However, escaping further was impossible. The Razor Beetle was much faster than Lin Yuan, and if it charged again like before, his life would likely be forfeit.
With no other choice, Lin Yuan fled towards the High Ground. At the top of this ruined High Ground, there was a protruding spot about three meters high. He hoped that the Razor Beetle wouldn't be able to jump and would give him a moment to catch his breath.
In an instant, the High Ground came into view, and the Razor Beetle was already ten meters behind him. Without hesitation, Lin Yuan shouted in his mind and jumped up from his spot, narrowly landing on that protruding position. He quickly turned around and fired three shots again. Despite the Razor Beetle having 10 Health Points, he had managed to chip away at it significantly during this chase.
If the Razor Beetle couldn't reach him, Lin Yuan might actually have a chance to take it down slowly.
However, looking at this one-star danger level Razor Beetle, even though it couldn't jump, its eight sharp legs were truly formidable. Just before landing, he brought together two Mechanical Legs and four Mechanical Arms to form a rough circle and rolled quickly down the steep slope of the High Ground.
Lin Yuan's roll was quite impressive, creating a distance of over two hundred meters between him and the Razor Beetle once again.
At this point, what else was needed? Just run. While running, he prepared to charge and lock on. As soon as the Razor Beetle reappeared within a precise range of one hundred fifty meters, he would unleash a volley of attacks and then escape once more!
Moreover, Lin Yuan had a clever plan. Instead of fleeing randomly, he made a wide circle. By the time the Razor Beetle was closing in on him again, he had already returned to the High Ground. He then retracted his Mechanical Legs and Mechanical Arms and quickly rolled down!
This way, the distance was once again increased! Although the Razor Beetle was ferocious in close combat, with it unable to catch up, its Health Points were gradually whittled away like barbecued lamb.
