In the Kunlun Secret Realm, everyone was gathered around the altar, where a furry beast, about the size of a head, was conducting a selection ceremony. 0

It was clear to all that this seemingly harmless creature was extraordinary, as the giant beasts of the entire Kunlun Demon Realm knelt before it. They likely sacrificed their lives for its birth, and any living being that saw it fled in terror. 0

The beast had a round head with bright eyes and emitted proud snorts, as if selecting slaves. It flew over the heads of the crowd, pausing briefly in front of several prominent disciples before moving on. When it reached me, it looked at me eagerly and pointed at my chest while making snorting sounds. 0

Everyone turned to look at me with jealous expressions, thinking the beast was choosing me as its master. However, it quickly flew away towards Rain Master Luo. Rain Master Luo frowned and extended his left hand. The beast hopped onto his palm for a moment before suddenly pouncing directly at me. 0

I immediately raised my Dao Qi for defense, but the beast ignored it and burrowed into my body. The crowd looked on in confusion, and Wu and Huzi were both stunned. 0

"What is it doing? A parasitic beast?" Huzi asked. 0

I felt nervous as I realized the beast had flown up to my Soul Qi Sea. First, it rummaged through my Treasure Basin for Tai Sui, tasting a clawful before playing on my Zhou Compass, giggling like a baby. It held its belly as if hungry and was about to fly out of my Qi Sea when it seemed to sense something. Then, like a dog, it pulled something from my Soul. 0

A dark ink-like script floated out, resembling an ancient book wrapped in text being dragged by the beast. The beast let out a fierce cry; it was the Book of Life and Death within me. The book emitted a dark and sinister glow, causing the beast to be violently thrown back and fall onto the altar. 0

Sitting on the ground like an adorable kitten, the beast whimpered as if hurt by the power of the Book of Life and Death. Only then did everyone relax; some who could communicate with beasts began to use their techniques to reach out to it. 0

The beast lifted its head and blew a large bubble that grew bigger and bigger until it enveloped everyone except me. 0

Panic erupted among the crowd because just moments ago someone had been taken into the air by one of the beast's bubbles, leaving them wondering where they had gone. 0

The enormous bubble wrapped around thousands of people and drifted toward the secret realm's exit. The beast clapped its paws together, laughing like silver bells. It bounced over to me, waving its fists as if urging me to follow. 0

I was already stunned by this newly born creature as it ran beneath a totem, clawing at it while calling out like a chick searching for its mother. 0

The totem shifted, causing a landslide within the mountain. Inside was a modest Herb Garden filled with vibrant flowers and plants radiating Spirit Energy—hundreds of them—all Holy Medicine. Additionally, there were some unripe Medicine Kings among them. 0

In the Rear Kunlun, a place untouched for a thousand years, the vast land must surely harbor Holy Medicine. However, as I journeyed through, aside from a few Holy Medicine released by the Yaochi Saintess, all the others had mysteriously vanished, collected by various beasts to be offered to the creature. 0

The beast laughed heartily and rolled around in the Holy Herb Garden. It pulled up a Holy Medicine that resembled a Radish and hugged it tightly, munching away with a proud expression. I stepped into the Holy Herb Garden and reached out to pull up another Holy Medicine. The beast immediately jumped up, pointing at me and hopping around, making sounds as if scolding me. 0

With a sudden effort, I yanked the Holy Medicine from the ground. In my hand, it exuded a rich fragrance, featuring two leaves with golden inscriptions enveloping its fruit. A droplet of liquid resembling water oozed from the fruit. I murmured, "This is the Dragon's Spit Grass from the medicinal scriptures." 0

I tucked the Dragon's Spit Grass into my embrace, my face lighting up with joy as I turned towards the Holy Herb Garden. As for this beast, I would reluctantly keep it. 0

The beast looked at me longingly as I took its Holy Medicine. Suddenly, it blew a bubble that was unlike any before—this one was colorful. The Seven-Colored Bubble enveloped the entire Holy Herb Garden, uprooting it and encasing it within. 0

The beast pointed at me and gestured for me not to move. I stood still, watching as it transplanted the Holy Herb Garden above my Qi Sea. With a slight thought, I attempted to extract some Holy Medicine from the garden but found myself unable to penetrate the beast's Seven-Colored Bubble. 0

At that moment, a sound of popping bubbles echoed from afar. The beast made a shushing gesture towards me and then jumped into my arms before following its path into the Holy Herb Garden within my Qi Sea. 0

Behind us, others burst through the bubble and rushed towards the altar. 0

"The demon king has recognized you as its master," Dongfang Zhen asked. 0

I shook my head and replied, "No, it suddenly broke through the totem and flew back to Mars in a spacecraft." 0

Everyone was silent. 0

Nangong Lin squinted his eyes, revealing a look of confusion. "There’s residual energy of Holy Medicine here, and it's quite strong." 0

I ignored him and instead asked, "By the way, what exactly was that thing just now?" 0

The crowd was abuzz with speculation, unsure of what kind of beast it was. Even if it were a Demon King, it couldn't possibly be this adorable in its youth. 0

"Hmph, that Demon King drove us all away, leaving only you behind. With the Spirit Energy here so abundant, it must have recognized you as its master," someone pointed at me. 0

I raised an eyebrow and replied, "So what if it recognizes me as its master? The spirit chooses its master; what’s mine is mine, not yours. Anyone unafraid of death can try to take it from me." 0

"Then I really want to give it a try," Nangong Lin suddenly said. 0

"Count me in," Dongfang Zhen added. 0

Huzi and Iron Bull stood beside me, facing Dongfang Zhen and Nangong Lin. A wicked smile crept onto Nangong Lin's lips as he said, "If I'm not mistaken, you must be Yang Sanqian's son, the owner of the Book of Life and Death." 0

At this revelation, the crowd erupted into chaos, buzzing with discussions about me. Although many had witnessed the fall of Qingyun, few had seen me and were unaware that I was the owner of the Book of Life and Death. 0

"Nangong Young Master, I wonder if your claim is true," some disciples from various factions and a few rogue cultivators asked. 0

Nangong Lin replied, "Why not just ask him?" 0

"Haozi, don’t admit it," Wu transmitted to me. 0

I said, "Yes, I am Yang Hao, the son of Yang Sanqian and Yaochi Saintess Jiyao, the owner of the Book of Life and Death. Do you have any other thoughts?" 0

"Arrogant," a young man scoffed. "The Book of Life and Death endangers all living beings; it should be destroyed. Yet you hide it within yourself. Hand over the Book of Life and Death immediately, and we may spare your life." 0

I burst into laughter. "You think you lot can kill me? Take a good look at yourselves first. Anyone who dares to speak nonsense will be killed without mercy." 0

"Nangong Lin said, 'As everyone can see, those who possess the Book of Life and Death will naturally be influenced by it, their minds controlled and egos inflated. Such people must be eliminated.' 0

'Nangong Lin, you play your cards well. If you have the ability, come and face me in a few rounds. What’s the point of stirring up trouble here?' I looked at Nangong Lin and said. 0

Nangong Lin replied, 'I'm just speaking the truth. How could I, Nangong Lin, be a match for the owner of the Book of Life and Death? If I anger them and they decide to kill me, that would be a great injustice. I'm merely expressing my public opinion.' 0

'Hypocritical,' Huzi glanced at Nangong Lin and said. 0

'Are you really the owner of the Book of Life and Death?' Rain Master Luo asked me. 0

I nodded at Rain Master Luo, who remained expressionless, showing no reaction. 0

'Dongfang Zhen shouted, 'Such arrogant fools cannot be spared. Surround them!' 0

The disciples of Sword Pavilion immediately drew their swords and surrounded us tightly, with some disciples from other sects joining in. Huzi said, 'Hao, what should we do now?' 0

I replied, 'It's simple. Just kill them all; there's nothing worth preserving with them.' 0

As I spoke, all the flying needles on my body shot out, swirling around me. Nangong Lin warned, 'Everyone be careful; this Yang Hao knows the flying needle technique.' 0

Upon hearing this, everyone activated their Dao Qi for protection. A group of sword-wielding disciples charged at us. My hundreds of Silver Needles darted among them like a shuttle, claiming the lives of hundreds in an instant. Their defenses were as fragile as paper against my needle technique. 0

Seeing the bodies lying around me, the crowd began to retreat. Dongfang Zhen threw a punch at me; I executed Rift Path and countered with a punch of my own. Dongfang Zhen let out a terrible scream as his skin tore open, falling back into the distance. 0

'This is the consequence of offending me. Anyone who isn't afraid of death can come at me,' I said coldly." 0

"Die, thief," the elder of the Sword Pavilion shouted angrily, swinging his sword toward my position. 0

The Five People immediately jumped away, and I vanished from my spot, reappearing behind the Elder of the Sword Pavilion in the blink of an eye. The Fish Intestine Sword aimed for his back, but just then, I was suddenly struck by an unseen force that sent me flying, crashing into the skeletal remains of several massive beasts. 0

Panicking, I looked around, unsure who had attacked me. Suddenly, an immense pressure descended from above as a gigantic palm came crashing down. 0

I raised my hand to meet it, dust flying everywhere as my feet sank half a foot into the ground. The surrounding ordinary disciples were also sent flying by the force of that palm. 0

"This kid really has some skills," a cold voice echoed as a group of people appeared on the mountaintop. The speaker was none other than the Wudang Sect Leader. 0

On the mountaintop were Nangong from the Serpent Cult, Dongfang Jiu from the Sword Pavilion, as well as members from Arched Eyebrows, Wudang, and the Yinshan Yang Family. Since we entered Rear Kunlun seven days ago, the restrictions set by the Saint Sovereign had long since vanished, allowing experts from major sects to enter the secret realm without obstruction. 0

"It was you who attacked me," I said to the Wudang Sect Leader. 0

"That's right," he replied. "My Wudang Twins were assassinated by you. Is it wrong for me, as their leader, to seek revenge? Remember this name: Zhang Ziling. One year from today will be your death anniversary." 0

With that, Zhang Ziling leaped down and charged at me. Eastern Nine interjected, "Brother Ziling, this kid still has many secrets we don't know about. Just vent your anger; don't accidentally kill him." 0

Zhang Ziling said, "If someone with the Book of Life and Death could be easily killed, he wouldn't have survived until now. I'll only cripple his cultivation and leave him with his resentment." 0

As Zhang Ziling flew toward me, I shouted and unleashed Rift Path. The air trembled as my fist glowed with energy. In mid-air, Zhang Ziling saw Rift Path approaching him and suddenly unleashed a surge of purple Vital Energy around him. Our power levels were worlds apart; even though Rift Path was a forbidden technique, it couldn't affect Zhang Ziling. 0

The purple Vital Energy surrounding him surged toward me violently. I was struck by a palm and sent flying, rolling on the ground for seven or eight circles before finally coming to a stop. 0

"Wudang Ultimate Technique: Righteous Qi," I wiped the blood from my mouth and spoke. 0

Zhang Ziling chuckled and said, "No wonder you're someone who has learned from various schools; I, from Wudang, have not had anyone master Righteous Qi in a hundred years, yet you recognized it at a glance." 0

Wudang has three ultimate techniques: Sword Qi, Seven Stars, and Gang. Sword Qi refers to the Wudang Sword Qi Slash, while Seven Stars refers to the Wudang Seven Star Sword Formation, which can be executed by the seven elders to slay a Supreme. Gang represents the purest and most Yang form of Righteous Qi, a Daoist technique said to be able to block any Daoist Arts attack. 0

"Wow, I didn't expect this old man to have some skills," Eastern Nine remarked. 0

Zhang Ziling smirked and pointed a finger at me. His sword finger cut through the air as I activated Time Walk, disappearing from his sight. I then gripped the Fish Intestine Sword and appeared behind Zhang Ziling, slashing toward the back of his head. Zhang Ziling quickly turned and punched toward my chest, sending me flying backward. 0

"Hao!" Huzi shouted angrily as he charged at Zhang Ziling. 0

"Don't go over there; you'll just be throwing your life away," Wudao warned. 0

"Boss!" Iron Bull yelled as he rushed toward Zhang Ziling with a massive hammer in hand. Zhang Ziling unleashed a palm strike from several dozen meters away, sending Iron Bull flying back, blood spewing from his mouth. 0

Zhang Ziling looked at me and said, "Is that all? Let's see how much longer you can keep jumping around." 0

"Master, let me take him down," Zhang Xing stepped out from the crowd at that moment. 0

Zhang Ziling nodded. Zhang Xing glared at me fiercely and said, "I didn't expect your retribution to come so quickly." 0
