A thousand years ago, Dharma entered the Central Plains, spreading teachings and enlightening the people. Ultimately, it achieved Buddhahood, ascending to the Pure Land and becoming the true embodiment of Buddha, establishing the first generation of Zen Buddhism and attaining the eternal and indestructible Zen Bodhisattva. 0

The Zen Bodhisattva is immortal, passed down through generations. Every child chosen by the Zen Bodhisattva is a reincarnated Living Buddha from birth. They are secretly nurtured by the Buddhist Sect's great masters until they possess enough strength to protect themselves. 0

Each generation of Zen Buddhism produces top-tier experts within the Buddhist Sect. Once they enter the Tribulation Realm, they become invincible beings. 0

In the early years of the Tang Dynasty, Zen Buddhism was passed down to Tripitaka. Tripitaka devoted his life to saving all beings, unwilling to kill. After reaching Nirvana, before the Zen Bodhisattva could reincarnate, one of his disciples used secret techniques to steal him away. This disciple ultimately cultivated into a being that combined both Buddha and demon, calling himself Emperor Tathagata, stirring up chaos and bloodshed. 0

The Daoist Sect and the followers of Buddhism joined forces to slay Emperor Tathagata. After his death, he transformed into a vengeful spirit. The Zen Bodhisattva did not immediately reincarnate but continued to reside within Emperor Tathagata's body, leading to the later emergence of the dreaded Demon Tathagata. 0

Demon Tathagata was immensely powerful, having killed countless experts from both the Daoist Sect and Buddhist Sect. Eventually, due to prolonged invasion by Ghostly Energy, his movements became slow and stiff, leading to his demise at the hands of a rising Dao Sovereign, thus ending his dark reign. 0

Few records about Demon Tathagata exist within the Daoist Sect; however, Buddhist Sect texts frequently mention him. Each generation of Zen Buddhism could potentially undergo transformation. If Zen Buddhism is disturbed by Evil Energy, it must be eradicated promptly to allow for timely reincarnation of the Zen Bodhisattva; otherwise, future troubles would be endless. 0

With thoughts of killing arising, all beings perish. The power of Zen Buddhism, fueled by faith, is unfathomable; no one can subdue it—this is the price of immense strength. 0

Douding was born during Dark Turmoil. At that time, Master Xu Yun had just reached Nirvana. After Nirvana, his body formed a Seven-Colored Relic that suppressed the Zen Bodhisattva. The chosen Living Buddha must find this relic to achieve true Buddhahood. 0

However, the Seven-Colored Relic was stolen by an elder from the Serpent Cult. If Douding were to die, the Zen Bodhisattva would reincarnate anew and would be discovered immediately by whoever possessed the Seven-Colored Relic. To prevent disaster, Master Hongyi sealed newborn Douding within the Ten Thousand Buddha Grotto, bestowing upon him lifelong Buddhist power to sustain him. After Hongyi's Nirvana, his disciple Withered Sea protected Douding for several decades until he was ultimately killed eleven years ago while investigating the theft of the Seven-Colored Relic by Nangong Yun. 0

Though young in age, Douding inherited unparalleled Buddhist teachings from three generations of leaders within the Buddhist Sect. The Zen Bodhisattva within him had been eager to break free from confinement for three hundred years. No one anticipated that Douding, devoid of any Buddhist power, could crush a Relic comparable to Dao Tools with his bare hands or that during the awakening ritual of the Zen Bodhisattva he would backlash against generations of indestructible Golden Body from Zen Buddhism. He broke free from the constraints of the Seven-Colored Relic and momentarily possessed immense Buddhist power, slaying White Snake and killing Supreme beings while slaughtering countless lives. 0

Among those in the Daoist Sect, most are solitary individuals devoid of compassion or loyalty. Because of this nature, whether in familial bonds or friendships or love, once obtained they cherish it deeply. The death of Chang Liulang filled Douding with anger and despair; with thoughts of vengeance ignited, he disregarded everything—even if it meant becoming a demon. 0

I stood atop a temple overlooking windswept yellow sands as the sun dipped lower in the sky; my heart was as calm as water. 0

Suddenly, with a creak, the door swung open and Douding stepped out from within. He looked at me with confusion in his eyes and asked, "Brother Yang Hao, I have killed many people; I remember them all." 0

A golden lotus mark formed on Douding's forehead; it glowed brightly as a different light shone in his eyes. He lightly leaped beside me and asked, "Brother Yang Hao, have I become a demon? Will you kill me?" 0

I looked at Douding and shook my head. "Brother Yang Hao will never confront you with weapons—whether you become a Buddha or fall into darkness." 0

"Douding," I said, "let's make a pact." 0

Soon, the crowd from Leiyin Temple gathered around, their faces filled with fear. The Sky Master and Haideng also arrived, while the Three Great Monks descended, landing above the Temple. 0

"Shanxin, it's so good to see you awake," Master Hai Deng said, his face showing joy. 0

Douding called out to the master and hid behind me, looking terrified at the hostile expressions of those below. 0

Haikong said, "Shanxin, you have now become a true Buddha body, but your cultivation level hasn't caught up. You could be overpowered and controlled by Zen Bodhisattva's immense power at any moment. Come down and let the Three Divine Monks help seal or extract Zen Bodhisattva." 0

Douding shook his head, hiding behind me. I replied, "Sky Master, I have already examined Douding's body and found that Zen Bodhisattva has become his Primordial Spirit. This means Zen Bodhisattva no longer exists; from now on, Douding is the last generation of Zen Buddhism. If you extract his Primordial Spirit, it would be equivalent to killing him. Furthermore, even if you could extract it, he would likely not be able to reincarnate like Zen Bodhisattva did before." 0

"Even if Hai Kong and Benefactor Yang Hao are correct, Shanxin is still one of us from Leiyin Temple. For his safety, we should seal the excessive power within him to prevent any further uncontrollable violence," the Sky Master said. 0

I looked at Douding to seek his opinion; he shook his head. 0

I continued, "Since Douding is unwilling, there is no need for all of you masters to intervene. I will keep him by my side during this time. I have some knowledge of sealing techniques and will ensure he does not harm others." 0

"Doesn't Master Ku Xin think he is meddling a bit too much?" Master Ku Xin said with some dissatisfaction. 0

I replied, "If I were meddling too much, I wouldn't be discussing this with all of you right now. Douding is a disciple of Qingliang Temple; now that Zen Bodhisattva has been eradicated from within him, he still belongs to Qingliang Temple. My mentor is Mr. Chang from Qingliang Temple and a fellow disciple of Douding. Therefore, you cannot force him into something he does not want. His life or death is his own choice; no one else can decide that." 0

Master Ku Xin snorted and said, "Yang Hao has truly grown bold. Even your father Yang Sanqian wouldn't dare speak so arrogantly in front of me. If it weren't for the friendship between your father and Leiyin Temple, your words alone would warrant punishment!" 0

I looked at Master Ku Xin with pale lips and said, "It seems Master Ku Xin is underestimating my youth; perhaps we should let Master Ku Xin try punishing me." 0

"Junior brother, do not act impulsively; he wields an Evil Weapon that could injure even the Supreme," Master Drywood reminded. 0

"It’s fine; even a Divine Weapon's strength depends on who wields it," Master Ku Xin retorted. He joined his hands together in prayer; his robe fluttered without wind as circles of Buddhist Chant radiated around him. A phantom of a great Buddha materialized above Leiyin Temple, glaring down with fierce eyes as a massive hand descended suddenly. 0

Douding clenched his fists as the Tai Xu Ling around him swirled. I blocked Douding and looked at Master Ku Xin who had made the move; the light of day and moon flickered in my eyes. The void tore apart as Master Ku Xin's eyes widened in rage; he was nearly pulled into a chaotic current as the Buddha's hand stopped just three zhang away from us. 0

I said, "Master Ku Xin, this is Leiyin Temple. Don't accidentally tear down the entire temple; you don't need to get involved in repairing the buildings anyway." 0

"You!" Master Ku Xin's face turned furious. 0

"Amitabha," Withered Leaf Master chanted softly. He looked at me and said, "Hai Kong, Benefactor Yang Hao, truly lives up to the reputation of an extraordinary talent who comprehends the Dao. You can see through the true and false of the Buddhist Sect's miraculous skills at a glance. If you can live to the Mahayana Realm, you could indeed battle with the Supreme." 0

"Withered Leaf Master, you flatter me. As a dying man, I only wish to do some things I want before I pass. I've taken Douding with me; once the Demonic Energy within him dissipates, someone will naturally bring him back." I said, turning to Yunxi, "Yunxi, let's go." 0

Yunxi nodded and led Douding behind me. Douding turned back and shouted into the temple, "Big Cat, we're leaving!" 0

Upon hearing Douding's call, Qiongqi roared and jumped out from the Zen Temple. 0

"By the way, I've noticed that you've been calling Douding by his Dharma name all this time without him responding. If he doesn't wish to accept it, then from now on he shall be called Douding; he can change it whenever he wants." My voice carried to everyone in Leiyin Temple. 0

An Old Monk was furious and said, "The kindness has turned reckless because of associating with such a person. This Yang Hao is the real demon; when he entered our Leiyin Temple, he killed someone without a second thought. We didn't hold him accountable, yet he has become even more audacious!" 0

Master Ku Xin asked, "Are we just going to let them leave like this?" 0

Withered Leaf Master sighed and replied, "What else can we do?" 0

A few miles away, three people and one beast were walking away when Qiongqi suddenly roared and sniffed the air. Douding turned to Qiongqi and asked, "Big Cat, what's wrong?" 0

Qiongqi's eyes sparkled with a different light as it communicated with Douding mentally. Douding looked at me and said, "Big Cat smells the fragrance of Dragon Fruit. Years ago, Big Cat's parents were lured away by the scent of Dragon Fruit and never returned." 0

"Oh no! Pao Pao went out during the white bubbles phase and hasn't come back yet. Qiongqi, quickly follow the scent to find where the Dragon Fruit is coming from," I urged. 0

Qiongqi lowered itself to signal us to ride on its back. Then it galloped forward in a certain direction. Moments later, we arrived at a sandy gully where enormous spirit stones were buried beneath layers of sand, and there was a pool of blood at the bottom of the gully. 0

"Someone has set up a formation here; are they trying to capture Pao Pao?" Yunxi wondered. 0

I took out the Zhou Compass and reversed time by half an hour. I saw a beast rushing excitedly from the direction of Leiyin Temple, directly diving into the formation. It grabbed a floating crimson fruit and began to gnaw on it. The formation activated, unleashing countless black arrows toward the beast. The beast sensed danger and dodged repeatedly before swallowing the Dragon Fruit whole. Then it cautiously scanned its surroundings as an old man appeared outside the formation holding seven black long nails. 0

The old man was Yang Xuanzong. 0

Upon seeing Yang Xuanzong, the beast displayed an angry expression. It leaped into the air, attempting to escape, but crashed headfirst into the barrier of the formation and fell to the ground. 0

The beast cried out in despair; the formation isolated everything. No matter how it charged around inside, it could not find a way out. The Yang Family was skilled in Void Techniques and had considerable knowledge of spatial jumps within formations. Escaping from the Yang Family's spatial barrier was extremely difficult. The beast did not understand Daoist Arts, and relying solely on its yet-to-awaken Divine Ability made it hard to contend with. 0

Yang Xuanzong sneered and said, "Hand over your Holy Herb Garden to me, and I will let you go." 0

The beast clenched its fists, glaring fiercely at Yang Xuanzong. 0

With a snort, Yang Xuanzong threw seven black long nails into the formation, which swiftly burrowed in and pursued the beast. 0

The beast dodged left and right at first, managing to evade easily, but soon its speed began to wane. One of the black nails suddenly sliced through the beast's front paw. It let out a miserable cry as blood dripped down. Covering its wound, it hid to the side and emitted a cat-like hiss in defiance towards Yang Xuanzong. 0

Yang Xuanzong remarked, "Unaware of your own mortality, Old Man will send you off to the West!" 0
