Dongfang Jiu was nearing ninety, having fathered a son, Dongfang Yuqing, at the age of sixty. 0

The Sword Pavilion was part of the Eastern Aristocracy. During the time when the Sword Elder controlled the Sword Pavilion, it flourished, dominating the entire Central Plains. He had nine sons, with Dongfang Jiu being the ninth, hence his name. 0

Within the Sword Pavilion, there were seven legendary swords passed down through generations. The Sword Elder entrusted these swords to his seven sons. Later, he took a concubine and had two more sons, Dongfang Xia and Dongfang Jiu. While Dongfang Xia was timid, Dongfang Jiu was competitive and ambitious. However, lacking a legendary sword to inherit, he held no status in a family that revered strength. Additionally, as the son of a concubine, Dongfang Jiu's mother had no name of her own, leading to both brothers being marginalized and ultimately sent to the harsh borders. 0

From the age of fifteen, Dongfang Jiu lived in poverty on the frozen lands of the Northern Region. He relied on his brother Dongfang Xia for support. After ten years, Dongfang Xia fell ill from hunger and cold and passed away without a single complaint. At that time, Dongfang Jiu was twenty-five and already a master in the Nascent Soul Realm, yet he dared not leave the icy plains for fear of his seven brothers. 0

At thirty, Dongfang Jiu met a woman in a village. After two years of acquaintance, they married and had a son named Dongfang Yuqing. 0

Dongfang Jiu and Yu Wanru lived a humble life together in their cold village. He believed his life would remain ordinary until his seven brothers found him again. The Sword Elder intended to pass on leadership of the Sword Sect to the most talented heir with the greatest understanding of swordsmanship. 0

The Sword Elder sent someone to find Dongfang Jiu in the Northern Region and bring him back to Central Plains. However, their convoy was ambushed en route. In a fierce battle, Dongfang Jiu suffered defeat; he witnessed Yu Wanru being stabbed to death before his eyes and saw his three-year-old son Dongfang Yuqing fall to his death. 0

Just as the black-clad assailant aimed to kill him, an aged Taoist saved him. The Taoist imparted the true essence of swordsmanship before dying and instructed him to seek out the Crimson Sky Sword. After finding it, Dongfang Jiu devoted himself to mastering sword techniques until he approached enlightenment in swordsmanship by the time he neared sixty. With just himself and his sword, he stormed into the Sword Pavilion, using every means necessary to eliminate his brothers and ultimately became the Sword Sect Master. 0

After seizing control of the Sword Pavilion for a second time, Dongfang Jiu ordered someone to bring a woman from a village in the Northern Region who bore a striking resemblance to Yu Wanru from years past. He declared to her: "From now on, you shall forget your name; I grant you a new name—Yu Wanru. Our son will be named Dongfang Yuqing." 0

Many years passed without incident until that replacement for Yu Wanru went mad under pressure from Dongfang Jiu and hanged herself from the rafters. 0

On her last night alive, she revealed everything to Dongfang Yuqing, leading him to sever ties with the Sword Pavilion and distance himself from Dongfang Jiu. 0

His biological father had driven his mother to death; Dongfang Yuqing found himself at a loss. 0

Now on his deathbed with no hope left for survival, Dongfang Jiu lay there while Dongfang Yuqing turned his back on him until his father's gaze grew dim and he breathed his last. 0

"Son, I'm sorry." These were Dongfang Jiu's final words. 0

Dongfang Yuqing shrugged his shoulders and turned around, seeing Dongfang Jiu wide-eyed, fists clenched tightly. 0

I crouched down to close Dongfang Jiu's eyes, then looked at Dongfang Yuqing, who moved his fingertips slightly. A wisp of Dao Fire sprang forth, turning Dongfang Jiu's body to ashes. 0

At that moment, Zhang Xing took advantage of the distraction and slipped toward the Evil Weapon among the ruins. The instant he grasped the Evil Weapon, a pair of hands crackling with thunder reached out from the void, flicking Zhang Xing away with a single finger. The Old Scholar appeared beside the Evil Weapon and chuckled, "There's no place for you here; why cling to something that doesn't belong to you?" 0

Furious, Zhang Xing had no time to respond before a sword light slashed toward him. Dongfang Yuqing could not let go of his father's vengeance. 0

The Old Scholar reached for his sword when a strange aura descended from above, and a droplet resembling water fell toward him. 0

"Tears of Guanyin?" The Old Scholar was startled and quickly jumped aside. 0

Miao Guanyin appeared in mid-air, dressed in a white Daoist robe, radiating a white light. 0

Miao Guanyin said, "He cannot draw his sword, nor can you." 0

The Old Scholar looked at Miao Guanyin and replied, "Miao Guanyin, I haven't settled the score with you for stealing the Book of Life and Death. Now you're here to ruin my plans again; it seems I cannot spare you. This place can withstand a battle in the void!" 0

With that, the Old Scholar dove into the void, while Miao Guanyin also tore through the void and stepped in. 0

Thunderous sounds echoed within the void as the air trembled, reminiscent of an earthquake. The two Supremes fought amidst the emptiness. On the ruins of Sword Pavilion, Yang Xuanzong stepped forward to ascend the Forging Platform. 0

Yunxi attempted to intercept him, but I said, "Nangong won't be able to resist; we don't need to intervene." 0

Sure enough, as soon as I finished speaking, Nangong squinted and said, "Yang Xuanzong, are you just going to swagger up there like that?" 0

Before Yang Xuanzong could speak, Li Chang'an said, "Does Master Nangong intend to carry me up in a grand sedan chair?" 0

Yu Youya replied, "The Evil Weapon was forged by my sect using the Five Poisons True Fire. Does the Yang Family think they can just take it without even asking?" 0

Li Chang'an snorted and said, "Yu Youya, you have no say here. The things my Yang Family wants to take are not something anyone dares to stop us from." 0

Yu Youya dared not respond; after all, he was merely a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator. If Nangong and one of them were to fight, he would be unable to handle the other Mahayana Realm person. 0

I said, "No one dares to stop what the Yang Family wants to take, but family members are always bold enough to intervene." 0

Li Chang'an looked at me and exclaimed, "Who are you? I didn’t even notice you before. You really are lucky; you've survived serious injuries multiple times. Last time, I let you escape from the Yang Family with only a wisp of that old ghost's soul from Yin Yang View. This time, if you have the ability, don’t run away." 0

I coughed and said, "Back then, when I was being hunted by the Serpent Cult and fled to Azure Cloud Mountain, I received your help there. I have always been grateful and did not wish to become your enemy. As a member of the Yang Family, why must you treat me this way?" 0

"An ant dares to stand on equal footing with the Old Man?" Li Chang'an raised an eyebrow. 0

In the distance, Dongfang Yuqing and Zhang Xing were engaged in a fierce battle. The Seven Star Sword clashed with the Five Element Sword. Zhang Xing executed the ultimate move of the Seven Star Sword Technique; his momentum was slightly diminished now, but Dongfang Yuqing grew increasingly alarmed as he realized that Zhang Xing's Dao Qi seemed endless. Even when injured by the Five Element Sword, it couldn't inflict significant harm on him. Zhang Dao'an joined in with his sword; after receiving guidance from Sword Elder at Peach Blossom Stream, his strength had greatly increased and he found an opportunity to showcase his skills. 0

Nangong watched as Yang Xuanzong attempted to draw the Evil Weapon. With a snort, he moved to block Yang Xuanzong's path. It was clear that this battle was unavoidable; only the victor would be able to draw out the Evil Weapon. 0

Li Chang'an's words chilled my heart completely. I said, "You deceived me into joining the Yang Family, crippled my cultivation, seized my Golden Core, and even killed our kin before my eyes. Today, I will take your life as my first kill of a Mahayana Realm expert." 0

Li Chang'an laughed heartily and pointed at me. "Just based on you?" 0

I stepped toward Li Chang'an; as I took a step forward, patterns appeared beneath my feet and a lotus flower bloomed. The ground trembled slightly, causing Li Chang'an to show a hint of surprise as he remarked, "Step by step blooms the lotus?" 0

Li Chang'an unleashed the Transcendent Hand, striking towards me with a powerful palm. My figure flickered and appeared beside him amidst the dust and smoke. As Li Chang'an threw a punch, I swiftly aimed my palm at his chin, sending him flying into the air, landing some distance away. He struggled to get up, blood trickling from his tongue; my earlier strike had nearly shattered his jaw. 0

Yet I stood before Li Chang'an completely unharmed. Confusion filled his heart as he felt the surge of Dao Qi within him. His Daoist Robe was ineffective as he swiftly passed through my form. The illusion vanished, and I reappeared next to Li Chang'an, delivering a knife-hand strike to his throat. 0

Li Chang'an was sent flying back, clutching his neck, his face contorted in pain as he coughed incessantly. 0

"How could this happen?" Li Chang'an's voice was hoarse, nearly broken by my strike. 0

"Second Brother. He has comprehended the Dao and entered the state of the Mahayana Realm ahead of time. However, it seems he has suffered an Injury of the Dao and will not last long. There's no need to waste effort on this short-lived fool!" Yang Xuanzong shouted while fiercely battling Nangong. 0

"What?" Li Chang'an exclaimed in shock, looking at me. "Truly worthy of being the creator of the Perfect Golden Core. It seems you are at least a master of the Dao Fruit Realm now. The possessor of a Perfect Golden Core will have a Dao Fruit born within them; I truly want to see what Divine Ability you possess!" 0

"You might not have that opportunity," I said as my form dispersed once more. Having learned his lesson, Li Chang'an immediately retreated, raising his defensive Dao Qi around him. My figure coalesced again, appearing right in front of him. I pointed a finger at his face; ripples of water surged forth as a seemingly slow stream rushed into his defensive Dao Qi. Li Chang'an was taken aback and hurriedly used his power to evade. 0

In that fleeting moment when he dodged, I raised my hand and slapped him across the face. 0

Li Chang'an stumbled back, completely dazed by my slap. In ninety years, no one had ever dared to slap him so brazenly—either because no one had the courage or because no one had the ability. Yet here he was, struck by someone who had just recently entered the Dao Fruit Realm! It was known that he ranked among the top ten in strength within the Daoist Sect, and now he had been slapped by a newcomer! 0

The Yang Family valued their reputation highly; Li Chang'an had endured humiliation for many years. Now that he had returned to the Yang Family, being slapped like this ignited his fury instantly. His anger boiled over as veins bulged on his forehead: "What does it matter? We all die in the end!" 0

He unleashed a punch that tore through the air, creating cracks in reality. My figure vanished as Li Chang'an's ears twitched; he focused his mind and then punched toward where I had been standing. The force of his punch carried with it the might of Transcendent Hand, causing me to spit blood as my form reappeared. 0

"Yang Hao!" Yunxi shouted, her Tai Xu Ling swirling in her hand as it wrapped around Li Chang'an. 0

Li Chang'an snorted disdainfully and reached out with his large hand toward Tai Xu Ling. As it coiled around his arm, Yunxi suddenly pulled back hard. Li Chang'an let out a pained scream as blood mist erupted from his arm; he staggered backward, looking at his bent and mangled limb with anguish as he realized that his Dao Qi and blood could no longer flow properly. "What is this aura?" he asked in disbelief. 0

I said, "The Dragon Vein Imperial Qi that suppresses all breaths has rendered your arm useless." 0

"I will make you pay!" Li Chang'an roared. His massive hand reached out, attempting to crush me. I did not evade; instead, I unleashed the Rift Path and struck with a powerful punch. 0

His hand twisted, and I heard the sound of bones shattering from Li Chang'an's other arm. Now that I was in the Dao Fruit Realm and he was in the Mahayana Realm, although his Dao Qi was astonishing and surpassed mine, the Rift Path cultivation method allowed me to amplify my strength a hundredfold. With Li Chang'an's power, he could not withstand it, and his physical body suffered severe injuries immediately. 0

Yang Xuanzong, who was locked in a fierce battle with Nangong, saw this scene. He pushed Nangong away with one palm and stood in front of Li Chang'an. With a sweep of his right hand, a mirror-like surface of water appeared, blocking all Daoist Arts. I had no choice but to retreat. Li Chang'an attacked me through that Void Mirror Surface. I used Righteous Qi to defend myself as I moved aside. My Vital Energy shield vibrated, distorting the void but failing to affect the aura surrounding me. 0

Seeing me cough, Yunxi asked, "Are you alright?" 0

"I'm fine. The Injury of the Dao is affecting me. With Yang Xuanzong here, it will take more to kill Li Chang'an," I replied. 0

"Second Brother, how are you?" Yang Xuanzong inquired as he probed Li Chang'an's condition with his Dao Qi, discovering that the meridians in his arm were blocked and could not be unblocked. 0

Li Chang'an's face turned pale as he said, "My arm is ruined." 0
