Human Sacrifice
In a certain mountain valley of Rear Kunlun, a Wudang Disciple was struck down in an instant by a flying needle, collapsing to the ground without a sound. The onlookers were filled with dread, glancing around in confusion, unsure of who had made the move.
Having mastered the profound secrets of the Martial Dao Classic and the peculiar techniques of the Underworld Sect, my application of ordinary attack methods had surpassed imagination. I was particularly adept at using flying needles to kill.
In the Daoist World, danger lurked at every turn; one misstep could lead to death. Facing hundreds alone required immense strength to survive. If my protective Dao Qi showed even the slightest weakness, it could be exploited by others to deliver a fatal blow.
The faces of the Wudang Twins changed dramatically. Zhang Xing exclaimed, "Who dares to slaughter my Wudang Disciple? Step forward and fight me!"
I replied, "I fear that if I don't eliminate some of the pests around you first, you might be burdened with psychological distress."
"Was it you who made the move?" Zhang Xing glared at me with anger, and everyone turned their gaze toward me.
"Hao!"
Huzi's eyes lit up upon seeing me, his expression filled with excitement. Ever since our parting at Futu Ridge, we hadn't met again; it felt like we would never see each other in this lifetime.
Wu was furious at my presence. "Yang Hao, you've been here all along, haven't you? You waited until I was beaten for so long before making your move. Hmph."
Zhang Yue squinted at me and asked, "Was it really you who did this?"
I countered, "Who else do you think could have done it?"
Zhang Yue replied, "Well then, it's good that some useless trash has died. Now I'll kill you as well to accompany them."
As he spoke, he radiated a bright moonlight that formed a lunar shadow rushing toward me. Suddenly, I vanished from everyone's sight and reappeared in his original position.
The crowd gasped in astonishment, and even the Wudang Twins were taken aback. I remarked, "Indeed very fast, but still not fast enough."
Zhang Xing saw this and swung his sword at me. I vanished once more from my spot. Zhang Xing struck again, and the onlookers screamed in horror as some from other sects were instantly killed.
"Zhang Xing, can't you see?" someone shouted in anger.
Zhang Yue turned to the person who yelled and barked, "Get lost!"
With a single swing of his sword, he ruthlessly killed several onlookers. The crowd was filled with rage but dared not voice it. The reputation of the Wudang Twins instilled fear in the Daoist Sect; few could match them in the Kunlun Demon Realm.
Both were early-stage Core Formation experts, their skills surpassing those of some Elders from the Qingyun Sect present. Most importantly, they practiced Wudang Sword Qi and the Star-Moon Secret Classic from Wudang, allowing them to work together to slay an Elder.
Zhang Xing and Zhang Yue stood close together, with Zhang Xing's eagle-like eyes scanning the surroundings. I hovered above Mountain Valley and said, "You’ve searched for half the day without finding me; there’s no need to be so tense."
Zhang Xing swung his sword again, unleashing a powerful sword aura that split the air, causing a massive boulder to fall from above Mountain Valley, crushing a wild boar inside into a pulp.
As dust and smoke filled the air, I soared upward, launching my Silver Thread. It twisted and turned, piercing through their weakest defense at their feet and ensnaring Zhang Yue's ankle.
The Silver Thread pierced Zhang Yue's ankle, prompting a scream from him. Zhang Xing swiftly cut the Silver Thread with his sword and then aimed another strike at me in mid-air.
I crossed my arms to block it as I fell from the sky. The crowd heard the clanging of metal and looked at my arms, which bore two clear marks, yet miraculously, my arms were unharmed.
"What kind of person is this? He took Wudang Sword Qi with his bare body; is he even human?"
"He must be a talent cultivated by some Supreme Sect. Didn’t someone just call him Yang Hao? I suspect he’s a disciple of the Yinshan Yang Family."
"Isn't this generation of Yinshan Yang Family called Yang Long? Did he change his name?"
Zhang Xing frowned and looked at me, asking, "Who exactly are you?"
"I am Yang Hao, without a sect or master, I have forged my own path."
"Arrogant!" Zhang Xing shouted angrily, his sword radiating a fierce killing intent. With a swift motion, he thrust his sword downward, sending a wave of sword energy piercing through the ground towards me. Zhang Yue swung his sword horizontally, and I leaped into the air, narrowly avoiding their attacks. Zhang Xing's fingers moved in unison, causing the scattered swords on the ground to pursue me.
I flew towards Mountain Valley, evading the onslaught of swords, but they followed closely like shadows. Just then, a loud roar echoed: "Master, Iron Bull is here!"
Iron Bull suddenly appeared, leaping in front of the swarm of swords. He swung his massive hammer with great force, knocking down all the flying swords.
At that moment, Zhang Xing and Zhang Yue exchanged glances. Their eyes transformed dramatically; stars appeared in Zhang Xing's gaze while a bright moon shone in Zhang Yue's. Upon seeing me, the light of Starlight engulfed me. I heard five astonished voices exclaiming, "The heart is the Star-Moon Secret Technique; it can drag a person into the void!"
Suddenly, everything fell silent as I plunged into darkness.
"Am I now in the void?" It is said that supreme beings who reach the pinnacle of their cultivation can tear open the void and traverse space according to certain rules, moving thousands of miles in an instant. The Thousand Li Talisman operates on this principle. However, where I found myself was pitch black, cold, and devoid of breath—nothing was visible, as if I had been teleported into outer space.
This was another realm; it truly was the rumored void. I closed my eyes and extended my consciousness but found nothing unusual. I recalled an ancient text I had read among hundreds of thousands of scrolls that described how supreme beings could use unparalleled secret arts to break through the void and disrupt the balance of the earth, leading to chaotic time flows. The only way to counter this was to use Daoist Arts of the same nature to resist it; otherwise, one could be swept into the chaotic void flow and even a Daoist Grandmaster would be torn to pieces.
"My Time Walk should belong to spatial Daoist Arts, allowing me to traverse the void in an instant to reach another location, but that alone is not enough." I closed my eyes and focused on everything around me. As my understanding deepened, I saw runes intertwining and energy paths forming—a wall separating worlds lay before me.
Huzi, Wuhe, and Iron Bull were engaged in a fierce battle against the Wudang Twins. They were being pushed back relentlessly. Zhang Yue laughed heartily and struck at Iron Bull with his sword. Iron Bull blocked with his hammer but was sent flying several meters away, his wrist trembling and bleeding.
May Day pressed his palm against the ground as runes lit up beneath him, trapping the Wudang Twins' feet. Yet they showed no fear; instead, they chuckled lightly. The eyes of Starlight turned towards Wu Ye, who was illuminated by their light and pulled into the void.
I could sense Wu Ye struggling not far from me. With a flick of my hand, he was drawn beside me. The essence of Martial Dao Classic completed its cycle within me; my eyes shone brightly—one filled with stars and the other with moonlight—as I took Wu Ye through the void and emerged amidst the crowd.
Everyone gasped in shock; the Wudang Twins looked horrified as if they had witnessed something truly terrifying.
"What is happening? The Star-Moon Secret Classic cannot be reversed unless a master at the Great Ascension stage breaks through the void! Who exactly are you?" Zhang Yue bellowed.
I said, "I must also thank Gemini for diligently using the secret arts, allowing me to gain some insights."
Zhang Xing looked at my hidden Starlight Moonwheel in shock and exclaimed, "Impossible! How could one person possibly cultivate the Star-Moon Secret Classic? How did you obtain the Star-Moon Secret Classic?"
In my eyes, the Starlight Moonwheel shone brightly, distorting the void. Both Zhang Xing and Zhang Yue unleashed the Star-Moon Secret Technique to resist. Sweat appeared on their faces as they began to retreat. Just then, Iron Bull struck Zhang Yue's back with a Stone Hammer. Zhang Yue coughed up blood, which was mixed with internal organ clots.
I moved swiftly, darting past Zhang Yue and snatching the Millennium Purple Ginseng from his arms.
Zhang Xing supported Zhang Yue and quickly flew out of the crowd. He declared, "Yang Hao, I remember you! My brother and you are sworn enemies."
I replied, "I'll be waiting. Feel free to come after me, but next time you won't have a chance to escape."
The Wudang Twins fled in defeat, and I had also learned the Star-Moon Secret Classic. Fear gripped everyone as they looked at the Holy Medicine in my hand; no one dared to snatch it away.
Huzi ran over, patting my shoulder and laughing heartily, "Hao, I didn't expect you to be this powerful now."
Iron Bull added, "Of course! Master will eventually become the number one Supreme Master of the Dao."
At that moment, a sound of breaking air came from afar as a woman dressed in gray appeared above Mountain Valley. She looked to be around twenty-four or twenty-five years old, her eyes revealing a sense of determination. With her brow furrowed and a sword strapped to her back, she stared expressionlessly at me and the purple ginseng in my hand.
"Greetings, Senior Sister!" some Emei Female Disciples outside respectfully addressed her.
