Desire can be said to be the most terrifying devil in this world, residing deep within the soul. Just a spark is enough to ignite a raging fire, causing one to lose all reason.
Lin Yuan was no exception. For a fleeting moment, a thought crossed his mind about taking down a young Mutated Fire Crow!
It was insane!

In that instant, the previously squawking Idiot Crow suddenly stopped, extending its neck—two to three meters long—and stared wide-eyed at Lin Yuan.

Lin Yuan cursed inwardly. He hadn’t anticipated that while these Idiot Crows couldn’t discern danger or targets of attack, they had mastered the basic skill of filling their bellies. Thus, any moving object that appeared before them could potentially be seen as food.
But Lin Yuan's assumptions were far from sufficient. After staring at him for about two seconds, the two Idiot Crows suddenly became excited and began squawking loudly—a sound of delight upon discovering food. Simultaneously, their massive beaks lunged toward him with alarming speed.
Cursing under his breath, Lin Yuan had no choice but to abandon his disguise. With a leap, he dodged the deadly pecks and fled down toward the volcano while swiftly transforming into his Second Form. At this point, there was nothing left to do but escape!
However, as Lin Yuan ran away, the two Idiot Crows became even more exhilarated. Flapping their plump wings and squawking loudly, they chased after him, drawing the attention of other young Fire Crows as well.
Moments later, the crows that had been either dozing or running around the perimeter of the volcano erupted with immense enthusiasm, their cries echoing as they all rushed towards Lin Yuan. The scene was truly shocking, comparable to a stampede of thousands of horses!
Even more astonishing was that the crows surrounding several nearby craters were also drawn in, creating a chaotic avalanche-like effect that left Lin Yuan feeling utterly helpless.
Fortunately, his Second Form had successfully transformed. Although the area was filled with steep ridges, it did not hinder his movement. Within seconds, he ramped up the engine output to a speed of two hundred eighty kilometers per hour. The Idiot Crows, driven by their fervor for food, were also sprinting at incredible speeds. Their massive bodies shook the very ground beneath them, causing the volcano to rumble and accelerating the flow of magma within its crater.
This was undoubtedly the most perilous moment in Lin Yuan's life. He was navigating steep ridges with inclines reaching sixty degrees, marked by deep and shallow crevices that crisscrossed in a complex pattern. He had to maintain a speed close to two hundred kilometers per hour, which was exhilarating.
Even though this was his Mechanical Body in its Second Form and did not require manual control, danger lurked at every turn. A slight miscalculation could send him flying off course!
At that moment, Lin Yuan's earlier greedy thoughts had vanished without a trace. The Energy Engine was now overclocked and outputting at full capacity, disregarding any concerns about suppressing power. His Intellect spread across the nine Intelligent Brain Nodes of his Mechanical Body operated at full speed. The Main Audio-Visual Radar and Second Audio-Visual Radar scanned all terrain within their range, rapidly relaying information back to his Intellect for quick memorization, analysis, and organization. Based on this data, he swiftly determined all subsequent routes and actions; every angle and force needed to be precise!
Every second, Lin Yuan's Intellect processed an overwhelming amount of information, while the Movement System of his Second Form executed maneuvers as delicate as ballet on a razor's edge.
In just ten seconds, Lin Yuan had surged from the initial crater to the lower half of the volcano's slope. Here, the steepness eased considerably, but obstacles increased significantly—irregular gray-black spheres about a meter in diameter were densely scattered across the hillside.
Initially puzzled by these objects, Lin Yuan quickly realized they were nothing other than the droppings of Mutated Fire Crows!
At this point, he had no opportunity to complain; the dense distribution of Fire Crow droppings further slowed his progress. Despite his rapid reflexes, he ultimately met his downfall. In less than three seconds, his Second Form collided directly with a Fire Crow dung ball. Despite his best efforts to control it, he could not avoid being thrown off course.
To make matters worse, the relentless Idiot Crows behind him crashed into even more dung balls, causing them to roll into one another and triggering a massive collapse!
Lin Yuan barely had time to protest before being engulfed in this tidal wave of dung balls.
However, there were some benefits, as at that moment, two adult Mutated Fire Crows were rapidly flying in from a distance. If they had slowed down even a bit, Lin Yuan would have been caught.
As for those Idiot Crows, they had stopped their pursuit. Their foolish brains could actually distinguish between droppings and food, which was truly unbelievable.
Half an hour later, Lin Yuan finally crawled out from beneath the countless droppings. Although the situation was extremely messy, his losses were minimal. His Mechanical Body was intact, with only a few dozen Health Points lost. Most importantly, he had not lost the precious mechanical scales.
