The flying object moved at an incredible speed, entering Lin Yuan's Auditory Radar's Precision Coverage Range in just two seconds. However, when Lin Yuan finally got a clear look at this so-called flying object, he was momentarily stunned. Initially, he thought it might be some kind of detection instrument, but to his surprise, the Three-Dimensional Projection generated by the Auditory Radar revealed a strange bird about the size of a pigeon.
No, to be precise, it was a black bird resembling an Anzhela Venom Bee! It had an imposing presence!
"Looks like trouble is coming!" Lin Yuan thought to himself. Previously, he had invested considerable effort exploring the area around the ruins, and aside from that fortress, he had found no signs of life whatsoever. He never expected that today he would be fortunate enough to encounter such a bizarre 'bird' right after stepping out.
However, before Lin Yuan could decide whether to capture or eliminate this strange bird, his Auditory Radar had already relayed information about it.
"Variant Half-Mechanical Body organism, Anzhela Venom Bee, native to Earth, mutated after the New Energy Crisis, possessing a half-Mechanical Body and half-Lifeform, feeds on various metal ores, particularly fond of Centrifugal Stone Ore..."
"What the hell? A half-Mechanical Body half-organism? And it feeds on Centrifugal Stone Ore? Isn't that Standard Energy?"
Lin Yuan was taken aback and finally understood where the problem lay; it was attracted by his exposed Energy Engine. At that moment, he had no time to think further. The Auditory Radar quickly locked onto the rapidly approaching Anzhela variant Anzhela Venom Bee, and his right arm's Laser Gun fired without hesitation.
Unfortunately, despite Lin Yuan's Auditory Radar being relatively quick—at least compared to slower Mechanical Warriors—the flight speed of this Anzhela variant Anzhela Venom Bee was astonishingly fast. In less than two seconds, it had covered nearly one hundred fifty meters and charged directly above Lin Yuan's Mechanical Body. Its large, dark form bore down with a razor-sharp stinger measuring fifteen centimeters long, aiming straight for Lin Yuan's Energy Engine!
Lin Yuan was alarmed but remained composed. Fortunately, his waist could now rotate three hundred sixty degrees rapidly. He raised his left arm to shield himself from above and executed a quick spinning jump that sent the Anzhela Venom Bee flying away!
Initially, Lin Yuan thought that blow would either kill or severely injure the Anzhela Venom Bee. To his surprise, its resilience far exceeded his expectations. With a buzzing sound, it curved back and relentlessly pursued him. The sharp black stinger glinted in the sunlight, sending chills down Lin Yuan's spine!
Yet Lin Yuan couldn't simply surrender. He accelerated the operation of his Auditory Radar in an attempt to lock onto the flight trajectory of the Anzhela Venom Bee while also increasing his jumping speed toward the Warehouse Base. His left and right Mechanical Arms, along with two additional Mechanical Arms, were all raised to protect him from above. As soon as the Anzhela Venom Bee dared to come close again, he would execute another three hundred sixty-degree spin—this strategy seemed effective for now.
With his head held low, Lin Yuan quickly dashed forward, soon finding himself just a few hundred meters away from the Warehouse Base. He finally let out a sigh of relief; as long as he could reach the Warehouse Base and close the iron door behind him, no Anzhela Venom Bee would be able to get in.
However, just as Lin Yuan thought this, an Anzhela Venom Bee suddenly dove down and landed on his Mechanical Legs, its thick stinger piercing through the Enhancement Level 45 Mechanical Legs and creating a hole!
In that instant, Lin Yuan felt a reflexive sensation reminiscent of when a nurse would jab him in the buttocks with a needle during his human days.
"Ow!"
Lin Yuan screamed in his mind, not out of pain—he couldn't feel any pain—but because the stinger of the Anzhela Venom Bee contained a highly corrosive venom that was eating away at his Mechanical Legs!
"Warning! Warning! The Mechanical Body is being corroded. Potential consequences include a decrease or even interruption of Civic Induction Transmission Rate! Immediate repair required!"
"Damn it!"
Furious, Lin Yuan swung his Mechanical Arms at the bee, but it was incredibly agile, already flapping its wings and slipping away into the air.
Meanwhile, due to the corrosion of his Mechanical Legs, his jumping speed had significantly decreased. Although the Warehouse Base was right in front of him, he knew that if he continued to flee blindly with his head down, he would truly have no chance of returning. At the very least, he wouldn't be able to protect his Energy Engine.
Realizing this, Lin Yuan forced himself to suppress his anger and anxiety. He needed to find a way to take down that palm-sized Anzhela Venom Bee—he had to eliminate it!
At this moment, Lin Yuan stopped fleeing altogether. He jumped behind a large rock, raising all four of his Mechanical Arms towards the sky. His Auditory Radar was running at full speed, continuously locking onto the target again and again! He felt immense frustration; had he known how crucial the Auditory Radar would be, he would have upgraded it long ago. Now, he couldn't even keep up with the speed of a single Anzhela Venom Bee.
The Anzhela Venom Bee seemed to sense the danger as well; it stayed clear of Lin Yuan and buzzed around him rapidly in circles, occasionally flaunting its impressive flying skills.
At this moment, Lin Yuan finally took a good look at the Anzhela Venom Bee. This creature was truly bizarre; both pairs of wings were made of some kind of metal, and its abdomen was covered in a set of iron armor. Its head was dark and likely very hard, and the mouthparts were even more disgusting.
It seemed that Earth was completely devoid of human life, as even a single Anzhela Venom Bee had mutated into such a terrifying monster. One could only imagine how horrifying the other surviving creatures must be!
These thoughts merely flashed through Lin Yuan's mind, as he dared not let his attention waver for even a moment. All four Laser Guns were fully charged and ready to fire at any moment. He believed he could blast the Anzhela Venom Bee to pieces, provided he could lock onto it first!
