Xiao Zhongda was not particularly interested in what Lu Sha was saying; instead, her words reminded him of certain memories. Xiao Zhongda belonged to the Black Fox Bat species, and his homeland was Oceania, the closest continent to the coordinates deciphered by the Strategic Intelligence Agency. He could not recall exactly what had happened before his transformation, but in his account, he mentioned that after gaining intelligence surpassing that of ordinary humans, the one who claimed to be his father released him, saying it was for his freedom. In reality, Xiao Zhongda was deemed a rather failed experiment.
The others were astonished; Xiao Zhongda could serve as an assistant to the research team and was the "gatekeeper" of the Song Family's Antimatter Reserve Center. This hardly seemed like a failure.
"I don't understand either," Xiao Zhongda said, his emotions complex. "I heard from other victims that we are all experiments created before they could produce a truly ideal life, so we are all considered failures." He continued, "Later, I followed them to China and was auctioned off by Mr. Song. The peaceful life gradually helped me remember my experiences back in my homeland. Essentially, our habitat was destroyed by wildfires, and I was rescued as a cub..."
Xiao Zhongda's unfinished thoughts indicated he had more to say. Qin Weishan attempted to speak but was pulled back by Jiao An.
"Moreover," Xiao Zhongda directed his wings toward the Winter Melon Egg Drop Soup at the center of the table. There was little soup left, with a piece of winter melon sinking at the bottom. Everyone turned their gaze toward it as Xiao Zhongda pointed out, "This memory has a clear fracture between my recollection of arriving in China and being adopted by Mr. Song. I've been trying to remember; during my leisure time, I would stare blankly at the sea between Oceania and my current location on the map. Now that the internal Human infiltration plan has been completely destroyed, I have a hypothesis: could most of those so-called legends and supernatural phenomena in the ocean be related to them? In other words, perhaps 'acquaintances' erased my memories during my journey across the ocean to prevent me from exposing their location, or maybe their position is like that winter melon—at the bottom of the sea?"
Xiao Zhongda's speculation opened up new possibilities for everyone, but whether he believed in the existence of the mythical Mu Continent remained uncertain. An Xiaotian and Liu Xuan turned to Mr. Song for insights about these legends. Mr. Song explained that Mu Continent is merely a legend in human understanding and can only remain so; if proven true, it would fundamentally shake the field of world geography and subsequently impact history and culture.
"So you know the answer in your heart but are unwilling to disclose it to the outside world?" Liu Xuan asked.
Mr. Song led them to his villa's backyard. Beyond it lay their Antimatter Reserve Center. Against the wall of the reserve center hung a continuously flowing image display showcasing stunning landscapes and close-ups of young female models. At Mr. Song's command, the villa's artificial intelligence respectfully responded and switched the flowing images to another channel. An Xiaotian and Liu Xuan peered behind Mr. Song but saw no robots; even the source of the AI's feminine voice remained unidentifiable, as if it came from above.
"I do not know the answer, Liu Xuan," Mr. Song said while leaning on his cane and gesturing for them to watch the flowing images. "This knowledge has been passed down through my family; I am merely influenced by it. My late sister and I compiled everything we learned from our family's traditions and books into this footage stored in our Song Family's intelligent steward's chip, waiting for those who first seek answers."
(The following is a narration of the flowing images)
Humanity is not the first advanced civilization on this planet but is potentially the most capable of entering cosmic society. According to historical records from the Moon People, Earth’s first civilization existed before their birth; their contemplation of the universe began with gazing at their neighbors.
In ancient times of Lunar Civilization, there was no deliberate distinction between Inner Beings and internal Humans when a first team of explorers arrived on the moon’s surface only to witness a fiery Earth—due to an asteroid's sudden acceleration impact leading to catastrophic failures in Earth’s civilization: its axis tilted, atmosphere torn apart, mountains rose only to collapse again; despair enveloped an entire civilization until its first neighbor declared death.
Soon after, a second neighbor emerged with highly developed agricultural irrigation techniques adept at harnessing nature’s energy; their well-balanced society lived peacefully without developing military force. However, visitors from other dimensions disrupted their world, leading to their downfall as they became enslaved under these visitors’ influence—this marked the gradual emergence of racial distinctions among yellow, black, and white peoples.
Yet fate intervened for Earth when extreme weather combined with self-destructive retaliations from Earth’s civilization plunged it back into disaster; thus visitors abandoned their occupation of Earth while this second civilization nearly vanished.
If these two civilizations were mere preambles, then what followed were three civilizations that would showcase Earth's brilliance. The third civilization built upon its predecessors’ foundations developed rapidly; they invented biomechanical tools and even landed on the moon causing considerable panic within Lunar Civilization at that time. However, soon after prosperity fell victim to entropy—the affluent lifestyle could not satisfy civilization’s greed—nuclear war erupted once more leading this third neighbor into self-destruction amidst its own artillery fire.
Frequent nuclear explosions caused continental plates to shift apart; during this time Mu Continent separated from present-day Asia and Africa becoming an isolated island floating on water.
From Earth’s first civilization through its third one, Moon People’s racial consciousness grew alongside personality divergences; wars between Inner Beings and internal Humans surged alongside Earth’s rise and fall until warlike individuals were entirely sealed away—these being today’s ancestors of internal Humans—finally allowing them leisure time to gaze into space.
Long-term warfare propelled rapid technological advancements on the moon while peaceful Inner Beings never forgot about their close yet unseen neighbor until finally an astronaut ship broke through internal Humans’ blockade heading towards Earth where a fourth civilization had already emerged.
Contrary to what inner emissaries imagined about them, this fourth civilization warmly welcomed them while introducing their unified identity—the Atlantis Civilization.
Atlantis Civilization named previous civilizations as Gendaya Civilization, Mesopotamian Civilization, and Lemuria Civilization respectively. They proclaimed they would not tread old paths; should history prove irreversible they would destroy all evidence of past civilizations on this planet before disappearing hoping future generations could live anew without constantly recalling how their ancestors perished.
At this time Earth slowly began self-repairing with only one continent suitable for large human habitation—the separated Mu Continent. Atlantis Civilization even shared unique technologies exclusive to Earth with Inner Beings who reciprocated by sharing their history and experiences regarding Earth fostering harmonious relations leading swiftly towards establishing interstellar diplomatic ties.
However, internal Humans unwillingness to accept defeat led them to learn about Inner Beings frequently departing for Earth which reached rulers’ ears centuries later prompting internal Humans’ first infiltration plan where they disguised themselves among Inner Beings heading towards Earth igniting conflicts there.
Unable to explain themselves clearly Inner Beings found themselves besieged forced into conflict against Atlantis people yet without harming Earth's foundational civilization—the true erosion came from those meddling infiltrating internal Humans.
Taking advantage of Inner Beings’ struggles on Earth infiltrators brazenly stole Atlantis’ technology prompting internal Human rulers deeming Atlantis’ existence as a threat inciting surviving extremists among infiltrators stirring human warfare from within.
Their conspiratorial efforts bore fruit as Atlantis Civilization vanished along with Mu Continent while believers in Atlantis’ historical faith upheld former oaths; history became irreversible—the remnants of all civilizations once existing were obliterated by countless neutron star bombs they launched into oblivion.
Earth fell silent again while Moon People had long learned lessons from these events—no matter how great conflicts arose both sides still adhered tacitly to an unwritten rule: “Do not employ destructive means in warfare.”
Yet despite this internal Humans' infiltration tactics proved effective repeatedly coupled with Atlantis Civilization’s technology alongside Ban Sa’s return suppressed Inner Beings unable even raise their heads—throughout lunar interiors internal Humans dominated various fields’ developments.
When internal Humans returned once more finding Mu Continent missing they resumed old tactics establishing their first observation station over fifth-generation Earth civilization—humans still only knew how to create fire through friction disregarding neighbors entirely focusing instead on cosmic horizons following Ban Sa’s will.
We have lived for thousands of years standing upon our ancestors' shoulders just like reincarnated children unaware of past hardships endured hoping those who view this documentary will remember our history: wars, natural disasters greed foreign infiltrations—we have experienced three out of four already—the last one remains unknown when it will begin but we—Song Mengxian and Song Ya'er—the new generation guardians of Earth's secrets do not wish for this to become humanity's final straw.
