The struggle between the Dai Government's Jiang Faction and Zhang Faction was intensifying. The Zhang Faction sought to unite with the Huaxia Army, urging the Dai Government to join forces against the Zombies, while the Jiang Faction insisted on strictly eliminating the Huaxia Army to maintain its orthodox position. Qin Zhi Han and Su Ruolan inadvertently learned of this information, recognizing it as a significant opportunity. They needed to inform the Huaxia Military Headquarters about the Zhang Faction's stance and urged the leadership to strengthen contact with them. However, why were members of the Squad trying to kill Qin Zhi Han? Had they truly uncovered his identity? Su Ruolan looked at the unfamiliar soldier before her, filled with questions. How could he prove his identity?
Qin Zhi Han communicated briefly with Cyan Flame, lowered his head, and when he raised it again, he had returned to his original appearance.
"Is it really you?" Su Ruolan exclaimed joyfully, thrilled that she had quickly found him. "Let's hurry and leave."
Qin Zhi Han was equally pleased but did not want to reveal his transformation again. Instead, he tore a piece of cloth from his clothing to cover Lezi's face. Just as they were about to exit the tent, Milu arrived, and they collided head-on.
"Who are you? How did you end up here?" Milu asked, glancing behind them at the corpses scattered on the ground. Panic and anger surged within her as she demanded, "Where have the original soldiers gone? What have you done to them?" While shouting for help, she directed her Ability at Qin Zhi Han and Su Ruolan.
Upon seeing Milu, Qin Zhi Han hesitated momentarily, recalling how she had shielded him from gunfire before. At that moment, Milu shouted out loud, and he regretted being too lenient.
Su Ruolan was taken aback by Milu's presence; this was not the infatuated girl she remembered. How could she be here? Given her skills, she could have easily subdued Milu in one move, but with Qin Zhi Han standing in front of her, she refrained from attacking. Unexpectedly, this delay led to complications.
As Qin Zhi Han engaged in combat with Milu, it immediately attracted attention from nearby soldiers who began to converge on their location. Zhang Yu and Peach Blossom also appeared with a group of people.
"Where did this spy come from? Seize them at once!" Peach Blossom declared arrogantly.
Seeing support arrive, Milu feigned an attack and separated from Qin Zhi Han. In truth, Qin Zhi Han felt guilty; a man should be clear about enmities and kindnesses. He did not wish to take Milu hostage for leverage and thus showed mercy.
"Sister, please help me! Capture them! They got rid of Black!" Milu rushed over to Peach Blossom in anger.
"Black? A dog?" Peach Blossom asked curiously.
"No! It's the soldier I helped shield from bullets. I don't know his name; his face is very dark, so I just called him Black. He was locked up in this room before," Milu explained.
The room was filled with dead bodies, all appearing to be Squad members. Peach Blossom thought to herself that it was pathetic; they couldn't even capture one person. The disappearance of these two must be connected to that soldier—they were either killed or abducted. She needed to get her hands on them. "The Young Commander is impressive; with just a little strategy, we’ve caught Huaxia Army personnel. Why not hand them over to me? I know how to make them talk quickly," Peach Blossom said with a charming smile that belied her sinister intentions.
"How could we let you take action? A beautiful woman should keep her hands clean," Zhang Yu remarked with a wicked grin as he looked at Peach Blossom.
Su Ruolan watched the scene unfold, feeling a bit speechless. She had been completely ignored; they were already discussing ownership before they even caught the person. But were they talking about the gunfire she had witnessed earlier? If the one shot was the infatuated girl, her relationship with Qin Zhi Han was quite special, wasn't it? Had her sudden appearance disrupted his plans?
"Young Commander, they have kidnapped my sister's beloved. As her sister, I must step forward. With your gentlemanly demeanor, you shouldn't compete with me," Peach Blossom said, her voice soft yet laced with an undeniable tone of refusal.
"What if they are actually my soldiers and not from the Huaxia Army? Look at these dead bodies on the ground; they are the ones I arranged to ambush again," Zhang Yu suddenly said seriously, turning to Qin Zhi Han and Su Ruolan. "You two should come over here."
Su Ruolan was taken aback. What was going on? She glanced at Qin Zhi Han, who also seemed puzzled by Zhang Yu's intentions. However, he still trusted Zhang Yu to some extent and pulled Su Ruolan toward him.
"You really won't give me any face, Young Commander? Are you truly going against me?" Peach Blossom's expression darkened as she spoke each word deliberately.
"They were originally my soldiers; how could I be going against you?" Zhang Yu waved his hand at Qin Zhi Han and Su Ruolan. "Get down there."
"Stop! Zhang Yu, how dare you openly protect the Huaxia Army? If you don't release them, I won't hold back," Peach Blossom said, her face completely falling as she gestured to her people behind her. "Capture them!"
Immediately, Zhang Yu's men clashed with Peach Blossom's forces in a chaotic battle. Bullets flew in all directions as abilities were unleashed.
Peach Blossom engaged in combat with Zhang Yu. Her ability was seduction, enchanting hearts and taking lives without them realizing it. Unfortunately for her, she was up against Zhang Yu, who had seen countless beauties; her ordinary looks could not easily captivate him.
Qin Zhi Han and Su Ruolan prepared to slip away amidst the chaos but were soon entangled by Milu, who shouted while fighting, "Hand over Hei or you'll wish you were dead!"
Su Ruolan suddenly felt that her presence had lost its meaning. Even if she hadn't come, Qin Zhi Han would have protected himself well. Yet no matter what, seeing him safe brought her joy—unrelated to love, just friendship.
Qin Zhi Han and Su Ruolan dared not reveal their identities as they dodged continuously.
Suddenly, a soldier covered in colorful leaf paste approached Milu and plunged a dagger deep into her heart. Milu's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at the man who attacked her. With a swift motion, she struck him away but continued to cough up blood. The soldier had struck precisely; his blade cut through her vital arteries from where she had been shot earlier—she was doomed.
"Hahaha! Great! Big Sister, I've finally avenged you!" the soldier laughed maniacally.
"Milu!" Peach Blossom went mad upon seeing Milu fall. "You dare kill her? I'll make sure you all pay for this!" She shot directly at the soldier's forehead, causing him to collapse instantly.
"Dragon Jade!" Su Ruolan recognized the familiar voice of the fallen soldier just as she realized it was the missing Dragon Jade. A smile of surprise crossed her face before rage took over when she saw him die before her eyes. No longer caring about hiding her identity, Wood Vine surged forth toward Peach Blossom.
"You are the woman who took Milu's black gold staff?! Don't even think about leaving; you better give up your life." Peach Blossom suddenly shouted, "Brothers, Young Commander has also betrayed us. He has been hiding Senior General of the Huaxia Army Qin Zhi Han and his woman. Let's capture them together!" No one expected that Peach Blossom was actually a multi-ability user with Sound System, mental manipulation, and charm abilities, and her ability level was not low. Her loud shout echoed far and wide, nearly covering the entire camp, captivating many soldiers who then turned to attack Zhang Yu, Qin Zhi Han, and Su Ruolan.
Caught off guard by this unexpected turn of events, Zhang Yu struggled to dodge and counterattack. Just then, an SUV skidded to a stop beside them. Xu Qiubai honked the horn fiercely and shouted, "Get in the car, Young Commander!"
Zhang Yu pulled Su Ruolan, saying, "Get in!"
Seeing this, Qin Zhi Han quickly jumped into the vehicle.
Xu Qiubai slammed on the gas, and the SUV shot out like an arrow.
"Qiu Bai, what is going on?" Zhang Yu asked angrily.
"Young Commander, we've all been deceived. We just captured River Fish. It turns out that Peach Blossom is the real leader of the Jiang Faction at H Base. That Milu is actually her half-sister. Peach Blossom is quite sinister; many officers and soldiers in the unit have been subtly influenced by her, waiting for the right moment to take us down," Xu Qiubai yelled while driving.
Zhang Yu was stunned. He had lightly flirted with Milu, letting her use her charms and feigned suffering to seduce Qin Zhi Han. He never expected that she wouldn't fall for it; although it attracted the attention of the Huaxia Army, it wasn't the target he wanted to negotiate with—it was that foolish woman, Su Ruolan. And as for Peach Blossom, he had no idea she possessed multiple abilities and had outsmarted him.
Damn it, now everyone was in the same boat. Su Ruolan had offended Milu, who had taken a liking to Qin Zhi Han, while Dragon Jade lurked within Zhang Yu's forces, having killed Milu. Regardless of how things played out, this debt would fall squarely on Zhang Yu's shoulders.
Meanwhile, zombies chased after the team led by Peach Blossom, constantly hunting humans; she led her large group in pursuit of Qin Zhi Han and the others. In her haste, Su Ruolan couldn't join up with Kong Xiang and the others, hoping they still remembered the backup plan they had discussed. The four of them fled southward in a disheveled manner, trying to cover their tracks. All around them were three parties moving like hungry snakes—whoever ran faster would escape quicker.
