With a proactive strike, the next moment was a sweeping motion. 0

"Thud!" The spider's leg was severed with a powerful blow, echoing loudly. Good tilted his body slightly; in such a situation, one would typically react instinctively. However, Good only moved a step, and when the time was right, he sliced through the sharp spear that came at him with precision. 0

The spider, having lost its leg, could no longer move effectively. Its body trembled slightly as green liquid oozed from the wound, a corrosive acid that threatened to dissolve the very earth beneath it. Yet, this did not mean the spider had lost its ability to attack. 0

Good was acutely aware of the fable that warned against taking advantage of an opponent's weakness. The North Star Wolf Blade unfurled before him, its two-foot-long blade shimmering with brilliance. Despite its seemingly fragile appearance, a radiant aura enveloped the edge, vibrating as if it could snap at any moment. 0

The spider's mouth quivered before contracting, spewing forth a thick white liquid that cascaded like Mercury. Wherever it landed, hard rock and soil emitted a foul stench, akin to butter meeting intense heat—corruption was not an exaggeration; the white liquid melted everything in its path, creating a terrifying effect. 0

Holding the glowing North Star Wolf Blade high, the mysterious light bestowed upon Good an air of divine reverence. 0

As the white liquid approached, this time Good showed no mercy. He swung his blade swiftly; however, when the white liquid touched the edge, there were no signs of melting. Even as he was splattered with the viscous substance, he remained unfazed. Dragging the blade forward with a light step, he plunged the tip directly into the spider's hardened head. 0

With a muffled grunt, it cracked open like a massive watermelon, and from within the fissures burst forth dazzling golden light. 0

With the power of Ability Awakening, Good possessed a unique ability reminiscent of Ancient Osenyan's King's Sight. This allowed him to create a sense of distance between himself and others; as that distance increased, so did his inherent power. Additionally, he planted a prayer in his heart that amplified this effect several times over. 0

Once everything settled down, the expression on his face gradually faded back to neutrality. It was as if everything that had just transpired was unrelated to him. He glanced around and found that spider corpses lay scattered about; only a few meters away from Freyr, who was still deep in slumber, snoring audibly. 0

"Sleeping like a log!" Good muttered under his breath. 0

He quickly got to work burying the spider bodies and covering up the corrosive pits with dirt—all done without Freyr being any wiser. 0

When everything returned to normalcy, he resumed his place on the rock to await the dawn. 0

The morning light shone down on Freyr, who had slept for nearly six hours. After continuous training, it was difficult for him to fully restore his energy, but he still felt physically capable since he hadn't exerted himself too much. Even a little recovery was better than none. 0

In his current state, his awareness sharpened every six hours. His biological clock had developed a routine that allowed him to live his days with structure; he didn't need anyone to remind him. He could exercise on time, and the regularity of his biological clock had improved his physical condition significantly compared to his past life. 0

"Mm!!" 0

He felt the sunlight warming his back. 0

Opening his eyes, he immediately noticed the blinding light overhead had risen high in the sky. By the time he realized it was no longer morning but midday, he understood why he felt a bit overheated. 0

"Humph!" 0

A cold, disdainful voice suddenly broke the silence. 0

Turning his head, he saw a figure sitting cross-legged on a rock, unmoving. The solitary eye, sunken and desolate, stared directly at him. After a moment, Good spoke up, "Awake? Go wash your face; don't forget you have important matters to attend to." 0

"Ah, sorry! I'll be right back." 0

He quickly scrambled to his feet, fully aware that his new master despised lazy and unmotivated disciples. While a foolish bird might fly early, some slow-witted individuals could surpass those who were naturally gifted through hard work and perseverance. In contrast, those who were lazy and complacent would find it impossible to change their ways once that foundation was laid. 0

He bowed deeply and then stumbled out hurriedly. 0

Good wouldn’t wake him up; Good knew that forcing someone to train was futile. Only when individuals understood their own goals would they subconsciously strive to achieve them. 0

In such moments, the depths of one's inner solitude can truly be revealed. 0

Freyr quickly washed his face and returned to the place where he had been training, only to discover that the spot where he had slept last night had unknowingly formed an uneven indentation. Not long ago, he had been unaware of how uneven the ground was here. 0

There was no use in overthinking it. He sat down and continued to push his senses to their limits. However, his curiosity quickly led him to realize that his senses were much clearer than yesterday, flowing unexpectedly smoothly. Whether it was comparing his own insights or perceiving subtle changes in the environment, he felt as if he could vaguely sense some things. 0

Even so, he sensed that there was still a bit of ambiguity in the direction he needed to take. To become clearer, he had to continue pushing his senses to their utmost. Although this would be exhausting, failing to do so would mean remaining stagnant, wasting time without any progress. 0

Time was already limited. Although this approach was risky, with no one to help him, he had no choice but to confront the challenges himself. The practical significance of solving problems on his own was far greater. 0

As he expanded his senses to their peak once again, they became extremely sharp. Besides the sound of his own heartbeat, he could also detect a heartbeat not far away from him. Even if he were blind, he felt that he could survive better in complete darkness. 0

Since he began training yesterday and amplified his senses to their limits, the earlier discomfort had vanished. Enduring a little longer was a form of grueling training for him, but he understood that this level of intensity was still insufficient. Perhaps it would take some more time before he could proceed to the next stage of training; at that point, his strength would see significant improvement. 0

He looked at Freyr with a sense of relief and thought for a long time: "It seems like the worst is over. I hope he understands that relying on others is futile; it's all about what he wants and how he defines his future." 0

Freyr, of course, was unaware of what others were thinking at that moment. He remained seated alone, his expression shifting from surprise to disbelief. 0

"What’s going on? Why is this Ultimate taking so long this time?" Freyr felt frustrated yet curious about how much longer he could maintain this state. The headwind had long passed; now, he wouldn’t be on constant alert like before, ready to control the sharpness of his senses to observe everything around him at any moment. 0
