"Nothing much, just that Gu Daxian and I are tired. We nearly exhausted ourselves retrieving your son's life from the King of Hell."
Shangguan Mingyue spoke with a straight face, while Zhang Yuan, being a businessman, quickly understood her implication.
He hurriedly signaled to his wife, and soon Madam Zhang rushed back from their room, quickly stuffing something into Zhang Yuan's hands.
Zhang Yuan smiled broadly and said, "You two Great Masters have worked hard. We truly owe you for this; please accept this token of our gratitude."
A bank card was handed over to Shangguan Mingyue.
As she took the card and prepared to leave, I paused and turned to Zhang Yuan and his wife, saying, "Mr. Zhang, Mrs. Zhang, here’s my phone number. If anything seems off with Zhang Yi, please remember to call me; I can return at any time."
Perhaps my after-service attitude touched them, as they politely saw us out of the Zhang Family residence.
It was too late to head up the mountain, so the two of us had no choice but to check into a nearby hotel.
I was bored playing with Bao alone in the hotel while Shangguan Mingyue stepped out for a bit.
Feeling utterly bored, I soon fell asleep in the hotel.
I don’t know how long I slept, but suddenly it felt like an earthquake; the whole bed was shaking.
I opened my eyes and tried to get up to check what was happening, but while my eyes were open, my body wouldn’t move.
Was it sleep paralysis?
No way. After all those souls had scattered under my command recently, it would be impossible for any spirits to come back and harm me.
I had Shiro in my pocket and wore the Bone Whistle around my neck; these two powerful items—one good and one evil—would keep ordinary ghosts at bay.
The shaking of the bed intensified, especially on the left side.
I tried to catch a glimpse to the left, wanting to know what was happening.
In a flash, two dark figures were locked in a fierce battle.
The speed was so fast that I could barely distinguish who they were.
One red and one black shadow clashed intensely, the powerful shockwaves shaking my bed violently.
Suddenly, the red figure lunged toward me, and before I knew it, cold lips pressed against mine.
As he drew closer, I could see the man's face—an incredibly demonic visage with exquisite features. The red attire he wore exuded a lazy and carefree aura.
"Chuchen, you’re asking for death."
A familiar roar echoed in my ears, filled with such anger that my entire body trembled.
Then Chuchen was thrown off me, and I found myself enveloped in the arms of the man in black.
Looking up, it was indeed Mu Xuanche.
Today was the sixth; I figured he would show up, but I didn't expect him to appear in this manner.
Once he picked me up, I regained my ability to move.
Mu Xuanche's face was terrifyingly dark as he set me aside and charged at the Red-Clad Man once more.
The two engaged in a fierce fight again. This time, Mu Xuanche fought with ferocity, leaving the man in red looking somewhat overwhelmed.
"Mu Xuanche, this girl is not bad. I want her."
The Red-Clad Man winked at me fearlessly, which was just pouring oil on the fire—what a fool.
Mu Xuanche was furious. A wave of energy swept through the room, sending the Red-Clad Man crashing against the wall.
The tremendous shock made the entire hotel room tremble, and I could see the chandelier above the Flower Board about to fall.
I rushed over to embrace Mu Xuanche, urging him to calm down.
Taking advantage of the chaos, the Red-Clad Man pushed himself off the wall and vanished from our sight.
Suddenly, I felt another wave of energy hit me, and I was thrown onto the bed. I cautiously glanced at Mu Xuanche; this man’s temper was truly terrifying.
Turning around, I saw Mu Xuanche's face filled with Yin Qi, his handsome features dark as coal. His cold eyes glared at me, radiating an aura of hostility as he slowly approached.
I quietly backed away; this was even more frightening than the first time I met Mu Xuanche.
"Are you afraid of me?"
He leaned in closer, fixing his gaze on me.
I shook my head vigorously; admitting it now would surely cost me my life.
"You're dirty..."
What did he mean by that?
Before I could comprehend his words, he reached out and forcefully rubbed my lips with his hand.
It felt like my lips were about to bleed from the friction before he finally withdrew his hand, satisfied.
I hesitantly asked, "Who was that person just now?"
The moment the words left my mouth, I realized I was asking for trouble.
The warmth around me suddenly dropped, and Mu Xuanche gritted his teeth beside my ear, saying, "You’re looking for death, daring to be with another man under me."
"I didn't, I wouldn't dare, I just..."
Before I could explain, Mu Xuanche had already thrown me onto the bed.
With a swift motion of his hand, my entire body was exposed to the air.
The cold air instantly assaulted my skin, causing all the pores to open and goosebumps to rise.
Mu Xuanche stood above me, looking down with an expression that seemed somewhat strange.
A wicked smile played on his handsome face as he smirked and said, "Today, I’m going to punish you."
My heart trembled slightly; I had no idea what was coming next. Just by looking at him, I knew it wouldn’t be anything good.
Bang!
With a loud noise, I was flipped onto the bed, lying on my stomach with my back to Mu Xuanche.
What was he planning? Fear gripped me, making me tremble as I asked, "Mu Xuanche, what do you want?"
"Wife, what do you think your husband can do to you?"
His cold, sticky tongue brushed over the butterfly bones on my back, and I tensed up, unable to move. The tingling sensation transmitted through my body made me shiver.
Pinned down and unable to move, I could only turn to plead with Mu Xuanche. I truly feared him in this state.
"Mu Xuanche, husband, please spare me."
My soft pleas did not make Mu Xuanche relent; instead, they ignited his anger. He lunged forward and covered my mouth with his lips.
Twisting my head to kiss like this put my whole body in a strange position, and I wanted to resist but found myself unable to.
Finally, just as I felt I was about to suffocate, Mu Xuanche released my head.
In an instant, I collapsed back onto the pillow, like a thirsty goldfish. My swollen lips parted as I gasped for breath.
"Wife, it seems Husband needs to teach you some breathing techniques."
That Demon Mu Xuanche had the audacity to lean on my shoulder and talk to me. Furious, I reached out and slapped his shoulder.
"Haha..."
He laughed a few times before swiftly lifting my body.
He positioned me against the headboard, forcing me to kneel and face him.
I wanted to escape, but my body felt stiff and immovable.
I was infuriated; that damned Mu Xuanche had me pinned down again. I tilted my head back and shouted, "Let go of me! Hurry up and let go of me..."
His enchanting voice rang in my ears once more: "Wife, don't worry. Husband will let you go."
"Ah..."
A sudden pain made me tremble all over. That damned Mu Xuanche actually treated me like this.
Is this his way of humiliating me as punishment?
Damn it, now he wasn’t moving at all.
It was unbearable; my body remained frozen in place.
My face was flushed, and the lingering scent of Mu Xuanche filled my senses. Although I had my back to him, I could almost guess how wickedly he was smiling.
There was no way I would beg him.
I clenched my teeth, trying to suppress the overwhelming sensations flooding over me.
"Ah, damn it..."
That scoundrel Mu Xuanche, he actually...
He actually pinched me, with just the right amount of softness that made me dizzy.
The soft sounds escaping my lips betrayed my inner turmoil; my face was so red it felt like it could bleed, and the metallic taste on my lips proved how hard I was trying to endure.
"Wife, beg me. You want it."
Unable to hold back any longer, I lowered my head and murmured, "Please, I want..."
The storm that followed was almost unbearable. At first, the bed shook; now it was me trembling.
I couldn't help it anymore; I let out the voice from deep within me.
Like a stimulant, it spurred Mu Xuanche on even more.
He became increasingly vigorous, and at this point, I could no longer withstand it.
In that moment before I fainted, the only thought in my mind was that I could never go through this again.
Seconds later, I woke up when my phone's alarm for a midday nap rang.
Recalling the events of last night shocked me into immediately looking down to check.
Fortunately, the blanket was still on me.
Turning my head, I saw Shangguan Mingyue sleeping soundly in the next bed. I wondered what time she had come back last night, as she was still asleep even later than I was.
I slowly tried to sit up, but my body felt as if it had been struck by lightning, aching all over.
If it weren't for the bloodstains on my hand that had faded back to my ring finger, I would have thought last night was just a nightmare.
I cursed Mu Xuanche countless times in my heart, that damned bastard.
The pajamas I was wearing must have been put on by him. Thankfully, they were long enough to cover my knees.
Two fist-sized dark marks revealed Mu Xuanche's wrongdoing from last night.
My throat felt hoarse and uncomfortable; I had screamed too wildly.
“Yan Xi, are you awake?”
A lazy voice came from behind me. I quickly turned my head.
“Mingyue, what time did you come back last night?”
“I forgot. Anyway, I was all groggy when I got back and just fell asleep. Why is your face so red?”
“Nothing, just a bit hot.”
Fearing that Shangguan Mingyue would notice something unusual, I continued talking while sneaking into the bathroom.
The moment I stood up, a sensation of something flowing down inside me made me want to dig a hole and bury myself in it.
Not caring about what Shangguan Mingyue might think, I dashed into the bathroom to take a shower.
"Damn Mu Xuanche, that damned bastard."
After taking a shower, I wrapped myself tightly, leaving little exposed except for my face.
"Yan Xi, are you sick? Your face is so red, and you're wrapped up so tightly."
I lowered my voice and replied, "I might have caught a chill last night. I'll be fine after drinking some hot water."
Fortunately, Shangguan Mingyue was rather oblivious and didn't catch on. She grinned at me and said, "Come on, sis, I have some good news for you."
"What good news could make you this happy?"
"Yan Xi, guess how much money Zhang Yuan put on that card for us?"
"Seven thousand!"
