Spirit Mist Mountain was once a renowned Buddhist Sect known as Ling Mountain. During the Sui-Tang period, there was a prominent sect called Xuanfo Temple, which produced a notable figure in Zen Buddhism who led the sect. However, with the changes of dynasties and the impact brought by the Nirvana of Zen Buddhism, the development of Xuanfo Temple declined day by day, ultimately leading to its desolation. 0

Over two hundred years ago, amidst the ongoing war between Buddhism and Taoism, Xuanfo Temple was finally destroyed. Even now, remnants of crumbling walls and collapsed Buddha statues can still be seen on Spirit Mist Mountain, bearing witness to the former glory of Xuanfo Temple. 0

Scattered across Ling Mountain are several dilapidated temples, some inhabited by wandering monks living a life of simplicity with dim lights and plain meals, while others serve as retreats for monks seeking solitude in this remote area. 0

Today, as Yunxi and I made our way up the mountain, we encountered several monks in the temples who had met tragic ends. Eventually, we reached the temple at the summit of Spirit Mist Mountain and found signs of a struggle inside. 0

I took out the Zhou Compass to revisit the past and saw Dongfang Yuqing fighting with companions from Zhongnan Mountain. 0

"Who is Master Zhang's disciple?" I asked. 0

Yunxi replied, "He is Zhang Dao'an, the eldest disciple of Longhu Mountain. I saw him once in the Dunhuang Caves; he was weak in skill. Longhu Mountain was destroyed, yet he survived—perhaps Dongfang Yuqing saved him." 0

I frowned and said, "Dongfang Yuqing is from Sword Pavilion; how could he possibly ally with someone from Longhu Mountain? Never mind; let's search for the ruins of ancient Xuanfo Temple." 0

I adjusted the Zhou Compass to a few hundred years ago. As light and shadow shifted around us on Spirit Mist Mountain, an incredibly grand Buddhist Sect complex appeared before us. 0

Yunxi remarked, "I didn't expect Xuanfo Temple to be so magnificent back then; it's much larger than Leiyin Temple." 0

I replied, "After all, it was a Millennium Great Sect—one of the four major Buddhist Sects throughout history. It's truly a pity that such a sect has perished." 0

We walked up the steps of Xuanfo Temple into the realm of light and shadow and found the Scripture Repository filled with numerous books. Yunxi asked, "Why don't you give it a try?" 0

I nodded and sat down in the center of the Scripture Repository. Books flew open around me as I immersed myself in deciphering the secrets of Martial Dao Classic that enveloped the entire mountain range, interpreting ancient Buddhist texts from within the light and shadow. 0

Countless characters flowed into my mind. After two hours had passed and the light and shadow faded away, I opened my eyes to find my face pale and filled with exhaustion. 0

"How was it? Can you remember?" Yunxi asked. 0

I shook my head and said, "The content I've seen in past books cannot be fully remembered. One thing is certain: there is no way to heal the Injury of the Dao. However, I did come across several advanced Buddhist sects and cultivation methods." 0

Yunxi said, "Then let's go to Jiuhua Mountain. Among the four major Buddhist sects, aside from Xuanfo Temple and Leiyin Temple, there are two that have been destroyed, both of which had connections to Zen Buddhism. We should check it out." 0

I took Yunxi's hand and said, "Yunxi, with the little time we have left, I want to spend more time with you." 0

Yunxi replied, "While we seek out ancient sites, we can also enjoy the scenery." 0

I thought for a moment and said, "That's true." 0

Half a month later, Yunxi and I found ourselves at the foot of Zhongnan Mountain. During this half month, we first visited the ruins of the Buddhist sect at Jiuhua Mountain to search for records in the Scripture Repository. Then we explored the Ancient Shaolin for texts on Buddhist sect cultivation methods. The ancient Shaolin Temple was the foremost Buddhist sect, founded by Bodhidharma, who was the first generation of Zen Buddhism. The Scripture Repository contained countless ultimate techniques that greatly aided my growth in strength, but even the method of rebirth and marrow cleansing could not heal the Injury of the Dao. 0

One ancient scroll recorded that Zen Master Bodhidharma had once sought the Dao, but no one knew the outcome. His disciple, Huike, who was the second generation of Zen Buddhism, also explored the Dao but ultimately gave up and dared not try again. It wasn't until the time of Five Patriarch Hongren that he took in two disciples: one was Sixth Patriarch Huineng, and the other was Shen Xiu, who was known as the greatest figure in Buddhist sect history. Shen Xiu was proud and attempted ancient methods to probe into the Dao after not being chosen as Sixth Patriarch. He suffered an Injury of the Dao and went mad before dying after killing countless Buddhist disciples, ultimately perishing from the Might of the Dao as his body withered away. 0

Among the four major Buddhist sects, there were no records on how to heal the Injury of the Dao. Unwilling to accept this, Yunxi brought me to Zhongnan Mountain. 0

Due to previous encounters with Zhongnan Mountain Companions, Yunxi recalled that there had once been a sect called Quanzhen Sect on Zhongnan Mountain in ancient times. During the Yuan Dynasty, it was considered a national religion where Taoists practiced longevity techniques and astonishing Daoist arts. 0

When I opened a portal through time to revisit the past, the magnificent Chongyang Palace appeared before us. Unfortunately, there were also no records regarding healing the Injury of the Dao within Chongyang Palace. 0

Heavy snow fell on Zhongnan Mountain as Yunxi's eyes turned red. She said, "Guo Daozhen must have a way." 0

I held Yunxi close and reassured her, "Don't worry; I won't leave you so easily." 0

I kissed Yunxi's lips amidst the swirling snow in the palace and failed to notice a figure watching us from afar atop a distant peak. 0

In the distance stood Rain Master Luo alone on the mountaintop. She held a wooden sword and watched as we gradually walked away into the illusion of the palace until we disappeared from her sight. 0

Rain Master Luo furrowed her brows as she touched her Heart. 0

It hurt. A pain that was deep and unexpressed, piercing through her soul. 0

With a sweeping motion of her sword, the sword energy sliced into the mountains, reaching hundreds of meters underground. She gazed at a distant lake that had already frozen over, stepping lightly on the snowflakes that fell upon the Lake Surface. 0

Looking at her own reflection, Rain Master Luo saw an ordinary woman, not a beauty by any means. Compared to the woman named Yunxi, she felt vastly inferior. Even though she had listened to Song Qianqiu's advice and learned to adorn herself for the one she loved, no matter how beautifully she dressed, she could never compare to Yunxi, who seemed effortlessly radiant without any embellishment. 0

"The essence of sun and moon, the spirit of mountains and rivers, nourishes the Primordial Spirit. Cultivates the body," Rain Master Luo murmured. For over twenty years, ever since witnessing her brother's death, she had refrained from speaking much with others; all that filled her vision was the sword. 0

At fifteen, she had already avenged herself against her enemies. In the years that followed, Rain Master Luo often felt lost, as if she were merely seeking revenge. She had no family, no friends; her master was harsh with her, and her fellow disciples regarded her with awe. 0

What no one knew was that one night, Rain Master Luo secretly descended the mountain. She killed the children and parents of those who had slaughtered her brother and destroyed her village. She eliminated anyone connected to her enemies completely. Afterward, the darkness in her heart grew larger and larger, leaving her feeling so empty that only practicing swordsmanship could ease her torment. 0

Until one day, she met someone—a man who bore a striking resemblance to her brother, a man she fell in love with at first sight. 0

Yet at that time, one was in his thirties while the other appeared to be just in his teens. 0

What no one knew was that there had been no boundless desert between Kunlun Mountain and Kunlun Secret Realm; she had created an illusion to trap Yang Hao inside it, hoping for a moment alone with him. 0

That man called her Senior Sister Yu whether in public or private; each utterance of Senior Sister Yu served as a reminder to her. He only saw her as an older sister. 0

Sitting atop the snowy mountain, Rain Master Luo listened to the sound of wind and snow, feeling somewhat lost and disheartened. 0

Not long after, an unusual disturbance suddenly arose in the distance. The masters of the Daoist Sect looked up in unison. 0

Above Jiangnan, Seven Stars Aligned shone brightly; clouds swirled together to form a massive dragon shadow above Sword Pavilion. 0

“Divine Weapon is a sight that only appears during its forging. The ancient methods have long been lost; could someone have actually forged a Divine Weapon?” Rain Master Luo murmured to himself. 0

At the foot of Azure Mountain, within the dragon clan, Huzi was surrounded by beautiful dragon maidens in his room, holding onto one with a shy expression and fair skin, reluctant to let go. 0

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Huzi quickly set the maiden beside him down and straightened up, saying, “Come in.” 0

“Reporting to Dragon God, a Divine Weapon has just emerged in the Central Plains. Its aura seems ominous; it must be an Evil Weapon,” Long Cang said. 0

Huzi replied, “I understand. It’s just the right time to head to the Central Plains. During my travels in Soul, I heard about a young man named Yang Hao from the Sword Pavilion who possesses ten Ancient Legendary Swords. I wonder if it’s someone from the Sword Pavilion who is forging the Divine Weapon. Regardless of whether it’s good or evil, if we can seize it for our dragon clan, the revival of our clan will be just around the corner.” 0

Long Cang asked, “Does Dragon God intend to seize the Divine Weapon?” 0

Huzi answered, “Of course! Don’t you want our dragon clan to obtain the Divine Weapon?” 0

Long Cang said, “I do want that, but with the emergence of the Divine Weapon, even we at Azure Mountain, being remote, can sense it. The other Daoist Sect factions must have noticed as well. With so many people competing for it, and with our Dragon God just returning, I fear for your safety.” 0

Huzi reassured him, “You’re overthinking it, Chief. This time we’ll just pick up some bargains without direct confrontation. It would be best to collaborate with a certain faction; that way, it would be safer.” 0
