Su Ruolan was immersed in her relentless training, feeling as though her abilities were perpetually stuck at the peak of Level Four, unable to break through that threshold. 0

Watching her tireless efforts, practicing wood-based skills, Ice Element skills, and Ice Ability skills, it seemed every move was repeated countless times. From single-target techniques to area-of-effect skills, she practiced tirelessly, forgetting to eat and sleep. Unbeknownst to her, a month had passed. Su Ruolan looked at her status once more, feeling frustrated. Why wasn’t there any progress? 0

“Ruo Lan, don’t be too anxious. You need to take care of your health. Your irregular diet and impatience won’t do your body any good,” Reset couldn’t help but advise as he observed Su Ruolan’s frantic state. 0

At that moment, a large Vampire Bat flew out from a cave and looked at Su Ruolan with disdain. “Foolish woman, you’re so stupid.” 0

“You can’t say that about my master!” Monet growled at the Bat King, baring her teeth. 0

“What suggestions do you have?” Su Ruolan asked seriously after ceasing her training. 0

“Are you new to cultivation? Have you ever considered why you cultivate? Is it just for leveling up?” the Bat King asked sharply with an air of arrogance. 0

“I’ve been cultivating for three months. I want to level up—not just for myself but also for those I love and who love me. I know something must be wrong,” Su Ruolan reflected on her recent progress, feeling a bit lost. “Why can’t I break through despite putting in so much effort?” 0

“Ruo Lan, I think I know where the problem lies,” Reset suddenly said. 0

“You finally understand! I thought I was the only one who got it. How did you become someone’s soul contractor? Is it because you keep losing focus that this woman remains so foolish?” the Bat King continued with sharp-tongued remarks. 0

Suddenly, the space trembled violently, and the Bat King was sent flying as if slapped, crashing into a mountain peak. Slowly getting back up and shaking off the dust from his wings, he cursed inwardly. That cunning fellow actually used his identity as a space manipulator to launch a surprise attack on him. When he finally solidified his form, he would make sure to have a proper fight. 0

Having driven away the Sharp-tongued Tsundere Girl, Reset felt a sense of calm return, and his mood instantly brightened. He began to engage in earnest conversation with Ruo Lan. "I'm sorry, Ruo Lan. My mindset affected your judgment during that time. We both ended up in a dead end. Although this Vampire Bat looks ugly, its insight is quite sharp. I suspect you've destroyed too many mountain peaks; I wonder how many families you've ruined. If you don't come out and take a look soon, you might end up sleeping by the water." 0

"Are you saying that I've been blinded by the pursuit of upgrading and extending my life?" Su Ruolan began to understand, pondering aloud, "Is it that I've been working hard but in the wrong direction?" 0

"Let me put it this way: your diligent practice is akin to tactics. But have you considered why you want to upgrade? Is it merely to extend your life? That isn't beneficial for refining your Dao Heart. This reflects a lack of strategic consideration," Reset explained. 0

"Every form of cultivation has an ultimate goal; everything should advance and strive toward that goal. During this time, your focus has been on mastering techniques, making each move sharper and more effective against enemies. When your mindset and perspective change, naturally, the space for growth changes as well." 0

"I understand now. The external limitations I set for myself during cultivation determine how vast my platform and space can be. It's like a container; if I define it as having a one-meter diameter, then its limit is nearly one meter." Su Ruolan suddenly had an epiphany. "The true test of cultivation lies not in the mastery of techniques but in the breadth of one's vision and heart." 0

Connecting her fate with that of her family and humanity, Su Ruolan fell into deep contemplation. She replayed the people and events she had encountered since her rebirth like a film— the grotesque faces of Zombies devoid of human consciousness, the Orange-Eyed Zombie who still remembered to protect its mother even after becoming a Zombie, pushing others into danger to escape from Zombie attacks, drawing weapons against her savior because she couldn't save him completely, the Government Army that treated lives as mere weeds, the Huaxia Army rushing thousands of miles to rescue their leader, humans fighting among themselves for power, those loyal after being saved like Kong Xiangchengxi, eyes filled with despair against an unchangeable fate, friends like Qin Zhi Han who had saved her multiple times, and Qi Runzhou along with the babies she cared about—different people, different events flashing before her incessantly. 0

What was the meaning of her rebirth? Was it merely to rectify past regrets? Was it just for personal family fulfillment? After reuniting with them, would she continue living a life of turmoil? Would she allow the babies to grow up in such a chaotic world? Would they be unable to grow up safely while constantly facing threats from Zombies? Always under siege by war? Starving without stable access to education, perhaps never reaching adulthood or marriage? Was humanity's conflict with Zombies an endless cycle? Could Runzhou's team achieve their goals and change this world? What could she do? How far could she go? 0

One soul-searching question after another tormented Su Ruolan; her spirit endured relentless suffering. She didn't notice that amidst this painful reflection, her meridians were continuously expanding—slowly but steadily widening. Reset was delighted to see changes gradually occurring in the space; it was as if the original space resembled a dragon from the idiom "painting a dragon and dotting its eyes," which had yet to be completed. Through Su Ruolan's constant refinement of her heart, the space began to show signs of vitality—a system for self-growth was starting to establish itself within it. 0

"Ruo Lan, you've made a breakthrough!" Reset exclaimed joyfully. "If you go out now, you can level up five levels!" 0

Su Ruolan slowly opened her eyes, revealing determination and persistence within them. This was her first spiritual rebirth; it marked the beginning of her elevation in realm—a qualitative transformation was underway. She gradually pulled back all the energy she was about to release outward; she had already touched upon the threshold of Level Five Ability—just a slight nudge would break through that barrier. 0

"Now isn't the best time for an upgrade. I finally understand why many beasts need to reach Level Five before they can transform," Su Ruolan reflected. It made sense why the Bat King could see through her existing issues at a glance; despite being sharp-tongued and proud, he awkwardly expressed his concern for her. Without his reminder, she might have wandered down a confusing path for much longer and wasted time. Choosing wisely is more important than hard work; direction matters more than steps taken. 0

"Ruo Lan, what's wrong?" Suddenly, Qin Zhi Han's concerned voice reached her ears, prompting Su Ruolan to quickly withdraw her consciousness from the space. 0

Looking dazedly at Qin Zhi Han's worried face, Su Ruolan's expression wasn't very clear, but her eyes reflected confusion—what happened? What was going on? 0

"You were terrifying just now, sleeping for two hours without moving at all. I couldn't even wake you up," Qin Zhi Han said, looking at Su Ruolan, who was in a rare daze, incredibly adorable and cute. He felt an irresistible urge to reach out and pinch her cheeks. 0
