In the Northern Mountain, snowflakes danced wildly. The disciples of the Sword Pavilion, being members of the Supreme Sect, were all at least at the Divine Transformation Realm, so ordinary cold could not harm them. 0

The wind on the mountain was strong, causing everyone to raise their voices to be heard. I stood not far from them on a low hill with Douding, where the snow fell slowly and there was no sign of wind. 0

Dongfang Zhen broke into the Frostblade's sealing formation, shattering several seals in succession. He warmed his hands, excitement coursing through him as he grasped the hilt of Frostblade. 0

Frostblade trembled, emitting a sound like a sword's cry, as if it were a living Azure Phoenix, its tone melodious. 0

Every true sword of the Daoist Sect possesses spirit; when it emerges into the world, it causes disturbances that attract spirits to choose their master. 0

After the sword's cry, the ice mountain shattered, and a fierce wind swept heavy snow toward the Sword Pavilion disciples. The surrounding snow waves crashed in, leaving everyone with nowhere to escape. They had no choice but to raise their Dao Qi for defense as the snow waves struck, causing instability beneath their feet. The protective barrier shook violently until a sudden calm followed. 0

As the Sword Pavilion disciples withdrew their powers, a large hole appeared beneath the accumulated snow. Dongfang Zhen wielded the Frost Sword and leveled off the top of the hole, revealing those inside. 0

The Elder of the Sword Pavilion who had been protecting Dongfang Zhen was the first to leap out. Elder Mo followed closely behind but was blocked by Dongfang Zhen's sword. 0

"Dongfang Zhen, what do you mean by this?" Elder Mo squinted and asked. 0

The other disciples who had come along drew their swords and pointed them at Dongfang Zhen. He chuckled and said, "I originally wanted to keep a few as witnesses, but it seems that's unnecessary now." 0

With a swing of his sword, cold light erupted as icy air rushed into the hole. Elder Mo raised his Zhou Compass to defend himself while the Elder of the Sword Pavilion snorted and stomped his foot. Ice spikes shot out from within the snow cave, piercing through all disciples except for Elder Mo in an instant. 0

"Don't you fear the Sword Master’s wrath?!" Elder Mo shouted angrily. 0

The Elder of the Sword Pavilion chanted an incantation and pointed downward; ice spikes shot toward Elder Mo. He had no choice but to gather his Dao Qi to shatter all the ice spikes. Caught off guard, he raised his hand to block against the incoming cold light. The chill penetrated his body, causing his face to turn pale as ice crystals quickly formed on him, freezing him into a statue of ice. 0

Dongfang Zhen snorted, taking the Zhou Compass into his hands. A smile crept onto his lips as he said, "I've tolerated you for too long, constantly stealing my achievements in front of our godfather!" 0

"Zhen'er, we have obtained the Frost Sword. We can go back now," the Elder of the Sword Pavilion said, turning to leave. 0

With a swift motion, the Frost Sword pierced through the Elder's abdomen. He didn't have time to react before his body stiffened, coldness invading him and freezing his heart. 0

"W-why?" the Elder of the Sword Pavilion managed to ask with great effort. 0

Dongfang Zhen replied coldly, "You've talked too much. Time and again, you've contradicted and advised me in front of others, openly defying my orders. It has made it difficult for me to establish my authority, so it's better for you to die. Thank you for your care over the years, my uncle." 0

Dongfang Zhen then burst into laughter, kicking the Elder of the Sword Pavilion into a snow pit. 0

After finishing off his victim and retrieving the Zhou Compass, Dongfang Zhen stood on the snow, basking in the glow of the setting sun as he admired the Frostblade in his hand. In the fading light of the Great Sun, he saw my figure along with Douding slowly approaching. 0

I said, "The sword is a good one, but it seems it doesn't quite suit you." 0

Dongfang Zhen pointed the Frostblade at me, narrowing his eyes as he asked, "Who are you... You... you're Yang Hao?! Impossible!" 0

Upon realizing it was me, Dongfang Zhen trembled in fear and instinctively took a step back. "Yang Hao, I have no enmity with you. Even if you seek revenge, there's no need to come after me!" 0

I replied, "It's not exactly revenge; I just woke up and wanted to practice a bit on you." 0

Dongfang Zhen said, "Your Golden Core has already been dug out, and your Qi Sea has been destroyed. What do you plan to fight me with? Open your eyes and see; I'm holding the Frostblade. Just a scratch will cause your blood to freeze!" 0

I nodded and asked, "Should I act scared, or should I deliberately let you graze me with your sword, becoming paralyzed by the cold poison?" 0

Dongfang Zhen gritted his teeth and shouted, swinging his sword at me. The cold light sliced through the wind and snow, aimed directly at my head, but suddenly, Douding and I vanished. 0

Dongfang Zhen rubbed his eyes in shock, a whimper escaping his throat, a sound that often accompanies fear. Douding asked, "Brother, why is he so afraid of you?" 0

At this, Dongfang Zhen turned around, pointing the tip of his sword at us. I said, "Douding is asking you a question; why are you so afraid of me?" 0

Dongfang Zhen did not answer. Instead, he swung his sword horizontally with a frenzied expression. I reached out with my left hand to grasp the Sword Body of Frostblade. The cold energy sliced through behind me, cleaving an ice mountain in two without affecting us at all. 0

Dongfang Zhen attempted to pull back his sword but found Frostblade firmly in my grip. He screamed in madness and abandoned his sword to flee. I swung my sword horizontally; the sword energy dispersed as cold light shot past his feet. Dongfang Zhen's legs sank into the snow, and his upper body tumbled forward. 0

"Are you human or ghost?" Dongfang Zhen cried out as he sealed his Meridians to prevent the cold from invading his body. 0

I replied, "If you're so afraid of dying, why do you need to flaunt your power in front of others and even kill those who protect you?" 0

Dongfang Zhen retorted, "If you kill me, my godfather will never let you go!" 0

I shook my head and said, "Clearly, Dongfang Yuqing is the son of Dongfang Jiu. The legacy of Sword Pavilion will either be passed to Dongfang Yuqing or given to a powerful figure from the Dongfang family. You think he would pass it to you? That's a foolish dream; you're merely a pawn for him to step down gracefully." 0

"You’re talking nonsense!" Dongfang Zhen shouted. "I—" 0

I pierced through Dongfang Zhen's throat with my sword, retrieving the Zhou Compass from his grasp and storing it in my Qi Sea. Then I cut open his back and extracted the Invisible Sword from the base of his neck. I said, "Douding, this Invisible Sword will be yours from now on." 0

"Wow, you really can't see it unless you look closely." Douding played with the sword hilt, shaking his head as he said, "I don't want it. I don't know Daoist Arts, and I don't like killing." 0

"Alright then, I'll keep it for you. If you want it later, I'll give it back." I stored the Invisible Sword into the Qi Sea and walked through the heavy snow with Douding towards the mountain's edge. 0

Meanwhile, far away on Azure Cloud Mountain, Yunxi gazed at the ruins beneath her feet in silence. A few years ago, when she became the Azure Cloud Mountain Guardian, she stood atop Azure Summit looking down at the landscape, pondering where she would go once she left Azure Cloud Mountain. 0

Now, Yunxi was many times stronger than before, exuding a faint ethereal aura, her presence much colder than it had been. 0

As Yunxi looked at the remnants of walls and skeletons scattered across the mountain, her hand pressed against Azure Cloud Hall, releasing a chill that spread outwards. In an instant, the entire Azure Cloud Mountain was encased in ice. 0

In the Sword Pavilion's council hall, someone suddenly reported, "Sword Master, several Soul Lamps in our Sword Pavilion shrine have just extinguished. This includes Elder Mo and Eastern Elder, as well as Eastern Young Master." 0

"Dongfang Yuqing is in trouble?!" Dongfang Jiu's face changed drastically, nearly spitting out a mouthful of blood. 0

The disciple replied, "No, it's Dongfang Zhen, Young Master." 0

An elder standing beside Dongfang Jiu scolded him, "What’s wrong with you? Dongfang Zhen is merely a distant relative; think before you report!" 0

"I understand my mistake," the disciple knelt on the ground, trembling with fear. 0

"Alright, you can leave now," said the Elder of the Sword Pavilion. He then turned to Eastern Nine: "Sword Master, with Zhou Compass and Elder Mo here, breaking an ancient sword seal should be no problem. They are far away in the snowy mountains, and our Sword Pavilion operates in secrecy; such an incident shouldn't happen." 0

Eastern Nine replied, "There must be something amiss here. The message from Elder Mo indicates they indeed found a famous sword, but why did they suffer total annihilation? This requires further investigation. The mountain region is extremely cold; if their movements were detected by other sects, then they must have provoked some extraordinary recluse living in the mountains." 0

I had just arrived at the mountain boundary with Douding when he suddenly fainted. His complexion was pale, and a golden light was emanating from his forehead. 0

"What happened?" I asked. Aside from his weakness, I couldn't determine the cause of the golden light flickering on his brow. 0

I gathered some spiritual herbs at the foot of the mountain and fed them to Douding. He had been in a deep sleep for a year, and it was not advisable to use Holy Medicine; otherwise, he would be overwhelmed and could face serious health issues. 0

Half an hour later, Douding woke up. "Brother, it seems my senior brother is in trouble. You have to take me to save him." 0

I was puzzled about when Douding had gained such abilities. When Qingliang Temple disbanded years ago, the disciples entered the secular world to make a living. Only his senior brother inherited the legacy of Qingliang Temple. Now that Douding had awakened, he could sense the state of an old acquaintance. 0

I asked, "Where is he now?" 0

Douding seemed dazed, as if he were looking at something far away. He murmured, "That place is called the Refining Fire Hall." 0

"The Western Divine Serpent Sect?" 0
