After sending off Giant Jordo, Lin Yuan kicked Thomas and Fat Three into the healing nutrient chamber before trading each of them a Modification Point. He generally followed a sequence to ensure gradual progress; it would be difficult for onlookers to notice the key details. If Thomas and Fat Three didn’t mess things up—which was unlikely—Lin Yuan felt confident about that.

To this day, among that batch of Earthlings who survived, each has become a powerful figure capable of commanding respect in human society.
Kress's family united with six other influential families on Earth to control the fate of Earth Humans immigrating to Mechanical City. The higher-ups in Mechanical City were unwilling to directly manage other life forms like humans; thus, they consistently employed agents.
These seven families serve as a communication bridge between Earth Humans and the upper echelons of Mechanical City. In some sense, these Seven Great Families wield even greater power than those historical figures from Earth's civilization.
To honor these Seven Great Families, the higher-ups in Mechanical City even allowed each family to possess five permanent Sub-bases—essentially thirty-five habitable planets that are indistinguishable from Earth.
The Sub-base located at S-15 is actually owned by one of these prominent families; however, for reasons unknown, it was abandoned not long ago.
Of course, Jordo saw little significance in this. Earth is barren and pales in comparison to other Sub-bases. Now relying on their respective Sub-bases, the Seven Great Families have grown increasingly powerful, akin to kings ruling over their territories.
In fact, each of these Seven Great Families has formed an elite Knights Order capable of participating in grand interstellar wars beyond their star domains.
The Viper Mercenary Corps was affiliated with the Knights Order established by the Cress Family. Moreover, Kress held the title of Heavy Armored Knight, a title that commanded respect throughout Mechanical City. Even the nobles among the Mechanical Warriors dared not take it lightly.
This was what Lin Yuan had gathered; of course, it wasn't much of a secret. Every descendant of Earth Humans understood this clearly.
