In the center of Wine Alley Street, a remarkable young man named Chen Hua fell from the sky, his body splitting in two, his clothes still pristine.
To be able to fly with a sword, one must at least be a powerful figure above the Nascent Soul Realm. Yet, such a strong individual was cleaved in half by someone else's sword, dying on the spot, unable to escape even with his Nascent Soul intact.
Those inside Listening Rain Tower knew that this was none other than the renowned young talent, Lou Shaoyu, the Young Master of Sea Viewing Pavilion. He had composed poetry at the age of seven and displayed extraordinary talent throughout the Eastern Wasteland. His fame did not stem from being the most powerful but from his exceptional looks and abilities. Few men were as exquisite as he; not only could he articulate beautifully, but he also achieved much at a young age, winning the hearts of many young women wherever he went.
Yet now, he lay there like a dog, brutally slain in public.
The key detail was that he had been killed by a woman.
Recently, Cao Shaogong from Sword Pavilion had also met his demise within Listening Rain Tower, and now Lou Shaoyu had suffered the same fate. His followers had perished alongside him.
Some members of the Daoist Sect inquired with the Golden Innkeeper about who resided in the upstairs study room, hoping to make an acquaintance. When the Golden Innkeeper mentioned Yang Hao's name, everyone gasped in astonishment.
They recalled the talented individual who had been forced to jump off a cliff at Mount Hua a year ago, possessing two extraordinary texts: Martial Dao Classic and Book of Life and Death. Although rumors of his resurrection circulated, most people still regarded them as mere gossip. Now it seemed that the person residing there was indeed Yang Hao.
But what shocked them most was that it was a woman who had committed the murder.
Among the crowd surrounding Lou Shaoyu's corpse, a pair of Dao Companions exchanged glances filled with amusement as they lightly gazed toward the study room in Listening Rain Tower before disappearing into the throng.
In the distance, a man and woman walked hand in hand, their faces radiant with happiness. Upon seeing the bodies in the crowd, Rouer turned pale and exclaimed, "How could someone dare to kill in broad daylight so quickly?"
Wuy frowned and replied, "This person carries the aura of Tai Xu Ling; it was Yunxi who did this."
Listening to others' discussions, Wuy looked up toward Listening Rain Tower and led Rouer upstairs.
Inside Listening Rain Tower, I remarked, "Yunxi, Wuy has arrived."
As they walked upstairs, the door to the study creaked open. Wudao said, "So it’s really you two here. The one who died is Lou Shaoyu?"
I replied, "Yes, and you’re here with Rouer enjoying your honeymoon in Jiangnan City?"
"Aren't you also here with Yunxi? A perfect night for romance, yet you're in this dreary study," Wudao remarked. "Ah, have you two moved in together?"
"Don’t be ridiculous." I glanced at Yunxi, whose face had turned slightly red, and criticized Wudao before introducing Yunxi and Rouer to each other.
Rouer said, "Brother Five talks nothing but about Yang Hao. My ears are getting calloused from hearing his name. I didn’t pay much attention on Emei Mountain, but seeing him today, he truly is a person of extraordinary talent, a perfect match for Sister Yunxi."
"Rouer, you really know how to flatter," I chuckled.
Wudao asked, "Haozi, how's your injury?"
I shook my head and replied, "I've tried every method I could think of."
Wu and Rouer fell silent upon hearing this. After a moment, Wudao asked, "I heard Brother Yang and the others have also come to Jiangnan. Have you seen them?"
I shook my head to indicate I hadn’t. "If I do see them, please don’t mention my injury. By the way, hasn’t the Emei Sect evacuated Jiangnan yet?"
Wudao shook his head. "The place where the Emei Sect is staying isn’t far from here. I just brought Rouer out."
I looked outside as the colors began to fade in the sky. Suddenly, a strong tremor shook the air; Seven Stars Aligned shone brightly as the nebula shifted. A rumbling sound echoed.
I said, "It seems the forging of the Divine Weapon will be moved up; it should happen tonight. You’d better take Rouer back to the Sect first to avoid any injuries during the chaos."
Wudao nodded and bid farewell to us with Rouer. After they left, Yunxi asked, "What should we do now? Should we head towards the Sword Pavilion?"
I said, "It's dark now. Let's take a break after dinner; I'm feeling a bit tired."
Yunxi nodded and stood up to instruct the Shop Assistant to bring the food upstairs. After we finished eating, we rested in the room for a moment before preparing to head out. However, at that moment, I suddenly sensed someone watching us from the shadows. Through the paper window next to the door, a thin tube was inserted, emitting wisps of white smoke. If I hadn't looked closely, I wouldn't have noticed it at all.
Yunxi and I exchanged glances. Without turning on the lights, we quietly watched the person outside blowing the smoke. After a while, there was a knock at the door, but neither of us responded.
"Is anyone there? Are you two guests inside?" a man's voice called out.
After a moment, a man and a woman pushed the door open; it was Zhongnan Mountain Companions, Huayue Rong and Mei Qingsong. They entered with grins on their faces. Huayue Rong said, "Why are they both asleep on the table?"
Mei Qingsong replied, "The smoke from this Misty Flower is potent; they wouldn't even notice until it was too late. Hehe, these two are skilled fighters who could easily take down the recently famous Lou Shaoyu. They must be significant figures. If we absorb their Yang and Yin energies, our powers will greatly increase; perhaps tonight we can step into the Dao Fruit Realm!"
Huayue Rong nodded, their eyes gleaming with lust as they began to undress, exuding an intoxicating aura.
I lay on the table, staring at the discarded clothes beneath it. Yunxi transmitted a message: "I could just make my move now, but you want to wait and see what they plan to do. Now they've already taken off their clothes; what should we do?"
"How about we undress too and go along with it?" I suggested through our mental link.
"Go die," Yunxi replied sharply, her foot suddenly stomping down on mine with force.
"Are you trying to murder your husband?" I transmitted back.
Just then, Huayue Rong, now completely undressed, wrapped her arms around me from behind. I dared not describe what she intended to do.
"Ah!" I transmitted in panic. "Yunxi, help me!"
"You scream like a pig being slaughtered," Yunxi scoffed. Behind her, Mei Qingsong had also stripped off his clothes and was about to reach for Yunxi when she cleared her throat and lifted her head from the table.
It was awkward.
The atmosphere was incredibly uncomfortable.
"Um, excuse me. Up until now, we have maintained a pure relationship between a man and a woman. You two barging in and stripping down in our room, what exactly are you trying to do?" I asked.
The two of them gasped, quickly picking up their clothes from the floor to cover themselves. Huayue Rong's face turned red as she said, "Why are you still awake?"
I replied, "What do you mean? We're used to sleeping with our heads on the table. You just touched me and woke me up."
Mei Qingsong scoffed and said, "So what if you're awake? Yuerong, let's use the Harmony Technique to control them first!"
Huayue Rong nodded, and the two began chanting incantations. An incredibly lewd aura emanated from them, stirring the most primal desires within people's hearts. Even the usually cold Yunxi blushed this time, her heart racing normally. If an ordinary person were in such an environment, they would have already succumbed to temptation.
"Perverted!" Yunxi shouted angrily. She suddenly wrapped her Tai Xu Ling around Mei Qingsong's neck and pulled him closer. With a swift slap, she struck Mei Qingsong's chin, sending him crashing against the ceiling like a frog before falling back down in a heap.
Yunxi looked at Mei Qingsong's naked body on the ground and then turned to me with a furious expression. "You're just as perverted!"
With that, Yunxi jumped out of the window.
Meanwhile, Mei Qingsong lay frozen on the ground, completely motionless.
I helplessly looked at Huayue Rong and said, "See? My wife is so embarrassed she jumped out of the building. I was hoping to take advantage of this situation and learn how to seduce her from you."
"Let my husband go!" Huayue Rong shouted angrily as she lunged at me.
A glimmer of starlight shone in my eyes as I twisted the void, pinning Huayue Rong to the ground so she couldn't move. I had learned this technique from observing Zhang Xing and Zhang Yue perform the Star-Moon Secret Classic back on Kunlun Mountain, and now I could use it with complete ease.
"What kind of demonic technique are you using?" Huayue Rong exclaimed in shock, not expecting that I could render her completely powerless so effortlessly.
I asked, "Do you not investigate someone's identity when you ambush them, or have you become so confident that you disregard the cultivation levels of others?"
Huayue Rong replied, "What do you want from us?"
I snapped my fingers, and Dao Qi surged forth, breaking the ice that had immobilized Mei Qingsong. Mei Qingsong stood up and helped Huayue Rong to her feet, saying, "We didn't know a senior was here. We apologize for our offense. Please, senior, spare our lives."
"I'm not some senior," I said. "I should be calling you seniors instead. Look at you; you're not even wearing undergarments. Why not perform for me?"
"Perform what?" Mei Qingsong asked.
"Come on. We're all men here; don't tell me you don't understand a man's curiosity," I said with a mischievous grin.
"This..." Mei Qingsong's expression turned awkward as he glanced at Huayue Rong.
Huayue Rong nodded shyly, and the two exchanged glances, preparing to engage in intimate acts. Suddenly, Yunxi's voice echoed from the rooftop: "Yang Hao, do you believe I would kill you too?"
I cleared my throat and stood up, pointing at Huayue Rong and Mei Qingsong. "You two shameless lovers! In broad daylight, beneath Radiant Day, how can you engage in such sordid activities? I wouldn't care if you did this elsewhere, but coming into our room is simply unacceptable—you're deliberately trying to lead us astray!"
"That's on you," Yunxi retorted.
"Yes, it's me," I replied. "I'm still a virgin, and with you two doing this in front of me, isn't that just ruining me on purpose?"
Yunxi's voice came again from the rooftop: "If you keep acting crazy with these lewd people, I'll die right in front of you!"
I bared my teeth at Huayue Rong and Mei Qingsong. "My wife is angry now; it seems I must apologize to both of you."
Huayue Rong and Mei Qingsong quickly bowed their heads in plea for mercy. Huayue Rong said, "It was our moment of foolishness that disturbed you two. We were blind to your greatness; please spare us this once."
I replied, "Spare your lives? You have cultivated the Yin-Yang Harmonization Technique and reached such a level of power. Do you have any idea how many lives you have endangered? How can we let you go?"
Huayue Rong insisted, "We have never harmed anyone. As you saw earlier, we are merely a couple—one gathering Yin to supplement Yang, and the other gathering Yang to supplement Yin. We only take what is necessary, not lives."
Mei Qingsong added, "Senior, please see reason. We have only just started our journey a few months ago. My master is Elder Huang Xie from Zhongnan Mountain. If you spare us, I assure you he will come bearing precious gifts to thank you for your mercy."
I shook my head and said, "What are you thinking? It sounds like you're asking your master to come kill me instead. Actions speak louder than words; you have killed countless people, even innocent monks on Spirit Mist Mountain, and yet here you are spouting nonsense without a hint of shame. What kind of experts are you?"
"You... how do you know about Spirit Mist Mountain?" The two were taken aback, clutching each other's hands as they attempted to use their combined powers to break free from my grasp.
I glanced at my nails and suddenly clenched my fist. Dao Qi contracted around them, enveloping them in a secret force that curled them into a ball. Blood splattered everywhere; killing them required no Daoist Arts—pure Dao Qi alone could reduce them to nothing but blood.
With a flash of Starlight tearing through the void, I tossed their entwined bodies into the Void Turbulence. I said, "Yunxi, prepare yourself; we are heading to the Sword Pavilion."
