bin; it seemed to have just been cleaned up. Yet even so, the nauseating smell unique to summer garbage remained quite strong. 0

The exposed black pipes clinging to the walls of the alley, along with the murky puddles that had accumulated on the ground, made it an environment that was far from inviting. 0

However, Yang Xiaoyou showed no signs of discomfort in this unpleasant setting. She walked straight to the innermost corner beside the wall and crouched down as if waiting for something. And wait she did, for over two hours. 0

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from the street, causing Yang Xiaoyou's pupils to slightly constrict as she stood up. 0

At that moment, seemingly due to an accident outside, a silver briefcase suddenly flew into the alley, slamming against the wall before bouncing twice and landing not far in front of Yang Xiaoyou. 0

The violent impact caused the briefcase to burst open, revealing a tempered test tube with metallic ends, about the thickness of a teacup, which popped out from inside. 0

Through the transparent section in the middle, one could clearly see a red eerie liquid inside. 0

As the test tube hit the ground, it seemed to trigger some sort of switch. The metal ends rotated on their own and extended outward for a short distance, followed by a surge of red mist pouring out from the test tube. 0

“Tsk tsk. Both the shockproof case and the tempered test tube have malfunctioned. If it weren't for time constraints and negligence on part of the personnel involved, this Seventh Virus Source might have been intentionally leaked. It seems they didn't consider this possibility back then. But what does that have to do with me?” A strange glint flashed in Yang Xiaoyou's eyes as she gazed at the increasingly dense red mist. 0

Then she closed her eyes and walked toward the red mist, her entire body disappearing into it. 0
