The doctor took the elegantly packaged pill box and placed it on the table. As he opened the box, he couldn't help but gasp in surprise. 0

With exceptional discernment in the field of genetics, he recognized the Gene Pill as a brilliant red, a product of superior quality. 0

"Oh my, this is truly unexpected. I never thought I would encounter such a rare pill in my lifetime," the doctor exclaimed excitedly, running his hands through his hair. He turned around and removed his lab coat, saying, "Alright, you can go now. Don't come back for two hours. If anything goes wrong, he might die." 0

Hearing that he might die, Wu Hua stirred from his hazy consciousness and forced a laugh. Grabbing the wrist of the departing figure weakly, he said, "If there's a chance that I survive, I'll consider your team. If I don't make it, you'll have to find someone else." 0

"Don't worry; I won't let the doctor give up on you. He's betting his entire medical career on this. He will definitely be able to cure your illness," Freyr replied, gently releasing Wu Hua's wrist and placing it back on the bed. 0

The doctor paused for a moment, scratching his balding head in confusion. "It's strange; there are still people who can regain consciousness after being under three times the dosage of anesthetics. In all my years of practice, I've never encountered someone so peculiar." 0

"I'll be going now." 0

As he reached the door and slightly closed it behind him, he noticed the doctor had already tilted his head back and taken several swigs from a bottle of cloudy liquor. Freyr chose not to look any further and stepped outside for a walk. 0

Back at his apartment, he pulled out all the materials and returned to the medical center to handle matters regarding team members. 0

He had already made up his mind; along with himself, the team would need Xiong Tai, Relock, and Wu Hua, who was still receiving treatment. He hadn't decided on the remaining two members yet and planned to sift through candidates from the selection list later. If none caught his eye, he would recruit new members during future missions. 0

However, that was easier said than done. When he went to Wanderer's Home to retrieve all participants' lists, it wasn't just about names; there were pages upon pages of basic information—over ten pages long—complete with clear photographs resembling mugshots from a prison: frontal views, side profiles, height measurements, assessments of each Examiner's abilities, and detailed notes written clearly. 0

In a Hunter Team, the most crucial configuration was that of the leader or Commander. A well-developed mind capable of creating psychic shields and specialized sensors was the best partner. This way, they could navigate without maps; even advanced tracking devices struggled to keep up with what could be sensed by the psychic's reach. 0

A powerful fire support position can partner with a Cannon or explosives. Such heavy firepower is a rare type that requires significant strength. A strong sniper, like Froth, was an excellent marksman. However, among the comrades currently serving in the military camp, he lacked the courage to return and recruit anyone. Therefore, the idea of sticking with the same partners could be dismissed. There were only five spots in the team, and the roles considered were all aimed at maximizing safety during a complete team mission. 0

An assassin can track, hide, gather intelligence, and take the initiative during bodyguard missions. 0

Additionally, there needs to be a strategist present. Although Freyr believed his intelligence was quite prominent, when it came to analyzing problems, he often found himself stuck in logical dead ends. The biggest bottom line when recruiting members was that he couldn't accept anyone with low IQ into the team. 0

After observing for a long time, he realized that truly useful talents were scarce. Feeling disheartened, he decided to take a walk in the medical center and ordered a drink to calm down while contemplating future paths. 0

However, while he was lost in thought, he noticed a crowd gathered around discussing something animatedly. 0

As he approached, he saw two people at the center of attention. Their expressions looked somewhat terrifying; one had a bulging head and was staring at images of dragons and phoenixes, appearing far from innocent. 0

The two began to argue. 0

"You loudmouth! Always shouting and making noise! Eating so much like a bottomless pit! I'm here to set things straight: if you don't quiet down, don't blame me for losing my temper." 0

Upon hearing this, the other person burst into laughter. "Lose your temper? I'm not afraid! I didn't eat your food; I’m just enjoying my own hospital meal. Nurse Sister likes me and gives me extra—are you jealous?" 0

"Nonsense! You clearly took my meat while I was in the restroom! Being sick is hard enough without you doing this." 0

"Hey, I was helping you out! I noticed you keep having hemorrhoids, so I thought I'd relieve some pressure for you. Eating too much meat isn't good for digestion anyway, so I took it off your hands." 0

"Ugh! You really let it slip! Even so, that doesn't excuse your shameless beastly behavior." 0

The noise was unbearable, and the doctors and nurses at the Recovery Center seemed to notice that something was off. With so many patients gathered, they could only watch as two individuals exchanged heated words. One of the nurses hurriedly pulled out an oversized syringe, declaring, "If you keep arguing, I'll take you out for an injection." The sight of the massive syringe, resembling a mortar, sent the patients fleeing in panic. 0

Those who ran slowly were pushed into the ward by their family members called over by the nurse. As for the two arguing, one of them was a former Professional Hunter who had been shot in the backside during a mission. Despite his seemingly respectable appearance, he had a mouth that could rival that of a street thug. The other person, clad in a hospital gown, was unable to hide his muscular build beneath it. He wore a mischievous grin and told his roommate not to believe anything he said. 0

Once Freyr recognized him, he hid in the corner, too afraid to reveal himself. This man was Xiong Tai. It seemed Xiong Tai's condition was somewhat better; half of the bandages on his face had been removed. However, his voice and demeanor were unmistakable—he was willing to go to great lengths for food. 0

After some commotion, a seasoned Senior Nurse arrived specifically to take care of him. 0

It appeared that the entire Recovery Center had placed Xiong Tai on their watchlist as a wanted person, always assigning the best nurses to keep an eye on him. The meals provided were carefully portioned with essential nutrients; they were hardly appetizing, and there was no chance of eating to one's heart's content. 0

As Xiong Tai was wheeled into the elevator by the Senior Nurse, Freyr slowly emerged from the corridor behind. 0

If it weren't for friends who understood his temperament and character, no one would imagine that such a person could be a core asset to a team. 0
