The speed of the battle had noticeably increased. Taking advantage of the Skeleton Lord lifting its leg, Freyr seized the moment to strike down at the joint with a swift slash. The impact caused a sudden tremor, and as the other leg was raised, the Skeleton Lord lost its balance and fell backward. 0

A series of roars echoed through the air as Freyr descended from above, aiming directly for the chest. The sound of slicing air was deafening, followed by a heavy, mournful wail that resonated like the cry of a slaughtered beast. Despite the pain coursing through it, the Skeleton Lord accelerated its resistance. However, this meager increase in speed was no match for Freyr's onslaught. Meanwhile, two others were slowly making their way underground, inching closer. 0

Fortunately, the Skeleton Lord's attention was not on them; it was preoccupied with the relentless punches from the Phantom. Although its defensive stance appeared solid, resembling a barrel-like formation, it did little to deter one particular attacker. 0

The effectiveness of its defenses was painfully low; speed was paramount in martial arts. 0

Suddenly, another sharp strike came from behind. The Skeleton Lord swung its arms in a wide arc, creating a gust that swept through the area. Just as this force began to take shape, Freyr reappeared beneath it, delivering another cut aimed at the knee. The momentum had little effect. 0

Yet it was enough to push the Skeleton Lord closer to its target. After several more steps of struggle, their intentions aligned further; the Skeleton Lord moved as if it were a marionette dangling from a frayed string. 0

Before long, it reached its destination. One foot landed on the surface embedded with emeralds. The weight of that step did not cause any fractures in the emerald ore above. 0

“Give it to me,” Ross suddenly shouted as he pulled apart a rope binding a bundle of explosives. He activated a device nearby and unleashed a deadly arrow. 0

“Boom!” 0

The emerald layer shattered instantly. The heat generated startled the Skeleton Lord; just as it attempted to retreat, both legs sank into the emerald surface below. The outcome was inevitable—its lower body became deeply embedded. 0

Through that target point, no matter how it struggled, there was no escape from that pit. 0

The results were clear: while the Skeleton Lord tried to muster more strength, it found itself under attack from above by Phantoms wielding Dual Daggers. 0

“Double Dragon Meteor Slash!” 0

The assault was fierce and aimed at its head. This time, however, the creature seemed aware of the impending danger; it raised an arm to block. If the meteor slash disrupted its posture, it would lose much of its power. Thus, even if it didn't hit directly on target, the kinetic energy generated by that force would allow this move to be executed with devastating effect. 0

"Bang!" 0

The arm moved downward, almost pressing against the chest. Suddenly, Freyr was propelled into the air, influenced by the rebound force, landing back into the greasy pool of red liquid. 0

Then, under the influence of gravity, he plummeted rapidly from mid-air, crashing into the harder geological surface below. 0

His bones felt like they were about to shatter. With a dazed expression, he crawled out from the sunken area, his head buzzing as he realized how badly he had fallen. Blood began to trickle from his nose. 0

His condition was deteriorating. Meanwhile, on the other side, the two others were continuously pouring high-proof alcohol downwards. When the liquid met some flames, it ignited instantly, and a fierce fire erupted around the Skeleton Lord. 0

First, flames engulfed its upper body, and the entire skeletal head burned in the inferno. As this trend continued, they threw in a large amount of explosives. With feathers attached, they plunged them into the flames where they exploded. 0

This momentum indeed produced results; the previously burning upper body swelled even more. Just as they had suspected, there were metallic elements present. It resembled a Mechanical Gundam more than anything else. Under the continuous impact of the explosives, some parts finally cracked open during the explosions. 0

But such injuries were still far from enough. They then tossed in High-Explosive Bombs. After everything was emptied out, flames began to engulf its lower body as well. The emerald-green pit was starting to crack open, but the Skeleton Lord's legs became overheated and could not escape from the ground. 0

"This is an opportunity!" Duan Shuai shouted. 0

At close range, using a Submachine Gun was no longer effective. He pulled out a shotgun instead; this shotgun could penetrate steel within its range and even break through safes. In this situation, it would be a good attempt. 0

"Bang!" 0

A deafening sound erupted as shells ejected from the gun. Another shot followed, creating piercing holes in the creature's body. 0

However, that alone did not stop its movements. After Duan Shuai emptied his shotgun of bullets, he quickly backed away and watched from a distance as the skeleton thrashed violently on the ground below. 0

Black smoke continuously spewed outwards, accompanied by a metallic scent that wafted through the air—sharp and pungent. This odor spreading into the outside world would surely lead to a tragedy where birds would vanish from mountains and paths would be devoid of human presence. 0

The black mist lingered for over half an hour, and the flames continued to burn for many days. After a long time, the heat finally dissipated, revealing the figure of the Skeleton Lord emerging slowly from the darkness, his appearance utterly disfigured and covered in wounds, to the point where it was almost unbearable to look at. 0

"How tragic," someone remarked. 0

"Can he even survive like this? I really don't know if this situation is good or bad," another person chimed in. 0

They managed to reconnect with their shattered eardrums, temporarily restoring their hearing. 0

"Ha!" 0

At that moment, a shadow fell like a meteor, unnoticed by the crowd. A deep sound quickly echoed around them, followed by a noise resembling cracking bones. 0

The figure plummeted straight down, crashing into the ground like a falling star. His arms were swollen with veins, revealing deep crimson beneath. Adrenaline surged through him. 0

A momentum began to build as the shadow slightly collapsed into the pit, shaking its head in the darkness while gasping for breath. 0

"I thought I was going to fall." 0

The person struggled on the ground for a few moments, drenched in sweat. In reality, his stamina was nearly depleted. If he continued to push himself, he would likely exhaust his life energy—an unwise trade indeed. 0
