“Sima Chuan, what happened?” Annie came out after hearing the children's cheers. 0

“Nothing much,” Sima Chuan smiled. “Just getting the kids to work faster; those who complete their tasks well will be rewarded.” 0

“You,” Annie shot him a disapproving glance. “You’re going to spoil them like this. Sometimes you need to be a bit harsher.” Turning around, she shouted at the children who were working, “When I check your work later, anyone who doesn’t meet the standards won’t have dinner tonight. Remember, I’m serious.” 0

“How scary! Sima Chuan is better,” some of the children murmured. 0

“What are you whispering about?” Annie called out to the source of the noise. 0

“Nothing, nothing.” 0

“Then hurry up and make sure it’s clean,” Annie shouted again. 0

“Hahaha…” Alger laughed, holding his stomach at the door. “Sima Chuan, did you learn that from her? I feel like you two are going to lead these kids astray. Hahaha… you’re killing me.” 0

“Sima Chuan, do you know them?” Annie asked, frowning. 0

“They're the impressive friends I told you about last time.” 0

“Oh, it’s these guys?” Annie looked disdainfully at Alger and the others before turning back inside. 0

This action left Alger and his friends puzzled. Alger was the first to ask, “Hey, Sima Chuan, what was that expression from her? I just laughed at her a bit; is it really that serious?” 0

Sima Chuan shook his head with a smile. “Of course she wouldn’t look down on you for just that; this has to do with me.” 0

“You? Sima Chuan, come on, what’s going on?” Alger rushed over to Sima Chuan, grabbing him tightly. 0

“Let’s go inside.” Sima Chuan freed himself from Alger’s grip and led the three of them back into his room. 0

As soon as he closed the door, Alger asked, “Sima Chuan, did we say something bad about her? Is that why she looked at us like that?” He even mimicked Annie’s disdainful expression. 0

“Okay, my fault, my fault.” Sima Chuan waved his hand and explained everything that had happened. 0

“So it turns out you sold us out,” Alger said with a bitter smile. Then he stood up, grabbed Sima Chuan by the collar, and threatened, “Sima Chuan, you sold us out! Are you going to compensate us?” 0

“What do you want as compensation?” Sima Chuan asked as he released Alger. 0

"I'll think about it," Alger said, starting to ponder. Barnett watched them relax and enjoy themselves, so he didn't stop them and let them be. After a while, Alger's eyes lit up, and he clapped his hands, looking playfully at Sima Chuan, making Sima Chuan feel uncomfortable. 0

"What's wrong?" Sima Chuan asked softly. 0

"What are you best at?" 0

"What?" Sima Chuan was momentarily taken aback by Alger's question. 0

"I'm asking what you're best at!" Alger pretended to be angry and asked again. 0

"Cooking," said Qiong. She felt a bit happy because she noticed that Sima Chuan was changing, perhaps even he himself hadn't realized it yet. However, Qiong still had some concerns in her heart about Sima Chuan's mindset; the peaceful ideas that Markett had instilled in Sima Chuan's mind might become a significant obstacle for him on the battlefield in the future. 0

"Cooking?" Alger exclaimed, staring at Sima Chuan with his mouth agape, while Barnett looked at Sima Chuan with a puzzled expression. 0

"Yes, cooking," Qiong continued. Sima Chuan didn't stop her because he knew Qiong was about to reveal his past. "Sima Chuan used to live on Earth as a drifter, relying on himself to survive. At the same time, he mastered the art of cooking and reached a very high level, especially when it came to preparing game." 0

"Really?" Alger seemed skeptical. After seeing Sima Chuan nod, he excitedly shouted, "That's awesome! From now on, all our meals will be your responsibility. You can't refuse; after all, you sold us out!" 0

"Alright, Alger, it's understandable for Sima Chuan; you don't have to make it difficult for him," Barnett said with a smile as he waved his hand at Alger. 0

Alger released Sima Chuan and took a step toward Barnett, jokingly saying, "Doesn't the captain want to eat Sima Chuan's cooking? It's genuine manual work; it can't be compared to those machines." 0

Barnett stroked his chin and replied, "Pretend I didn't hear that." 0

"Sima Chuan, now that the Captain agrees, you have no choice," Alger said smugly from the side. 0

"Fine, I agree," Sima Chuan conceded. 0

"Great! Tonight will be your first meal to make up for us," Alger excitedly imagined. But he was quickly stopped by Barnett. "Alger, stop daydreaming. We need to summarize the situation among the four of us. Sima Chuan, start with what you know." 0

"Alright, I'll share everything I know." Then Sima Chuan recounted all the information he had. Barnett and the others listened attentively without missing a detail. 0

"That's all I know," Sima Chuan sighed after finishing. 0

"Okay, we just compared your information with what we know. Now I'll fill in the gaps between both sides; listen carefully," Barnett paused before continuing. "The current basic situation is that Nai is hiding in the shadows but is controlling those capitalists and ambitious individuals while also commanding an elite army. We haven't found any traces of Nai yet; perhaps he's built a palace underground or something. Our main priority now is to locate Sardana; hopefully Nai hasn't replaced him because that would be troublesome." 0

Barnett then looked at Sima Chuan. "Sima Chuan, how long do you need to say goodbye to everyone here?" 0

"Just a little longer." 0

"No need to rush, let's leave tomorrow morning." 0

"Alright." Sima Chuan nodded. 0

"Now, let's move on to the next discussion: how do we find Sardana?" Barnett raised a new question. 0

"First of all, according to the Star History, around mid-January of the ninth year of Kovok Star, Sardana was supposed to lead half of the Alliance to a town called Sagala. However, due to an insider leak, they were ambushed on the way and suffered heavy losses." Qiong recounted that part from the Star History records. 0

"That's right, but now those in control of the forces are no longer the capitalists and ambitious individuals; it's Nai. So we can only treat what is recorded in the Star History as a reference. The further we go, the less valuable that reference becomes," Alger said seriously, abandoning his usual flippant demeanor. 0

"So our first task is to find Sardana and protect him in secret. If Sardana is captured or killed by Nai, everything will start to face historical changes," Sima Chuan continued. 0

"Alright, we'll first locate Sardana and protect him discreetly while closely monitoring his surroundings. We don't know if Sardana will still follow the developments recorded in the Star History. If he does, it will make things easier for us. But right now, we don't know anything, so we need to prepare for various scenarios to prevent any unexpected events." 0

For the next while, Barnett and his three companions continued discussing this matter in Sima Chuan's room. Outside, the children and Annie felt disappointed, especially Annie. She had thought Sima Chuan and his friends would finish their conversation quickly and come out, but even now, there was no sign of Sima Chuan's door opening. 0

Annie was quite dissatisfied and planned to give Sima Chuan a piece of her mind later that evening while Sima Chuan and his friends were still intensely discussing the subsequent developments of their situation. 0
