Qin Zhi Han stared at the dark room, contemplating his next escape plan. After multiple encounters with Zhang Yu, he understood that every action carried significant meaning, but this time felt particularly strange. 0

"You really aren't very clever this time. A dignified elder sister actually put herself in harm's way—it's a bit much, don't you think?" Xu Qiubai scoffed at Milu. 0

"Weren't you the ones who told me to win over that soldier? How was I supposed to know he would be so difficult? Who exactly is he, and why is he putting on this act? He hasn't softened at all and made me take this bullet for nothing." Milu, who should have been unconscious, surprisingly regained her senses. Though weak, she still shot back at Xu Qiubai. 0

In Zhang Yu's room, Zhang Yu sat across from Peach Blossom. "Young Commander, I think Milu took that bullet for nothing. Why did she do that?" 0

"Weren't you the one who asked me for help? She made a mistake; she needs to achieve something to go back. If she successfully turns a Senior General of the Huaxia Army to our side, wouldn't that please them over there? It could balance her mistakes! Unfortunately, her charm just isn't enough," Zhang Yu chuckled lightly. 0

"What? That soldier of yours is really a part of the Huaxia Army?" Peach Blossom was taken aback. 0

Zhang Yu merely smiled without responding. In the dim light, Peach Blossom's expression was hard to read. 0

In a dark corner, Peach Blossom paced anxiously and softly called out into the shadows. A moment later, a man emerged, wearing a hat pulled low over his brow. "You called me over in such a hurry; what's going on?" 0

"There's a Senior General of the Huaxia Army hidden in Young Commander's camp—the one Milu was supposed to turn. Think of a way to abduct him and see if we can pry some information from him," Peach Blossom said sharply, her eyes cold. 0

"And if not?" The man nodded but pressed further. 0

"S Base is currently wavering and seems to want to ally with the Huaxia Army. I've heard they're sending someone to B City to serve Dai Yuanshou. If they take control of this situation, our commander will be at a disadvantage. We cannot allow them to join forces; if necessary, we must eliminate them," Peach Blossom declared, making a slashing motion with her hand. 0

The man indicated he understood and quickly left with his hat lowered. 0

Peach Blossom glanced around before departing as well. 0

From a concealed spot across from their meeting place, Zhang Yu quietly observed everything. Xu Qiubai whispered, "Young Commander, the fish are starting to move." 0

"Mm, from now on, increase the number of people assigned to protect him," Zhang Yu said as he gazed into the distant horizon where the sky turned dark blue. "Do your best to keep him alive." 0

Su Ruolan and Monet Heart concealed their figures as they surveyed nearly a hundred tents, feeling anxious about which one held Qin Zhi Han. 0

Suddenly, they spotted a group of soldiers approaching one of the tents, armed with real weapons, clearly preparing for a guard duty. 0

Su Ruolan's heart leaped with joy; this must be the place. But how could she rescue him? 0

At that moment, someone shouted, "Zombies are coming! Everyone, get ready to fight!" 0

The soldiers hurriedly grabbed their weapons and rushed out of their tents, forming up to prepare for the attack. In the wilderness, ambushes required more people to coordinate defense and offense. 0

Seeing that only two soldiers remained outside the tent, Su Ruolan felt a surge of excitement and quietly crept up behind them. With swift strikes to their necks, she took them down. She grabbed a cloth and tied it into a bow at the back of her head, covering most of her face. Gently lifting the tent flap, she slipped inside. As soon as she entered the room, a powerful aura enveloped her. Looking up, she saw an unfamiliar soldier sitting inside—this was bad; she had entered the wrong room. In a flash, Su Ruolan activated her ability and unleashed Wood Vine, sending it straight toward him. The soldier, seeing a stranger before him, gathered fire elements in his palm and prepared to launch a fireball. But upon seeing the familiar Wood Vine approaching, he froze for a moment and was quickly ensnared. 0

With a flick of her wrist, Su Ruolan pulled the Wood Vine tight around him and swiftly grasped his throat, demanding, "Where are the people you captured?" 0

Hearing that familiar voice confirmed his suspicions. The unfamiliar soldier was indeed Qin Zhi Han, who felt deeply moved. He never expected Su Ruolan would risk herself to come and save him. At that moment, happiness surged within him, causing his lips to curl into a slight smile. 0

Noticing that the unfamiliar soldier remained unresponsive, Su Ruolan grew anxious; she had exposed herself. If she couldn't rescue Qin Zhi Han now, it would be even harder later on and could bring him trouble. She tightened her grip slightly. 0

Qin Zhi Han sensed Su Ruolan's urgency and felt both amused and exasperated. Just as he was about to reveal his identity to her, he suddenly noticed another group of people stealthily approaching from outside. In an instant maneuver, he broke free from Su Ruolan's grasp and reversed their positions, hiding them both in the corner of the bed while whispering quickly, "I am Qin Zhi Han. Don't move; someone is coming." 0

What was happening? Looking at the completely unfamiliar face before her, Su Ruolan felt confused. Was this really Qin Zhi Han? Had he disguised himself? 0

A team silently burst into the room and immediately attacked upon seeing Qin Zhi Han. As they struck, both Qin Zhi Han and Su Ruolan recognized their identities—members of Squad. 0

They attacked fiercely with swords drawn in powerful thrusts and slashes. The leader exuded an icy demeanor filled with an aura of death. 0

Qin Zhi Han realized he couldn't afford to be careless; he activated his ability and engaged them in combat. Perhaps both sides feared complications arising from prolonged conflict; their movements were swift as they aimed for quick victories. Although these Squad members were skilled fighters, they paled in comparison to Jiang Yan's squadron; within just a few exchanges, Qin Zhi Han had subdued them. 0

Once captured, they showed no hesitation in biting their tongues to end their lives. The leader of the Masked Man hadn't anticipated Qin Zhi Han's prowess; what he thought would be an easy victory turned into a disaster as if a cooked duck had flown away. He immediately turned to flee the tent but was caught by Qin Zhi Han and knocked unconscious. To prevent this man from taking his own life as well, Qin Zhi Han swiftly dislocated his jaw and asked, "Why did you come to kill me?" 0

The Masked Man glared at Qin Zhi Han with hatred but remained silent. 0

“Qin Zhi Han, let me handle this,” Cyan Flame suddenly said. 0

“Alright, it's in your hands now,” Qin Zhi Han replied, releasing his grip and stepping back to the edge of the bed. 0

Su Ruolan watched Qin Zhi Han's actions, her guard instinctively rising. Who was this person really? What was he up to? One thing was certain: he was not part of the group that came later. 0

The Masked Man's gaze began to waver; something seemed to unsettle him. He grew tense, beads of sweat forming on his forehead, clearly struggling with his emotions as he gripped the weeds on the ground with his left hand. Gradually, he relaxed his resistance, his eyes softening and his expression easing. 0

“It's alright now. If you have any questions, ask quickly,” Cyan Flame said wearily. 0

“Why did you come to kill me? Who ordered it?” Qin Zhi Han knew he couldn't waste Cyan Flame's efforts; this mental control could only last for a moment. He lifted the Masked Man's chin and asked pointedly. 0

“I was ordered to capture you. If there was any resistance, I was to kill you on the spot. I heard from S Base that they plan to collaborate with the Huaxia Army and must eliminate you, the Senior General of the Huaxia Army, to sabotage that opportunity,” the Masked Man said, his face contorting in pain as he struggled to speak. 0

“Who is your leader here?” Qin Zhi Han pressed on. 0

“It's—” The Masked Man suddenly gasped, blood spilling from his mouth as he fell backward, dead. 0

At that moment, Su Ruolan had stepped away from the bed and exchanged glances with Qin Zhi Han. She had previously heard that members of Squad had been placed under various levels of restrictions; merely mentioning a certain word would trigger poison within them, leading to immediate death. She never expected to witness such a reality firsthand. 0
