The soul of the Bat King merged with the soul of Su Bao, forming a new entity that could no longer be separated. Although the Bat King had absorbed the power of a meteorite, Su Bao possessed the strength of bloodline. Despite Su Bao's soul being faint, it maintained a strange balance with the Bat King, combining to create a new life form. The Bat King was both Su Bao and itself.
Su Ruolan bid farewell to Zhan Yixiao and set off for the place of rebirth with the contracted group (beasts), hoping to discover something new there.

"Yes, Commander," an officer replied, who bore a striking resemblance to Jiang Yan.
"Jiang Jun, I know your brother Jiang Yan's situation has made you furious, but you are different from him. Focus on your work," Jiang Zhilin said as he patted Jiang Jun on the shoulder and walked away with steady steps.
Jiang Jun nodded and lowered his head as he waited for Jiang Zhilin to leave. When he looked up again, his eyes held an inscrutable meaning.
"Younger Commander, Fang Nan has returned," Xu Qiubai reported.
"Oh, he’s back! Where is he? Let’s go see him," Zhang Yu exclaimed excitedly upon hearing that his long-time subordinate had returned. He immediately set aside his work and gestured to Xu Qiubai before getting up to visit Fang Nan.
"Younger Commander, please don’t rush. He’s already outside. I’ll call him in now," Xu Qiubai said with a smile.
Zhang Yu suppressed his excitement and sat back down at his desk.
"Younger Commander, I’m back." The door swung open, and Fang Nan appeared before Zhang Yu.
"Old Fang, you finally returned!" Zhang Yu exclaimed, overwhelmed with joy as he rushed forward to shake Fang Nan's hand excitedly. "I’ve been waiting for you for so long."
"Young Commander, I'm sorry. I didn't expect this mission to take a year, but thankfully, I have fulfilled my duty and finally uncovered the secret that the Jiang Faction has been hiding. They have been using the Squad to search for young girls everywhere, extracting substances from their blood to research the Zombie decoding agent. This experiment seems to have been ongoing for quite some time, but for some unknown reason, it was later terminated, and the laboratory was destroyed. Only one test subject survived, but that subject was taken away by a Zombie. I have the last experimental blood serum here." Fang Nan looked at Zhang Yu, his eyes slightly moist. Despite being a tall and strong man, he struggled to contain his emotions and quickly reported the important matter, pulling out a decorative box containing the serum from his pocket.
"Hey, let's put that aside for now. There's no rush. We haven't seen each other in years; come on, let me treat you to a meal first," Zhang Yu said, pulling Fang Nan along as they walked outside.
In a spacious and simple room, a round table was set with several dishes—mostly frozen canned meats—along with a bottle of liquor and a pile of peanuts. Zhang Yu, Xu Qiubai, and Fang Nan sat around the table, with some verified non-toxic edible mutated vegetables placed on the platter.
"Come on, let me toast you. Brother, after all these years working for our country's cause, constantly entangled with Jiang Zhilin's faction amidst danger and conflict, you've brought us valuable intelligence time and again. It hasn't been easy; you've really endured a lot," Zhang Yu raised his glass in salute to Fang Nan.
"Young Commander, I don't deserve such praise. You're being too kind; this is what I should do," Fang Nan replied as he downed his drink in one gulp.
"Fang Nan, it's been years since we've seen each other. You've returned with such remarkable achievements," Xu Qiubai joked. "By the way, how did you manage to escape from them?"
"I left B Base with Jiang Zhisen and was headed to G Base for my new assignment. On the way, we encountered Zombies. I got injured while trying to save him. He handed over that test subject to the Zombies so we could escape. In gratitude for saving him, he revealed that secret to me. This is the last experimental blood serum; I figured it would be difficult to get it out once I entered G Base, so I took action midway."
