Zhao Yang cleared his throat a couple of times, estimating that Long Xiao Wu was once again recalling the scene from the night they killed Han Hai. He feigned seriousness and said, "Xiao Wu, you must keep your thoughts healthy. Don't spend all day thinking about filthy things; over time, it can have a negative impact on your mental and physical development." 0

"You’re the one with filthy thoughts!" Long Xiao Wu retorted, feeling frustrated. "How shameless." 0

"Uh..." Zhao Yang rolled his eyes and jumped to the edge of the Fish Pond, taking a deep breath as if he were about to dive into the water. 0

"Wait a minute, are you trying to commit suicide? You saw how deep this water is; who knows what might be lurking down there?" Scholar Xiu said with concern. 0

"If there really is a big Essence Stone down there, you better split it in half for me when you make a big bed out of it," Long Xiao Wu said nonchalantly, showing no signs of worry. 0

Zhao Yang looked at Long Xiao Wu with disdain and handed one end of the rope to them, his face serious. "When I go down, if the rope shakes, you must pull it quickly. Otherwise, I might just end up drowning because of you two. There's a saying: it's not scary to face an opponent like a god; what's truly frightening is having teammates like pigs." 0

The two fell silent, realizing that Zhao Yang was taking a risk alone, which made them feel tense as well. After hesitating for a while, Zhao Yang finally turned around awkwardly and said, "How about one of you come down with me? It's dark and cold down there; I'm a bit scared." 0

"Go die!" Long Xiao Wu kicked Zhao Yang into the water. With a splash, he sent up a wave, and then the surface of the water settled back into calmness. 0

Long Xiao Wu and Scholar Xiu hurriedly leaned over the water's edge, gripping the hemp rope tightly. A few breaths later, Zhao Yang emerged from the water, his lips slightly blue from the cold temperature below. 0

"How is it?" Long Xiao Wu and Scholar Xiu asked anxiously. 0

"It's no good; I can't see anything. It's too dark down there. However, I can faintly see some light underwater. Does anyone have a glowing Crystal or something else that can illuminate?" Zhao Yang wiped the water off his face. 0

"I only have a family heirloom jade that can glow, but its light is too dim," Scholar Xiu said as he took off a piece of pale blue round jade from his waist. 0

Long Xiao Wu hesitated for a moment upon hearing this. Considering that there might indeed be dangers underwater, he opened his mouth and spat out a large, brilliantly glowing pearl that appeared in his hand. He gently tossed it to Zhao Yang, a hint of reluctance in his voice as he said, "Use it and return it to me. Don't lose it." 0

Scholar Xiu looked on with exaggerated surprise as Long Xiao Wu produced such a large pearl from his mouth. Zhao Yang was equally astonished; upon receiving the pearl, he felt an overwhelming urge to consume it. The pearl contained a mysterious power, and for some reason, he sensed that it was somehow connected to Long Xiao Wu. He also felt the familiarity that Long Xiao Wu had mentioned earlier about being in the water. 0

Zhao Yang understood that Long Xiao Wu had given him a precious treasure and gave him an "OK" gesture before diving into the water. 0

Once submerged, Zhao Yang immediately activated the Water Avoidance Technique taught to him by his master, Sun Wukong. As he used the technique, a layer of water-like protective coating appeared around his body. He took a moment to calm his nerves and attempted to breathe, slowly exhaling and inhaling. Initially, he choked on some water due to breathing too forcefully through his nose, but he gradually adapted. Aside from feeling slightly tight in the chest, he experienced no further discomfort. 0

Overjoyed, Zhao Yang began dancing in the water. During the three years he spent learning from Sun Wukong, their bond deepened significantly. Sun Wukong developed a profound affection for Zhao Yang as his disciple. Although he ultimately did not pass on the Seventy-Two Transformations to Zhao Yang, he did teach him several small techniques that would be useful, one of which was the Water Avoidance Technique. These minor spells were easy for Zhao Yang to grasp after just one explanation from Sun Wukong, which filled Sun Wukong with satisfaction. If not for the Chaotic Root planted within Zhao Yang's body being unsuitable for this world’s development—potentially slowing down his cultivation speed—Sun Wukong would have been eager to impart all his knowledge. 0

Zhao Yang excitedly danced deeper into the water until he reached a depth of thirty meters. The surroundings became increasingly unclear, but he could vaguely see some dim lights beneath the water. He spread his fingers and exposed the mysterious pearl borrowed from Long Xiao Wu to the water; instantly, everything within a thirty-meter radius became crystal clear to him. Strangely enough, not a single fish or shrimp was in sight. 0

"I knew it! There’s definitely something special here. I didn’t expect the Fish Pond to have its own space; I can’t even see the bottom," Zhao Yang exclaimed in awe while gazing at the unseen underwater world ahead of him. A sense of trepidation lingered in his heart as he quickly swam toward the hundred-meter rope tied to the Lamb. 0

As he descended to a hundred meters deep, he could distinctly feel his breathing becoming labored. Despite his strong physique, the pressure underwater was immense and exerted great stress on his meridians; prolonged exposure would inevitably lead to unbearable pain or even rupture. 0

Zhao Yang arrived at the deformed Lamb before him and looked at the shimmering light on the nearby underwater rock wall. Taking a deep breath, he decided to plunge deeper all at once. He gathered Chaos True Qi from his Dantian into his palm, intending to push off from above for downward momentum. However, unexpectedly, the brilliantly glowing pearl in his hand seemed to gain consciousness through the infusion of chaotic energy and pulled Zhao Yang down toward the bottom at an incredible speed—so fast that he didn’t dare open his eyes. 0

"What’s going on?" Zhao Yang cursed inwardly in panic as he felt like he was being dragged into reincarnation by the pearl; no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t stop himself. 0

With a thud, Zhao Yang landed awkwardly on solid ground beneath him and realized that what he stood on felt extraordinarily hard. Confused, he thought that logically speaking, the bottom of this Fish Pond should be muddy; how could it be as hard as iron? Remembering that the stone tablet above indicated that this Fish Pond had existed for over ten thousand years, even if there were hard slabs beneath it should have accumulated some underwater material over time. 0

Lost in thought, he suddenly noticed that not far away, the pearl emitted an even more intense glow—so dazzling that it left Zhao Yang momentarily dazed. Struggling against immense pressure, he approached the pearl intending to observe his surroundings better. However, as soon as his hand touched it, it felt as if it had glued itself to him; unrefined Spirit Energy surged into the pearl as if drawn by some unseen force. To his shock, it seemed like the pearl was embedded in something and was voraciously absorbing Spirit Energy like a whale gulping down water—it expanded noticeably in an instant. 0

Zhao Yang couldn't help but use the little Chaos True Qi left in his body to try and shake off the orb. However, he never expected that as soon as the Chaos True Qi made contact with the orb, the Spirit Energy it had absorbed would start pouring into Zhao Yang's body like a torrent. 0

"What the hell is going on?!" Zhao Yang was terrified by this orb. He had only wanted to ask Long Xiao Wu for a light-emitting orb, but this one was far too sinister. The immense Spirit Energy flooding into him expanded his meridians significantly. Within moments, his entire body was filled with Spirit Energy, even causing it to burst forth from his pores. Zhao Yang felt a tingling sensation in his throat, and as he opened his mouth, he spat out a stream of dark, foul blood. Layers of black filth began to emerge from his pores as well. The Spirit Energy within him had accumulated to such an extent that it was cleansing his blood and purging his meridians. 0
