"How did you know?" Yang Sanqian asked. 0

I didn't know how it happened, but I truly felt the situation in my dreams. I experienced Douding's pain as if my soul was being torn apart. 0

Yunxi frowned and said, "I once left Water Linglong's Spirit Energy within Douding, so I can vaguely sense Douding's life condition, which seems very weak right now." 0

"With the Way of Power backing me, my Time Walk has reached great mastery; I can cover a thousand miles in a single step. If we go now, the one attacking should be Nangong Yun. That old rascal must have obtained the Seven-Colored Relic and is currently injured by an Evil Weapon. He surely wants to seize Douding's Zen Bodhisattva," I said. 0

"No, Hao, you just woke up, and your body hasn't recovered yet. Using Void Daoist Arts over such a long distance, even with Time Walk, will cause your Injury of the Dao to flare up. If anything happens to you again, no one will be able to save you!" Yang Sanqian warned. 0

Guo Daozhen added, "We've sealed your Injury of the Dao for now; it won't flare up in a short time. You can focus on understanding the Dao and quickly step into the Tribulation Realm. There might still be a Ray of Hope." 0

"Hao, why don't you stay here? Just tell us the exact location, and we'll go rescue Douding," Jiyao suggested. 0

I replied, "By the time you get there, it will already be too late." 0

I was about to head out when Huzi tried to stop me. I shook him off, and Yang Sanqian said, "If your Injury of the Dao flares up again, the only one who can save you is your mother. She is the only one who has cultivated Renewal of Withered Trees to the Mahayana Realm." 0

I paused and glanced at Jiyao, whose face was pale and breath weak, clenching my fists. 0

Six thousand miles away in the Dunhuang Desert, Master Hai Deng, even with one of the Eight Sacred Artifacts of the Taoist Sect—the Eternal Light Lamp—protecting him, was no match for the Divine Serpent Sect's Old Supreme and their leader. Hearing Douding's cries, he roared angrily, "If you have the ability to take Old Man's Golden Body, why must you treat a child like this?" 0

"That depends on whether you're qualified enough," Nangong Lin retorted. 0

Douding's cries soon attracted many from the Buddhist Sect. Haikong supported bringing all his disciples along as Three Great Monks tore through the void to descend. 0

"Release Douding now!" Chang Liulang shouted. 0

Haikong said, "Amitabha, Nangong, you harmed my Buddhist Sect disciple months ago, nearly killing Shanshin, and then you stormed into my Leiyin Temple to rescue Meng Xuanjian. I could overlook this, but why now? Are you truly trying to provoke a feud between my Buddhist Sect and the Daoist Sect? Do you wish for us to be irreconcilable?" 0

Nangong Yun glanced at Haikong and replied, "Bald donkey, I merely want to remove the excess from his body. Don't you think it's too dangerous for the Zen Bodhisattva to be inside a child who knows nothing of Daoist Arts?" 0

"Without someone like you, how would he be in danger?" Chang Liulang roared. 0

Withered Leaf from the Three Great Monks said, "Amitabha, Nangong Yun, you should stop at once. The Daoist Catastrophe has arrived; my Buddhist Sect does not wish to partake in this conflict. Please show mercy and release Shanshin." 0

Nangong Yun laughed heartily as Dao Qi flowed into the Seven-Colored Relic. He suddenly yanked back, pulling the Zen Bodhisattva out of Douding's body. Douding convulsed, trembling and bleeding from his eyes. "Brother, where are you? I can't see you!" 0

"Douding, I'm here!" Chang Liulang shouted as he rushed toward the Serpent Cult members. Two disciples from Leiyin Temple blocked his path. 0

"Liulang, don't go! You'll lose your life!" 0

"If my junior brother loses his life, what are you still talking about?" Chang Liulang broke free from the two Leiyin Temple disciples and ran toward Douding. 0

Among the Serpent Cult members, Douding's life force was dissipating. Nangong Lin allowed Chang Liulang to enter. Chang Liulang picked up Douding and looked at the Supreme of the Divine Serpent Sect, Nangong Yun, with red eyes. "Weren't you supposed to only take the Golden Body and spare his life? Why is his life essence fading away?" 0

Nangong Yun raised an eyebrow and glanced at Chang Liulang. "Who is this person? This era is truly different; even cats and dogs can confront a Supreme without any sense of reverence." 0

Chang Liulang retorted, "What if you are a Supreme? You are still a mortal who lives by harming others and will ultimately be despised by people." 0

“Oh?” Nangong Yun said. “It seems you are not from the Buddhist Sect. Which school do you belong to?” 0

Chang Liulang replied, “Qingliang Temple, as the saying goes.” 0

“Ah, so you are a disciple of Chang Xi,” Nangong Yun remarked. “Chang Xi and I are of the same generation, but unfortunately, he is rather stubborn and often talks about the common people. He died early; go on, I won’t kill you.” 0

Chang Liulang wiped his tears, his voice trembling as he said, “Senior brother, I’m so cold.” 0

Chang Liulang responded, “I’ll take you home.” 0

The crowd parted to make way as Chang Liulang carried Douding toward Leiyin Temple. However, just a few steps in, he was pierced through the heart by Nangong Lin’s sword. 0

Chang Liulang knelt down in silence, frowning as he placed Douding on the ground. Blood splattered onto Douding’s body, and he felt the blood from Chang Liulang. He could hear Chang Liulang’s heavy breathing and the sound of his painful restraint. 0

Chang Liulang murmured, “In the end, one cannot escape fate.” 0

Master Hai Deng stumbled and shouted, “Haikong, what are you waiting for?!” 0

Sea and Sky Master hesitated, glancing at the Three Great Monks above the dune. The leader, Withered Leaf Master, pressed his palms together and said, “Amitabha. Since the Serpent Cult is obstinate and has taken my Buddhist Sect’s Zen Bodhisattva and killed my disciples, today we shall use all the power of the temple to eradicate this evil cult!” 0

“Do you think a few bald monks like you can do anything to Old Man? It’s simply a fool's dream!” Nangong Yun scoffed as his vital points lit up. He began chanting incantations that spiraled toward the Zen Bodhisattva standing before him. 0

The Three Divine Monks exchanged glances before simultaneously flying toward Nangong Yun. The members of the Serpent Cult drew their swords as the Three Divine Monks radiated with brilliant Buddhist light, sending everyone flying back before striking a palm toward Nangong Yun. 0

In another location, Sky Master also took action, engaging in battle with Nangong, and a fierce conflict was about to erupt as the Leiyin Temple and Serpent Cult members clashed together. 0

The disciples of Leiyin Temple had not practiced their Buddhist skills for many years, with only a few possessing the exceptional power marked by the Buddha seal on their foreheads. They could barely hold their ground against the remaining Elders of the Serpent Cult. Haikong and Haideng were both at the early stage of the Mahayana Realm, while Nangong was at the late stage, resulting in a stalemate. Although Haideng was protected by the Bright Lamp, he was severely injured, and Nangong steadily suppressed both of them. 0

In the arena, Withered Leaf, Dead Tree, and Withered Heart, known as the Three Divine Monks, attacked Supreme Nangong Yun together. Nangong Yun spread his arms wide as the True Fire of Taiyi erupted violently, pushing the three away. Shuttle darted around the battlefield, launching surprise attacks on the Three Divine Monks while Nangong Yun chanted incantations directed at Zen Bodhisattva, preparing for a fusion that would occur in no time. 0

"Rise!" Dead Tree recited a Buddhist mantra, causing a thicket of Dead Trees to sprout beneath Nangong Yun's feet. The True Fire of Taiyi ignited the Dead Trees, infuriating Nangong Yun. He had no choice but to use Dao patterns to stabilize the unclaimed Zen Bodhisattva and leap aside. 0

Withered Leaf Master raised his palm to his chest and recited a Buddhist chant. The shadow of Withered Leaf swirled around him like a rift in the void, forcing Nangong Yun to summon Shuttle back for protection. 0

Master Ku Xin seized the opportunity presented by a gap in Nangong Yun's defenses. A phantom hand reached through the protective layer of True Fire of Taiyi and suddenly squeezed. Nangong Yun clutched his heart, spitting blood as he glared at Master Ku Xin. In a fit of rage, he unleashed a powerful palm strike that shattered the void. The Desert erupted in clouds of dust and shockwaves that rippled across the land. 0

Withered Heart was sent flying by a single strike, his frail body immediately spitting blood from severe injury as Buddhist energy surged to heal him. 0

Nangong Yun chanted an incantation while Shuttle flew overhead to protect his physical form. A Light Shadow emerged from within him, radiating an overwhelming Dao Qi that sent yellow sand flying and created an intimidating aura. 0

Nangong Yun forcefully integrated Zen Bodhisattva into his own body before returning his Dao Body. His shattered heart reassembled rapidly, restoring his physique in no time. In just a moment, Nangong Yun's once white hair turned grayish-white, many wrinkles on his face faded away, and he quickly regained strength as wounds inflicted by Evil Weapons began to heal. 0

Nangong Yun laughed heartily as he swallowed the Seven-Colored Relic in his hand. "Finally obtained Zen Bodhisattva! From now on, I, Nangong Yun, shall be the immortal and indomitable overlord! I will make you all submit; let’s start with you bald donkeys!" 0

Just as Nangong Yun prepared to strike down Withered Heart, he suddenly felt as if his feet were immobilized. He looked down to see dark energy wrapping around him. 0

"Ghost Gate Secret Technique?" Nangong Yun muttered just as a thin handprint appeared behind him in the void. The Seven-Colored Relic was abruptly drawn into that hand. 0

Nangong Yun clutched his back, feeling the pain as the Seven-Colored Relic pierced through him. He was in agony, and within him, the Zen Bodhisattva swayed, trying to escape his flesh. 0

"Yang Kaishan, you shameless scoundrel! How dare you ambush the Old Man!" Nangong Yun shouted. 0

The void split open, and the Old Scholar emerged from it, dressed in a scholar's robe with a topknot on his head. His expression was calm as he said, "I have been searching for the Seven-Colored Relic as well. I never expected it to be in your possession. You should not take what does not belong to you; the Zen Bodhisattva is not something you should possess." 0

The Old Scholar held the Seven-Colored Relic in his hand. Chanting a spell, he explained that the Zen Bodhisattva was, in a sense, the soul of the deceased. It was the indestructible Golden Body cultivated over countless years after the Ancient Great Buddha's death, reincarnating through generations without fading away. With a single invocation of the Ghost Gate Secret Technique, he wielded control over all souls, including the Zen Bodhisattva. Although he could not control Nangong Yun, who was also Supreme, he could extract the Zen Bodhisattva from within him using the Ghost Gate Secret Technique. 0

The Golden Body trembled and emerged from Nangong Yun's body. The Old Scholar laughed heartily as ghostly runes of Zen Buddhism flowed from his palm. The unconscious Zen Bodhisattva leaped into the air, attempting to tear through the void and escape. 0

"Thinking of leaving? Not a chance!" Nangong Yun's voice turned fierce as he controlled the Shuttle to pierce through the void and attack the Old Scholar. 0

The Old Scholar had no choice but to retreat, his figure transforming into a shadow like a Spirit Monkey as he soared away into the distance. 0

"Chase!" Nangong Yun bellowed, pursuing the Old Scholar on his Shuttle. 0

At that moment, however, the Desert began to tremble. The once clear sky darkened with thick clouds as massive sand waves rose up, obscuring the sun. The Old Scholar hovered in mid-air, wrapped in Void Runes, frowning deeply. With a wave of his sleeve, the sand curtain vanished, revealing a gigantic snake tail descending upon him. 0

With a loud crash, the Old Scholar was sent flying backward for hundreds of feet, skidding along the desert surface. 0

The sand waves surged and fell again as a massive white-haired serpent appeared in the desert. The White Snake stretched for thousands of feet, its body comparable to that of the nearby Moon Well. Its eyes shone like bright moons—yellow and piercingly beautiful yet eerily enchanting. 0

The White Snake flicked its tongue as atop its head stood a White-Haired Woman in White. Her beauty was strikingly pale and somewhat terrifying as she spoke: "Old Scholar, long time no see." 0

The Old Scholar raised his head to look at the woman standing atop the serpent's head and said, "Snake Goddess?" 0

The Snake Goddess chuckled lightly, "I'm glad you haven't forgotten me. I initially planned to wipe out your entire clan at Yin Mountain, but then I sensed your presence here. What surprised me even more was that this bunch of bald donkeys led me right to you. It was the ancestors of these bald donkeys who built the three Futu Stupas that injured my celestial roots and collected the spiritual energy of the sun, moon, mountains, rivers, and seas to suppress me. If it weren't for the Futu Stupas, how could I have been sealed for so long?!" 0

The Old Scholar let out a dry laugh and replied, "I was also entrusted to strengthen the seal back then. Since you've found your true enemies, go take revenge on the Three Great Monks of Leiyin Temple. I'll take my leave now!" 0

"You think you can just walk away?" The Snake Goddess laughed lightly, her eyes shimmering with an otherworldly light. Her massive serpent tail lifted, stirring up a whirlwind of sand that swept over everyone. 0

As the towering serpent tail descended, everyone was sent flying, including experts from the Mahayana Realm who had no choice but to evade the serpent's attack. Though this assault wasn't Daoist Arts, it was powerful enough to shatter mountains and split the heavens. 0

"Brother Hai Deng, you must find Douding!" urged the Sea and Sky Master. 0

Amidst the swirling sands, Haideng pushed Nangong aside with one hand and dove into the sea of yellow sand. However, in that yellow sand, there was no sign of Chang Liulang or Douding. 0

The might of White Snake's tail was enough to topple mountains and seas; under its furious strikes, countless elite disciples who tried to evade were killed. Moreover, Chang Liulang was merely at the Core Formation Stage, while Douding had no cultivation at all. Zen Bodhisattva had also been struck out and was extremely weak. 0

"Compassionate Heart!" Master Hai Deng shouted Douding's Dharma name. 0

In the battlefield, there was no response. 0

Nangong Yun struck towards the Old Scholar with a palm, attempting to seize Zen Bodhisattva from his grasp. The Old Scholar was contemplating his next move when he impatiently countered with a palm strike. A ripple of void energy surged forth with a thud, sending dozens of Disciples of the Serpent Cult flying, including Nangong Yun. After hitting the ground, he coughed incessantly; he had already been severely injured and had only temporarily recovered by absorbing Zen Bodhisattva's power. However, he hadn't fully healed yet. Once separated from Zen Bodhisattva's divine energy, his body immediately began to weaken. 0

"In the end, it's due to being harmed by an Evil Weapon. How could that Evil Weapon be so formidable?" Nangong Yun thought angrily. 0

The White Snake swept its long tail, while the Old Scholar leaped into the air, unleashing a thunderous strike to suppress the giant serpent. With a resounding crash, the White Snake remained unmoved, but the Old Scholar was sent flying, blood spurting from his mouth. 0

The White Snake opened its massive jaws to devour the disciples of the Serpent Cult and Leiyin Temple. Suddenly, its gigantic tail swung towards the Three Divine Monks. The Three Divine Monks radiated golden light as they chanted spells, using the Buddhist Chant to bind the White Snake. Withered Leaf was surrounded by numerous leaf shadows as he slashed at the White Snake, while Dead Tree approached within three inches of the White Snake under Withered Leaf's cover. He struck with a powerful punch against the serpent's body, causing it to howl in pain as three inches of its body turned rigid and blackened. The Snake Goddess above it scoffed, "You think your wooden Buddhist techniques can kill my true form? A bunch of ants!" 0

As the Snake Goddess spoke, her eyes glowed with a demonic light, turning completely white. The posture of the White Snake became stiff beneath her, and its enormous pupils began to change shape, expanding from their originally vertical form. In that moment, it felt as if some earthly will had descended upon them, causing everyone's movements to slow down. 0

"Hmm?" It wasn't just Nangong; even Supreme Nangong Yun and the Old Scholar found their actions hindered and difficult to execute. 0

"This is bad; it must be this snake's Divine Ability that it has comprehended over countless years!" the Old Scholar exclaimed. 0

At that moment, amidst the swirling yellow sand, everyone suddenly heard a child's cry. 0

"Why did you deceive me…" 0

"Why did you harm my senior brother?" 0
