"Ding Lin Ling, ding Lin Ling."
"Finally class is over. I'm so hungry I could die. Xiao Xiao, let's go to the cafeteria and eat." Lin Ling quickly got up and tried to pull Li Xiao to run, but she didn't see Li Xiao get up no matter how hard she tried.
Looking at Li Xiao's eyes focused on her legs, Lin Ling suddenly realized.
"Ah, I forgot, I'm sorry. We're injured now, so let's take it slow, no rush," Lin Ling looked at Li Xiao, smiling unnaturally.
"You go first, I'm not very hungry yet. I can walk slowly. You go first, if you go late, your Sweet and Sour Ribs will be gone again," Li Xiao said.
"But, but, I can't leave you behind. I won't eat it today," but Lin Ling's expression betrayed her.
"Okay, I want to eat Sweet and Sour Ribs. You go first and help me order a portion, and also save a seat for me." Li Xiao could immediately sense her inner conflict and reluctance.
"Alright, I'll go first then. I will definitely get the Sweet and Sour Ribs," she said with a bright smile as she dashed out the door. Li Xiao smiled as she watched her leave, then slowly got up to tidy her books.
"Xiao Xiao, be careful when you walk, take your time, I'll save you a seat." Lin Ling's voice suddenly came from the window, startling Li Xiao, who replied loudly, "I know, I know, you're so naggy." As her words fell, she heard the urgent sound of footsteps.
When Li Xiao slowly walked out of the classroom door, most of the people in the entire teaching building had already gone to eat, or had gone to play basketball and hadn't come back yet, so the teaching building was very quiet. Every little sound was very clear.
It was unexpected for Li Xiao to meet Jiang Yan again, and this stairwell was somewhat magical; they always met here.
"Have you not had dinner yet? Is your leg feeling better?" He seemed quite happy to see her again, taking the initiative to greet her with a smile on his face. He was wearing his usual school uniform today, holding two bottles of AD calcium milk, walking towards her from the stairs.
"Yeah, not yet. I'm fine now, you don't need to worry," Li Xiao felt like he had been concerned about the accident all this time, but it had been a long time ago for her.
"Do you have a very bad impression of me?" Jiang Yan felt strange, she always kept people at a distance, especially him.
"No." And Li Xiao was also wondering why he was asking this. "Then we have known each other for quite some time, and I still don't know your name. I apologize without addressing the right person." He smiled warmly, with obvious dimples on his cheeks and bright eyes. He must have good eyesight. "My name is Li Xiao."
"Hello, Li Xiao, I'm Jiang Yan. Can we be friends?" He extended his hand, with long, slender fingers and neatly trimmed nails. Even the veins on the back of his hand looked powerful, perhaps due to his frequent basketball playing. His hand was not the fair complexion of someone who spends all their time indoors, but rather a healthy, slightly wheat-colored tone.
His words caught Li Xiao off guard. She hadn't expected his sincerity, his sudden invitation to be friends. But she knew that she didn't feel any resistance in her heart at that moment, and perhaps even felt a bit happy.
She looked at his hand, momentarily unable to respond. Her hand, resting on the edge of her school uniform pants, nervously fidgeted with the fabric. She was thinking about how to reply, or rather, how to casually and naturally express her willingness.
Looking at the girl in front of him, she lowered her head, not knowing what she was thinking, but he noticed all her little movements. "You're not speaking, does that mean you agree?" His tone carried a faint smile.
